Great Benefit in the Virtue of Fasting

The scholar bin ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
If the one who fasted (voluntarily) in this life comes on the Judgement Day with transgressions against the slaves, his good deeds will be taken from him, except for his voluntary fasts.

Because these fasting deeds are for Allah and not for the people. Thus fasting recompenses its doer in its entirety, and nothing is taken away from it as a result of wrongs against the people. This is what has been mentioned by some scholars with regards to Allah singling out the fast exclusively for Him.

- Thursday, 14th (17 Oct 2024)
- Friday, 15th (18 Oct 2024)

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: My friend (the Messenger of Allah) (ﷺ) instructed me to observe fast for three days in every month, to perform two Rak'ah (optional) Dhuha prayer at forenoon and to perform the Witr prayer before going to bed. - Al-Bukhari and Muslim

If one is unable to fast, then do not miss out on the reward of reminding others.
