Al-Allamah Sulayman bin Abdullah said:

"If someone were to pronounce the two shahadas without understanding its (correct) meaning, and he performed acts of worship like salah, fasting, and hajj merely because they observed others doing so, and (he) refrained from any act of shirk, there would be no doubt about the absence of his Islam. So, what about those who worship graves? Those who are ignorant of its meaning AND engage in actions that contradict the shahada? Their kufr is more severe due to their belief in multiple deities"

❝If you had seen the Sahabah, you would’ve said: They’re crazy!
If the Sahabah had seen you, they’d say: They’re not Muslims!❞

I had tried to find the source for this, didn't come across anything, however, the closest to this quotation is the one I have shared above. Please circulate the right thing. And there is no book as "Al Hilyah" it is, "حلية الأولياء وطبقات الأصفياء" may Allah grant us sincerity and forgive us all Ameen. It is Friday, May Allah grant us all protection and wellbeing and defeat the enemies of His religion and not make us from amongst them.

"By Allah, I met seventy of those who fought at Badr, most of whom wore wool. If you saw them, you would say they were madmen. If they saw the best of you, they would say, 'These people have no portion [in the Hereafter].' If they saw the worst of you, they would say, 'These people do not believe in the Day of Judgment.' I saw people for whom the world was less valuable than the dust under their feet. I saw people who would walk, having only enough provisions for one day, yet they would say, 'I will not put all of this in my stomach; I will give part of it to Allah,' and they would give some of it in charity, though they were in more need than the one they gave it to."

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “When the Prophet (peace be upon him) became gravely ill, he began to lose consciousness. Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, ‘Oh, the distress of my father!’ He said to her, ‘There will be no distress for your father after today.’

When he passed away, she said, ‘Oh my father, he has responded to the call of his Lord. Oh my father, whose abode is the Garden of Paradise. Oh my father, we announce your departure to Gabriel.’

When he was buried, Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, ‘Oh Anas, how could you bring yourselves to throw earth on the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?’”

Ahmad bin 'Isā رحمه الله, one of the students of Shaykh 'Abdullāh Abā Butayn رحمه الله told about about what was rumored regarding the people of Najd, that they don't ask Allāh to send salawāt upon the Prophet ﷺ nor that they love him:

He replied:

"Exalted are you, (O Allāh); this is a great slander."

(📚: Qur'ān 24:16)

Our 'Aqīdah and madhab is that he who does not send salawāt upon the Prophet (ﷺ) in the last tashahud in the salāh, then his prayer is invalid and he who does not love him (ﷺ) is a Kāfir.

What we, people of Najd, deny, is raising people above their status which the Prophet (ﷺ) had warned about, as well as seeking help and aid from the dead, and we devote to Allāh alone."

Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله:

"No one should speak without knowledge. Rather, one must beware of those who speak about religious matters without understanding and those who address intellectual matters without insight. Some people, claiming to support religion with their deficient intellects and flawed reasoning, end up doing more harm; their actions have given atheists, the enemies of religion, a reason to criticize. Thus, they neither supported Islām nor defeated its enemies."
