من الفروق بين (الشفا بتعريف حقوق المصطفى) للقاضي عياض و(الشمائل المحمدية) للترمذي:
أن (الشفا) أوصَفُ لصفات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم المعنوية، و(الشمائل المحمدية) أوصفُ لصفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم الحسيَّةِ.
ولله درُّ البوصيري حين قال:
"فهْو الذي تمَّ معناه وصورتُه* ثم اصطفاه حبيبا بارئُ النَّسَمِ".
تمَّ معناه وصورتُه أي: تمَّت صفاتُه المعنويةُ والحسيةُ.
سيدي فوزي كوناتي

This text is the first English translation of The Maghāzī of Sayyidunā Muhammad ﷺ by the eminent Tabi'i scholar Musa ibn 'Uqbah, the earliest biography of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ currently known to exist.
Renowned in his own time as a muhaddith and historian, Mūsā ibn ʿUqbah ranks as one of the first individuals to compile reports specifically related to the sīrah, the biography of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His Maghāzī (Expeditions) was acclaimed by his contemporaries, such as Imam Malik, Imam al-Shafi’i, and Imam ibn Hanbal, as the most authentic work of its genre. In the years that followed, The Maghāzī of Sayyidunā Muhammad ﷺ served as an authoritative source for many later works on the life of Allah's Messenger ﷺ.
Until recently, no copies of The Maghāzī of Sayyidunā Muhammad ﷺ had been seen for nearly 500 years, and most scholars believed the text to be lost forever. The discovery of its manuscripts in the archives of the National Library of Tunisia is a significant event, the like of which the Ummah may not see again for many years, if ever.

The hadith about cows "Their milk is a cure and their flesh is an disease" is considered forged by al-Zarkashi in al-Ala'i al-manthura, and it was weakened by al-Dhahabi in his comments on al-Mustadrak. Even if the chains for this are sound (which is questionable) the text of the hadith is suspect. In Sura al-An'am Allah mentions cows when speaking about "the pure things" (al-Tayyibat), and there are authentic reports of the Prophet (salla Allah 'alayhi wa sallam) sacrificing a cow during the farewell Hajj and distributing the meat to his family. Are we to believe that something can--in and of itself, irrespective of how it is raised and treated--be both "pure" and a disease at the same time? And are we to believe that the Prophet (salla Allah 'alayhi wa sallam) gave his family diseased flesh? Allah forbid.
