💌Pregnant and breastfeeding Women who Missed their Fasts in Ramadān
The scholars have differed as to whether a woman who missed fasts due to her pregnancy or breastfeeding should make up the days she has missed (i.e. make qadā’) or feed a poor person for each day missed (i.e. give fidyah) and not make up. Or, is she to both make up the fast, and feed a poor person for each day missed? Over this, the scholars have presented their views based on their evidences.

160. Whoever brings a good deed (Islamic Monotheism and deeds of obedience to Allah and His Messenger ) shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed (polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy, and deeds of disobedience to Allah and His Messenger ) shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged.
161. Say (O Muhammad ): “Truly, my Lord has guided me to a Straight Path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham), Hanifa [i.e. the true Islamic Monotheism – to believe in One God (Allah i.e. to worship none but Allah, Alone)] and he was not of Al-Mushrikun (see V.2:105).”
162. Say (O Muhammad ): “Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
163. “He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.”

🔖What a Mocker Has to Remember About His [or Her] Reality When He [Or She] Mocks at Others

Allaah [The Most High] said:
{وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةً ۖ قَالُوا أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوًا ۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ}[سورة البقرة:٦٧]

And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: “Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow.” They said, “Do you make fun of us?” He said, “I take Allah’s Refuge from being among Al-Jahilun (the ignorants or the foolish). [2:67]
A Jaahil [ignorant one] is that one who speaks with a speech that contains no benefit and he mocks at the people. As for a sensible person, he sees that one of the most blameworthy traits -which is abhorred by [sound] religion and intellect- is to mock at someone who is a human being like himself. And if he has been favoured over another person, then this favour necessitates that he thanks Allaah and shows mercy to Allaah’s servants.  Therefore, when Musa [alayhis-salaam] said this to them [i.e. I take Allaah’s Refuge from being among the ignorant], they knew that it [i.e. what he commanded them] was truth, so they said:
{ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَ}[سورة البقرة:٦٨]

call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!(2:68)]

🔖The Reward For Good Deeds & the Consequence of Bad Deeds During The Sacred Months
( الأشهر الحرم )

إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
((Indeed, the number of months with Allaah is twelve [lunar] months in The Book of Allaah [in His ordained rulings] as of the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves therein. And fight against the polytheists collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allaah is with the Muttaqeen [the fearful and dutiful ones to Him].)) (At-Tawbah: 36)
 
Al-Haafidh Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah) said:
فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ
((so do not wrong yourselves therein))
 
meaning: in these sacred months[1] – because they are more emphatic and are graver in sin than in other than them. Just as committing sins in the Balad Al-Haraam (Sacred land) is multiplied manifold due to His saying The Most High:
وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
((and whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing – We shall cause him to taste a painful punishment.)) (Al-Hajj: 25)

🌷‎𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

‎"The daughter of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه came running, a young girl, so he hugged her to his chest, then kissed her, saying:

‎'Welcome, O protection of ʿAbd Allāh from the Fire.'"

‎📚 Makārim al Akhlaq, al Kharāiṭṭī 634

‎A beautiful example in this noble companion: that we shouldn’t see children as burdens, especially daughters, but rather as reasons to be saved from the hellfire. Because if we raised them correctly, we will be rewarded, and when we die, they’ll make Dua for us, as the Prophet ﷺ said:

‎إِذَا مَاتَ اَلْإِنْسَانُ اِنْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ: صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالَحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ.

‎"When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, 𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎."

‎📚 Narrated by Muslim.

‎And the Prophet ﷺ said about daughters specifically:

‎مَنْ عَالَ جَارِيَتَيْنِ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَا وَهُوَ كَهَاتَيْنِ وَضَمَّ أَصَابِعَهُ.

‎"Whoever supports two girls till they attain maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Resurrection like this." Messenger of Allah ﷺ then joined his fingers, illustrating this.

‎📚 Narrated by Muslim.

‎Our daughters, if raised right, will be means of obtaining Paradise and avoiding the Hellfire. We should love them and cherish them.

🔖What to do after knowing that not a single person who is alive is safe from trial

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
The Messenger of Allah, صلى الله عليه وسلم, said, “Indeed, the one who lives long amongst you will see a lot of differences, and beware of newly invented matters (in the religion) because it is misguidance. So whoever amongst you reaches that, upon him to adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided khulafaa, and bite onto it with the molar teeth”. (1)
Imam Ibn Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy upon him, said, “In this hadith is the command that when splitting and differing occurs, adhere to the Sunnah of the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the Sunnah of the khulafaa after him. The Sunnah is a path that should be adhered to and it includes that which the rightly guided khulafaa were upon in creed, actions and statements. This is the complete Sunnah”. (2)
Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Whoever wants to follow a path, let him follow the path of one who has passed away, for indeed the living are not safe from trial, and those (who have passed away) are the Companions of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. They were the most virtuous of this Ummah, the purest in heart, the most profound in knowledge and the least the sophisticated. Allah chose them to accompany His Prophet and to establish His religion, so recognise their status and follow in their footsteps and adhere as much as you can to their manners  and conduct, for they were upon upright guidance”. (3)
Imam Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:
There is not to be found in the statements of those who came after the pious predecessors (any) truth, except that it is found in their statements with a more concise wording and a shorter expression. There is not to be found in the statements of those who came after them (any) falsehood, except that there is in their statements that which clarifies its falsity for the one who understands and contemplates. There are wonderful meanings found in their statements and precise observations, which those who came after them were neither guided to nor knew about it. The one who does not take knowledge from their statements will miss all that goodness, alongside the many falsehoods he will fall into due to following those who came after them. (4)

Sitting with [such people] brings upon sickness in the heart. If you were to come to [someone like that] in a sad state, you’d leave feeling very depressed. And if you were to come to him feeling happy about things, you’d go back worried and distressed.
Meeting [a person like that] leaves you with bad thoughts about everything and feelings of hatred towards life. He doesn’t know [anything about] the language of optimism, motivation, hope, or encouragement.
Long, sour, frowning face, eyebrows drawn together–getting away from him is gain, while getting near to him is loss.

🔖Fasting in Winter Is an Easily Acquired Reward

Can Muslims utilise the winter season to gain easy rewards?

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Fasting in winter is an easily acquired booty.” (Reported by Aḥmad, al-Bayhaqī, al-Tabarānī, Ibn ‘Adī, Ibn ʿAsākir and others, and Shaykh al-Albānī graded it authentic.)  
Since the winter days are shorter and cooler than the other days of the year, a Muslim can fast the winter days easily.
Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) stated: “Indeed, the believer is able to fast the days of winter without difficulty or being troubled by hunger and thirst because its days of fasting are short and cold, so the difficulty of fasting is unnoticeable.” (Laṭāʾif al-Maʿārif, pg. 326)
Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) would say: “Shall I not direct you to an easily acquired booty?” They said: “Certainly”; so he said: “Fasting in the winter is an easily acquired booty.” (Laṭāʾif al-Maʿārif, pg. 326)
Therefore, we should strive to attain the easy reward of fasting in winter.

🌷How to Display Thankfulness for Allāh’s Blessings

🎙Al-ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ ibn al-Fawzānًحفطه الله تعالى

The correct attitude the Muslim should hold concerning the blessings bestowed upon him by his Lord and how adopting this attitude ensures their continuity.

[Q]: How should one be thankful for blessings? And what are we — as Muslims — required to do with all these innumerous and incalculable blessings?
[A:] That which is required is to be thankful for the blessings, and showing gratitude for blessings guarantees the continuity [of blessings being bestowed upon you].
Allāh said:
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: “If you give thanks, I will give you more, but if you are thankless, verily! My Punishment is indeed severe.”
[Sūrah Ibrāhīm, 14:7]
Gratitude has three pillars of which it cannot be called gratitude without:
Firstly: Acknowledging the blessings of Allāh inwardly, so that you know in yourself and in your heart that all these blessings come from Allāh, and that it is a favour from Him which he has bestowed upon you and the Muslims.
Secondly: Openly proclaim (the blessings of Allāh), Allāh mentions:
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
And proclaim the Grace of your Lord
[Surah al-Ḍuḥá, 93:11]
So proclaim the blessings of Allāh and thank Him for it. Remind your brothers of these blessings and incite them to show gratitude (to Allāh for these blessings).
Thirdly: Utilising (the blessings) accordingly in obedience to Allāh.

🌷Hadeeth - [Gentleness in The Households] - With Short Commentary By Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
Aa’isha [radiyallaahu anhaa] narrated that Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said to her, “O Aa’isha! Be gentle, for indeed when Allaah wishes good for a household, He guides them to gentleness”.
Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said: This hadeeth contains proof regarding the fact that it is obligatory to give sincere advice and the first people one should give sincere advice is the members of the household- the wives, sons, daughters and others. Also this hadeeth contains proof regarding the virtue of gentleness in all affairs, for indeed gentleness is not found in any affair except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it damages it. On the other hand, the opposite of gentleness is warn against and it is the harshness that is applied in other than its rightful place, because its end result will be alienation and disharmony. 🔖“The Virtue Is With Your Elders.”

📝Points:
▫️The age of maturity and full strength.
▪The virtue of age in the dīn of Allāh.
▫️The meaning of the statement of ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Abbās (رضى الله عنه), “The blessing is with your elders.”
▪️The reason ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنه) did not respond to a question posed by the Prophet ﷺ even though he knew the answer.
▫️The scholars’ dislike for narrating in a country that has someone older than them.
▪️Samurah b. Jundub (رضى الله عنه) on what stopped him from speaking even though he had memorised narrations from the Messenger ﷺ.
▫️The response of Sufyān b. ‘Uyaynah when a man asked him a question in the presence of Abū Bakr b. ‘Ayyāsh (رحمهم الله).
▪Honouring and respecting the elders is from our way.
▫️Abdullāh b. Mas’ūd (رضى الله عنه) on a necessary condition for the people to remain upon good.

▫️Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad ) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad ), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu ‘Alaikum).[SURAH AL-AHZAB: 56}

– The blessing of the tongue. – Every blessing can be utilised for good or evil. – Reflection upon how different types of people use the blessing of the tongue with various examples. – The Messenger ﷺ feared for his ummah regarding the tongue. – Various aḥadīth clarifying the dangers of the tongue. – {They may hide from men, but they cannot hide (them) from Allah, for He is with them (by His Knowledge), when they plot by night in words that He does not approve, And Allah ever encompasses what they do} (Surah Al-Nisa:108). – The story of “al-Ifk” demonstrates the consequences of the utterance of evil from the tongue. – A further example of the great consequences of vile rumours that were spread about the noble companion Uthmān ibn Affān رضي الله عنه. – Blessings should be utilized to draw closer to Allāh.

🔖The Life of the Streets Leads to Hell.

🌷‎[Mercy Towards Children]:

‎al-Imaam as-S’adee, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

‎Showing mercy towards children, being gentle towards them, and doing things to make them happy are all forms of mercy.

‎Just as not paying them any attention and a lack of gentleness are forms of roughness, sternness, and cruelty.

‎An example of this is when some rough bedouins saw the Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions kissing their small children, one of the bedouins said:

‎I have ten children; I have not kissed any of them.

‎The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

‎Am I able to do anything for you, if Allah has removed mercy from your heart?! [1]/[2]

‏بِاسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِي نَفْسِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ يُؤْذِيِنِي وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ اللهُ يَشْفِينِي

‏Bismillāhi arqī nafsi min kulli shay'in yu'dhīnī wa min sharri kulli nafsin aw 'aynin hasidin-Allāhu yashfini.

‏"In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah upon myself from everything that harms me and from the evil of every soul, or from every envious eye - may Allah cure me."

‎🔖'Ā'ishāh - The Mother of the Believers.
🎙️Abu Idrees
▫️Some virtues of the Mother of the Believers ‘Ā’ishah Bint Abī Bakr (رضى الله عنهما)
‎1. Allāh chose her to be the wife of the Messenger ﷺ.
‎2. She is the wife of the Messenger ﷺ in this life and in the hereafter.
‎3. Jibrīl (عليه السلام) would give salāms to her through the Messenger ﷺ.
‎4. Revelation would come down in her house.
‎5. The love the Messenger ﷺ had for her.
‎6. The obligation to have love for her.
‎7. She was the only virgin the Messenger ﷺ married.
‎8. The Messenger ﷺ gave witness regarding her elevated station and purity.
‎9. She is from the inhabitants of Paradise.
‎10. The Messenger ﷺ loved to be in the house of ‘Ā’ishah when he became sick.
‎11. The Messenger’s soul ﷺ was taken in her home and he was buried in her home.
‎12. The Messenger ﷺ bore witness that she was indeed a good and righteous woman [when accusations were made against her].
‎13. Allāh was the one who declared her innocence.
