၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ ဂျန်နဝါရီလ (၈)ရက်နေ့တွင် အကြမ်းဖက် စစ်ကောင်စီ (SAC) မှ ဂျက်ဖိုက်တာဖြင့် ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ရှိရှိ ဗုံးကြဲချတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် ရပ်ကွက် (၃)ခုရှိ လူနေအိမ်များ မီးပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန်လောင်ကျွမ်းမှု ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ပြီး သက်ကြီးရွယ်အိုများနှင့် ကလေးသူငယ် အများအပြား မီးထဲအသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ရပြီး နေအိမ်စုစုပေါင်း (၃၉၈)လုံး မီးလောင်ကျွမ်းပျက်စီးသွားခဲ့ပါသည်။

လက်ရှိအချိန်ထိ HDCO မှ ပြုစုထားသောစာရင်းများအရ သေဆုံးသူ (၂၆)ဦး၊ အလတ်စား၊ အပြင်းအထန်ဒဏ်ရာရသူ (၁၂) ဦး နှင့် အသေးစားဒဏ်ရာရရှိသူ (၁၅)ဦးအထက်မနည်း ရှိသည်။ ၎င်းအပြင် အလောင်းရှာမတွေ့ဘဲ ပျောက်ဆုံးနေသူများလည်း ရှိသည်ဟု သိရသည်။

၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ ဂျန်နဝါရီလ (၈)ရက်နေ့တွင် အာရက္ခပြည်၊ ရမ်းဗြဲမြို့နယ်၊ ကျောက်နီမော်ကျေးရွာအား အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်ကောင်စီလေတပ်မှ ဂျက်ဖိုက်တာဖြင့် ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် နေအိမ် နှင့် ပစ္စည်းဥစ္စာများ မီးလောင်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ရပြီး အခက်အခဲများစွာ ကြုံတွေ့နေရသော ပြည်သူများအား ULA/AA မှ အိမ်ထောင်စု (၃၇၉) စု၊ ကျား (၇၃၂) ဦး၊ မ(၉၅၀) ဦး၊ စုစုပေါင်း (၁၆၈၂) ဦး တို့အား ၁၄-၀၁-၂၀၂၅ ရက်နေ့တွင် စားနပ်ရိက္ခာ အရေးပေါ်ကူညီထောက်ပံ့မှု တစ်ရပ်ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

On January 8, 2025, an airstrike by the terrorist military council (SAC) using jet fighters intentionally targeted and bombed three residential neighborhoods. This resulted in severe fires that consumed homes, leaving many elderly individuals and children dead in the blaze. A total of 398 houses were destroyed by fire.

The terrorist military council (SAC), without any active battle occurring, deliberately targeted and attacked innocent civilians who were living peacefully. Their bombing campaign intentionally included schools, hospitals, clinics, religious structures, markets, residential areas, and bridges, which they bombed daily using aircraft.

According to the records currently maintained by HDCO, there have been at least 26 fatalities, 12 moderate to severe injuries, and no less than 15 minor injuries. Additionally, there are individuals still missing whose bodies have not been recovered.

Emergency Food Assistance
On January 8, 2025, the village of Kyaukni Maw in Ramree Township, Arakan, suffered significant losses of homes and belongings due to the SAC air force’s bombing campaign using jet fighters. To alleviate the hardships faced by the affected population, the ULA/AA provided emergency food assistance on January 14, 2025, to 379 households, including 732 males, 950 females, totaling 1,682 people.

ယင်းတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် မူဆလင်ပြည်သူအများစုနေထိုင်ရာ တောင်ပိုင်းရပ်ကွက်အပါအဝင် မြောက်ပိုင်းရပ်ကွက်နှင့် အလယ်ပိုင်းရပ်ကွက်တို့မှ ပြည်သူ (၂၈) ဦး သေဆုံးပြီး၊ (၁၂) ဦး ဒဏ်ရာအပြင်းအထန်ရရှိခဲ့သည့်အပြင် ရုပ်အလောင်းပင် ရှာမတွေ့သော ပြည်သူ (၁၁) ဦးထိ ရှိခဲ့ပါသည်။ လူနေအိမ် စုစုပေါင်း ၃၉၈ ဆောင်ခန့်မှာလည်းမီးလောင် ပျက်စီးခဲ့ရပါသည်။

Provision of Food Assistance to Civilians Facing Hardships Due to the Military Council Air Force’s Bombing of Kyauk Ni Maw Village

On January 8, 2025, the Military Council's Air Force conducted a jet fighter bombing on Kyauk Ni Maw Village in Ramree Township, Rakhine State. The attack destroyed homes and personal belongings by fire, causing tremendous hardships for the affected civilians. In response, the ULA/AA provided one week's supply of emergency rice to 379 households, totaling 1,682 people (732 men and 950 women), on January 14, 2025.

Additionally, efforts have been made to address other urgent needs, including providing medical treatment for the injured.

Due to the attack, 28 civilians, mostly from the Muslim-majority southern neighborhood as well as from the northern and central parts of the village, lost their lives. Twelve others were severely injured, and 11 civilians remain missing. Furthermore, approximately 398 houses were destroyed by fire.

The ULA/AA will continue coordinating with humanitarian and relief organizations to provide ongoing assistance to the affected civilians.

In early January 2025, among the various healthcare activities carried out by the Central Health Department of the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government were:

(1) Providing healthcare services to Muslim residents in the A Nauk Yae IDP camp.

Provision of Essential Food and Shelter for Repatriated Villagers in Kyauk Taw Township

In Kyauk Taw Township, Arakan State, essential food and shelter assistance was provided to a village facing the most severe shortages among the repatriated communities.

Approximately 60 households, consisting of around 350 people, benefited from this support. The local administrative authorities and HDCO representatives of the Arakan Revolutionary Government, facilitated the delivery of 60 bags of rice and financial aid amounting to MMK 240,000 per household to support shelter needs on 04.01.2025.

The village is located near areas that were long occupied by Myanmar military council troops. Consequently, the surrounding forests and hills remain littered with landmines and unexploded military ordnance. This has posed significant dangers to the local residents, who rely on the natural environment for their livelihoods, forcing them to struggle amidst considerable risks.

Additionally, the village faces poor transportation infrastructure, with roads that are difficult to traverse, making it challenging to access the nearest town. This remoteness exacerbates difficulties in addressing urgent medical needs, presenting numerous obstacles for the community.

To continue supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable families in Rakhine State who lack basic necessities, collaborative efforts will be made with humanitarian organizations and civil society groups.

Furthermore, individuals and organizations are invited to contribute and participate in easing the daily hardships of the people of Arakan, helping to alleviate their struggles and improve their living conditions.

Food Assistance for Arakan Civilians at the A Nauk Yae IDP Camp in Pauktaw Township

On January 4, 2025, local authorities from the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government provided food assistance to residents of the A Nauk Yae IDP Camp in Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State.

The assistance targeted 140 households identified as having the most urgent need for food among the camp residents, who have been displaced since 2012. Initial support was provided to these prioritized households.

Furthermore, regular provision of food assistance and basic healthcare services would greatly benefit the members of these families.

To address these needs, ongoing efforts are being made in coordination with humanitarian organizations and individuals to strive for the sustainable assistance.

ထိုစစ်ရှောင် အာရက္ခပြည်သူပြည်သားများမှာ ရုပ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ပျက်စီးဆုံးရှုံးမှုများအပြင် စိတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ထိခိုက်မှုများ ရင်ဆိုင်ကြုံတွေ့လျက် ရှိကြပါသည်။  ထိုသို့ ရုပ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာနှင့် စိတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ထိခိုက်နစ်နာလျက်ရှိသော စစ်ရှောင်ပြည်သူများကို  ULA/HDCO မှ စိတ်ကျန်းမာရေးနှင့် စိတ်လူမှုဆက်ဆံရေးဆိုင်ရာ ပံ့ပိုးမှု ( Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) အစီအမံများကို အရပ်ဖက်လူမှုအဖွဲ့အစည်းများနှင့် လက်တွဲ၍ ပြည်သူ့ဝန်ဆောင်မှု လုပ်ငန်းများအဖြစ် လူမျိုးဘာသာမရွေး တပြေးညီ ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးလျက် ရှိပါသည်။

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support During Conflict in Arakan (MHPSS)

Since November 13, 2023, Rakhine State has experienced ongoing fighting between the Arakan Army and the Myanmar Military Council, resulting in over 600,000 individuals being displaced. These individuals are confronting significant physical and psychological challenges due to the ongoing strife.

To address these challenges, the United League of Arakan (ULA)/Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO) has partnered with local civil society organizations to deliver Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). This initiative aims to provide mental health support to the affected populations, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.

From January 15 to October 3, 2024, ULA/HDCO successfully conducted a series of psychological support and counseling sessions, benefiting a total of 3,375 individuals from 46 villages across the townships of Ponnagyun, Kyauktaw, Rathedaung, and Maungdaw. These sessions included 966 males and 2,379 females, all of whom received crucial psychological care during this period. These efforts are part of an ongoing commitment to the mental well-being of the people of Arakan.

Moreover, there is an ongoing need for relevant organizations and informed individuals to foster opportunities that promote mental health awareness and practical application of mental health principles among the community. This involves the development and implementation of mental health awareness programs and safety measures designed to bolster the psychological resilience of the Arakan population in their everyday lives.

Due to the deluge on the 13th and 14th of September 2024, 284 houses were damaged in 14 villages in the Phonthachaung region of the Mingulam Village Tract, Minbya Township. On 19th and 20th on September 2024, Arakan Army soldiers, local administrative officials, members of the Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO), and the Chin Affairs Committee provided rice for one week to each flood-affected household.

Emergency Appeal for Essential Medicines for Displaced Persons in Maungdaw Town and Surrounding Areas

The Arakan Army, while engaged in the battle for Maungdaw town, is also actively facilitating the evacuation of local residents trapped in Maungdaw and the surrounding areas to safer locations away from the conflict. Currently, nearly 20,000 displaced persons have been evacuated, and these operations are continuing.

The rainy season has led to increased occurrences of dysentery and diarrhea in some areas. Additionally, previous flooding in the Arakan region has resulted in contamination of drinking water, contributing to a higher rate of these waterborne diseases. In recent days, the incidence of dysentery and diarrhea has risen, with up to five reported fatalities.

The Arakan People’s Revolutionary Government is providing medical care to the people of Arakan using the medicines available, regardless of ethnicity or religion. However, the simultaneous impact of conflict and flooding in the region has created significant medical supply needs. There is an urgent requirement for medicines related to dysentery and diarrhea, as well as essential medicines for general illnesses among the displaced persons from Maungdaw.

Therefore, the Arakan Department Of Health, on behalf of those in need, urgently requests assistance from neighboring countries, international organizations, civil society groups, and humanitarian aid organizations to provide the essential medicines needed for these patients.
