وفيها شرح أخلاق المؤمن مع ربه، كخُلق: الصدق، والحب، والحياء، والمحاسبة، والتوبة، والإنابة، والخشوع، والخوف، والرجاء، والإخلاص، والمراقبة، والورع، والتوكل، والشكر، والصبر، والطاعة، والتسليم، إلى غير ذلك من أخلاق الأنبياء والصالحين مع رب العالمين.

*دورة في 21 و22 من يونيو*

وفيها الاعتناء بالسلوك على وفق مكارم الأخلاق في التعامل مع الخلق، كأخلاق: العدل، والصدق، والتواضع، والحياء، والرحمة، والصلة، والبر، والإحسان، والعفو، والكرم، وبذل المعروف، ونصر المظلوم، والرفق، والسماحة، وحُسن الظن، وغير ذلك من الأخلاق العليّة.

والتحذير من أضدادها التي هي مساوئ الأخلاق.

نسأل الله أن يوفق الجميع لما يحبه ويرضاه.

The Usul al-Fiqh plan!

Now I know many people want an Usul al-Fiqh course, and want to be confident in Fiqh conclusions by understanding how Fiqh actually works.

People also want to approach Usul al-Fiqh using first principles (from the ground up), and through relevant, practical and contemporary examples.

For this reason, I plan to deliver this Usul al-Fiqh course.

What we'll cover:
1) The actual purpose of Usul al-Fiqh
2) The nature of probability (dhann/qat')
3) Qiyas (Legal Analogy)
4) Ijma' (Consensus)
5) The exact authority of Companions (Madhhab al-Sahabah)
6) Madinan Practice
7) Role of Custom ('Urf)
8) The elasticity of language (Dalalat al-Alfadh)
9) Maqasid
10) Ijtihad & Taqlid
11) The nature of the Mu'tamad (i.e. 'official' positions)
12) What does it actually mean to 'follow the tradition/salaf'?
... And many things I can't fit here!

This will all start on 8th December 2024 over twenty-five sessions, right until June 2025.

For this course, Arabic is a prerequisite (as we will be covering classical texts), and prior Usul al-Fiqh study is recommended though not necessary.

This is a good book by the senior scholar Sh. Abdullah al-Juday'.

The book is about how to understand the prophetic reports on the beard, its length, and whether they indicate obligation or recommendation.

I believe there's a big divide between how this topic is perceived in the scholarly vs. public space, and also the classical views surrounding the issue.

Therefore, I hope to host a live Zoom session on this book, where I summarise the book contents and offer my own thoughts. The goal is to make the content accessible in English.

9 – Mindset of permissibility “Eat in abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree”.
11 – Do we need to know the reason or wisdom behind a prohibition?
16 – Prohibitions are limited, and they all have exemptions.
22- The default in all consumables is permissibility.
25 - Forbidden is what Allah and His messenger forbade.
29- Not everything that's forbidden is necessarily impure.

38 – All remains on origin of physical purity unless clear text says otherwise.
40 - Do not follow people-of-the-book in their strictness. It's not Quranic approach.

سألت الشيخ عن إسناد في تفسير الطبري وذكر لي قاعدة قيمة قال لي:

هناك علتان من جهة شيوخ الطبري فكل ما تجد الطبري يحدث عن
١) ابن حميد
٢) سفيان بن وكيع
فالاسناد ضعيف.

وقال لي سفيان هذا ابن وكيع بن الجراح وقد أفسد حديث والده.
