#Case_Number_54

On yesterday, a sheep was brought up to VTH for the diagnosis and treatment of the eccentricity that the sheep was with.

The owner complained that his sheep manifested a clinical sign of submandibular edema and diarrhea since the last Tuesday.

Clinical Findings:-

Fever (40.3), diarrhea, tachypnea, submandibular edema, nasal discharge and enlargement of superficial lymph nodes were encountered during clinical examination of the diseases sheep.

DDx

*PPR
*Haemonchosis
*Fasciolosis

Tentative Diagnosis:-

PPR and Haemonchosis (Concurrent infection)

Definitive Diagnosis:-

Up on laboratory examination, barble pole (Haemonchos contortos) was identified via sedimentation technique. As a result of this, Haemonchosis and PPR were concluded as the diseases that affect the sheep.

Treatment:-

Albendazole and Long acting Oxy-TTC (20%) were administered to give a relief for the the sheep the the sheep was with.
