EFDA and OIPDC
Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority and Oromia Industrial Parks Development Corporation have signed an MOU to work together on food safety and quality in agro-industrial parks governed by OIPDC.
Mrs. Heran Gerba, General Director of EFDA, expressed the Authority's commitment to backing food industries in integrated agro-industrial parks and their enthusiasm to work with OIPDC and other IAIPs in Ethiopia. She emphasized the importance of enhancing food safety through rigorous monitoring of standards, supporting stakeholders to achieve higher levels of compliance, and implementing preventive measures.
Mr Mangistu Regasa , Deputy CEO of OIPDC, highlighted the corporation's dedication to ensuring food safety and quality in Bulbula Integrated Agro Industrial Parks and in upcoming industrial parks administered by OIPDC. He also mentioned that 44 investors and 54 food products are awaiting EFDA support in Bulbula IAIP and 6 RTCs . In conclusion, both institutions have agreed to collaborate on food safety and quality and showing their commitment in implementing the signed MOU.

Olenchiti Rural Transformation Centre (RTC)

Turaa Degaagaa PLC has entered into an agreement with the OIPDC to establish an animal feed factory within the Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park. During the signing ceremony, the CEO of Turaa Degaagaa PLC expressed confidence that construction of a facility at the park will commence shortly. The CEO of OIPDC affirmed that Bulbula IAIP is an ideal location for the production of animal feed, utilizing various inputs from industries located within the park and its surrounding areas.
