"We attended the gatherings of our Shaykh, Imam al-Wadi‘i رحمه الله, and accompanied him frequently. We observed tremendous blessing in his nurturing of the students of knowledge, as he did not attach their hearts to the worldly life, salaries, jobs, honorary or official certificates, nor to competitions and celebrations. Rather, he would turn them away from all of that and attach their hearts to the reward and recompense from Allah, Exalted be His Majesty."

Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdanī رحمه الله:
THE BOOK OF ALLAH, EXALTED IS HE
“No matter how much a person reads it, he never gets enough of it. He never tires of reading it, nor tires of listening to it. The scholars neither tire nor become satisfied in deriving rulings and in obtaining the great and sublime meanings from the Book of Allah, exalted is He. A person continuously reads it, forever, without feeling any boredom. This is in contrast to any other book besides the Book of Allah, exalted is He. Who is there that can read any other book tens of times? Or hundreds of times? And then not feel bored? This is a unique characteristic of the Book of Allah, exalted is He.”

Among the greatest things that bring life to the heart is having a good assumption about your Lord. Beware of having a bad assumption of Allah ﷻ. If a person has a bad assumption of Allah, he does not hope for relief from Allah, nor does he hope for provision from Allah, nor does he hope for forgiveness from Allah, nor does he hope for aid from Allah, then he is among the despairing and misguided.

THE EFFECT OF DHIKR IN REMOVING FEAR
Imam Ibn-ul Qayyim (751 AH) - may Allah have mercy on him - said:
"The remembrance of Allah ﷻ removes all fears from the heart and has an amazing effect in generating a feeling of security.
Therefore, for the person who is afraid and whose fear has become intense, there is nothing more beneficial than the remembrance of Allah ﷻ.
According to his remembrance (of Allah), he will find security and his fear will disappear."
