The Ruling on Specifying the Middle Night and Day of the month of Sha'ban with Prayer and Fasting
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymin (d.1421H) - رحمه الله - said,
"The correct view is that fasting the middle of Sha'ban or specifying it with recitation or remembrance has no basis. The middle day of Sha'ban is like the middle days of the other months."

Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymin (d.1421H) - رحمه الله - said,

“It is not permissible for the traders to sell to the bargainer at a certain price and then sell to the one who does not bargain (i.e., the easygoing buyer who does not haggle) or to someone who does not know the actual price for more than that price. This is something that sellers are criticized for.”
(Majmu‘ al-Fatawa, 28/75)
“If the buyer is easygoing—and does not know the actual price of what is being sold—it is not permissible for the seller to deceive him by overpricing that goes beyond what is customary. Rather, the seller must sell to him at the usual price or close to it. If the seller deceives him by overpricing excessively, then the buyer has the option to either annul the sale or let it stand.” (Majmu‘ al-Fatawa, 29/359)

[The Danger of Ishq (Obsessive, Intense Love) on a Person's Religion and Mind]
Shaykh al-Islam, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
"Obsessive love for someone who is impermissible (a non-mahram) contains corruption that only the Lord of the servants fully knows and enumerates and it is one of the diseases that corrupts a person's religion, and then it may corrupt their mind and eventually their body."
(Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 10/132)
I say: This is why it is mentioned in the hadith:
"We have not seen anything like marriage for two who love one another."

“Guard your prayers strictly by perfecting the conditions, the pillars and obligations, for indeed the prayer is the last thing to be lost from the Religion and the first affair to be accounted for on the Day of Resurrection. So if you have guarded and preserved your prayer, you will be successful. And if you neglected and wasted your daily prayers, then in the other deeds, there will be even more loss.”

[The foremost to the Friday prayer are the foremost on the day of increase.]
Ibn Mas'ood - May Allah be pleased with him - said:
❝Rush to the Friday prayer, Allah visits the people of paradise and they see him every Friday while they (the people of paradise) are at a dune of white camphor. The peoples' closeness to Allah will be based upon how quickly they rushed to the Friday prayer. Allah will speak to them in an honored fashion that they had never seen before that.❞ (Saheeh)
Characteristics of the People of Paradise, by Ibn Abee ad-Dunya (Page 93).
Shaykhul Islam Ibnu Taymiyyah - May Allah have mercy upon him - said:
❝The Ulama use this hadith as a proof that it is highly recommended to come to Friday prayer early. And they have mentioned this meaning from the general meaning of the Ayah:
{والسابقون السابقون}
❝And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise).❞ Some of the scholars said ❝The foremost to the Friday prayers in the worldly life will be the foremost on the day of increase in the hereafter.❞

Shaykhul Islam also said: ❝And what Ibn Mas'ud has informed us of is an affair that can't be known except by a Prophet or someone who heard it from a prophet. So we know that Ibnu Masud took this information from the Prophet - Sallalahu Alayhi wa Sallam -.❞

Abū'l-Abbās Ibn Masrūq narrated from Suwayd Ibn Sa'īd that Al-Fuḍayl Ibn 'Iyāḍ said: ❝A man will be brought before Allāh, the Exalted, without having any good deeds. Allāh will say to him, ❛Go and see if you know any person of virtue so that I can forgive you for knowing them.❜ He goes searching for thirty years but is unable to find anyone. So he returns to Allah, the Exalted, and says, ❛O my Lord! I cannot find anyone.❜ Allāh will say, ❛Take him to Hell-fire.❜ The Angels of Hell grab hold of him and drag him to the Hell-Fire, thereupon the man pleads, ❛𝐎 𝐦𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝! THE YOUTH WHO HARMED THE BIRD

Al-Zamakhshari was punished due to the supplication of his mother against him. His story was mentioned by Ibn Khalikān in the book Deaths of Eminent Men. It was also narrated by Jamāl al-Dīn, the Copt, in his book Information of the Narrators. He said, ❝Al-Zamakhshari had one leg. He put a stick in place of his missing leg to assist him in walking. When he entered Bagdad, he was asked by the scholar Ad- Dāmaghāni* the reason his other leg was missing. He responded by saying, ❛This is the result of my mother's supplication against me. When I was a youth, I grabbed a sparrow and tied a string to its leg. It tried to fly away and escape from me and I pulled the string; and thus, its leg came off with the string. When my mother saw this, she said, ❛May Allāh cut off your leg, as you have cut off the leg of this bird!❜ When I became older, I traveled to seek knowledge in Bukhara (a city located in Uzbekistan). While traveling, my riding beast fell and crushed my leg, and my leg had to be amputated.❜❞

He is the noble scholar Abū 'Abdullāh Muhammad ibn 'Alī ibn Muhammad, born in the city of Damghan, Iran in the year 398 after the migration.

THE WOMAN WHO DELAYED THE PRAYER AND SPIED ON HER NEIGHBORS
Ibn Abī Dunyā narrated that ‘Amr ibn Dinar* said, ❝A man from Madinah had a sister that passed away. They prepared her body and carried her to the grave. After they buried her, they returned to their family. The man remembered that he forgot a bag inside of the grave. He took one of his companions with him to retrieve the bag. They dug up the grave and found the bag. The man said, ❛Let us check the condition of your sister.❜ They removed the plank covering the niche and found her grave ignited with fire. They covered the grave back with dirt and went to his mother to ask her about the condition of his sister. The mother said that she would delay the prayer until its time elapsed and she did not believe she would perform wudhu before praying. She would also go to the door of her neighbor when everyone was asleep and place her ear at their door to eavesdrop on their conversation.❞
I say in this story is a lesson and warning for those who delay the prayer until its time goes out, and those who are not concerned with properly performing wudhu for the prayer. This is also a warning and lesson for those who spy on the people and listen to their secrets and speech which they do not want others to hear. And how lowly are these types of people!
*Translator’s note: ‘Amr ibn Dinar was from the scholars of hadīth from the second generation of Muslims. He was from the students of the noble Companion Ibn ‘Abbās.

In the Two Ṣaḥīḥs the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: ❝𝐖𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚̄𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦.❞ Abū Bakr (radiyAllāhu 'anhu) said: ❛𝐎 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚̄𝐡'𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐢𝐳𝐚̄𝐫) 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 [𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝]?❜ Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said: ❝𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 (𝐤𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚̄'𝐚).❞
Know that pride is an inner characteristic (khuluq bāṭin) from which actions emanate and then manifest on the limbs (jawāriḥ). [The arrogant] views himself as being above others in perfect attributes (sifāt al- kamāl), at which point he is to be deemed as arrogant (mutakabbir). Conceit ('ujb) develops from this, he views himself as above others and whenever a person look at himself with the eye of greatness he will begin to despise others and view them as being like donkey compared to him.

The flaw of pride is immense and many notables have been destroyed as a result of it, and it rarely even leaves the pious worshipers ('ubbād), ascetics (zuhhād) and scholars ('ulāma'). How can it not be a flaw when the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ❝𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 (𝐤𝐢𝐛𝐫) 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞.❞

The beauty of Tawheed is it teaches you humility. Sincerity is being humble. You do good and don't feel puffed up that this is how it should be done. Rather, you feel scared that it won't be accepted because of a deficiency in yourself. This is what our elder scholars taught.

5. GETTING FORGIVENESS AT BED TIME
Whoever says when going to bed:
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ.
Lā ilāha ill-Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, wa Huwa ‘alā kulli shay'in qadīr, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh, subḥānallāhi wal-ḥamdulillāhi wa lā ilāha ill-Allāh, wallāhu Akbar.
There is none worthy of worship except Allāh, alone without partners, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs the praise, and He has power over all things. There is no might and no power except with Allāh. Allāh is free from imperfection, and all the praises belong to Allāh; there is none worthy of worship except Allāh, and Allāh is the Greatest.
[He] will be forgiven for his sins, (or he said) for his mistakes, even if they are equivalent to the foam of the ocean.
