Some recommendations:

- Perform Ghusl
- Wear the best of clothes you own
- Use your best perfume

Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr رحمه الله said: “The strongest opinion is that it is on an odd night in the last ten nights and that it constantly changes…..”.  He continues to say : “…  in the view of the majority is that the most likely (night) is the twenty-seventh night… (Fathul-Baaree 4/267).

Ramadan🩶

Assalamu Alaikum warahmtuAllah wabraktuh,

Dear brothers and sisters, praise be to Allah. The month of Ramadan has come upon us, and the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind and clear evidence of guidance and criterion. So, let us make the most of our time during this noble month and strive to perform acts of worship to the best of our abilities. Let us take advantage of this great month through prayers, recitation of the Quran, and deeds that bring us closer to Allah. Let us seek forgiveness, repentance, and return to Allah. It is not hidden from any of you the importance of this great month and that it is the best time to return to Allah, as it is filled with mercy and opportunities to draw closer to Him.

In conclusion, O Allah, allow us to witness this month in safety, faith, well-being, and Islam, and assist us in performing prayers, fasting, and reciting the Quran. O Allah, preserve us for Ramadan and let it arrive for us, and accept it from us. O Lord of the worlds.

Since reciting the Quran is the most rewardful act of worship in the month of Ramadan other than what’s obliged for us to do (fasting and 5 prayers), here are some beneficial narrations signifying the virtues of reciting the quran. And now imagine reciting it in the month of ramadan where our actions are multiplied, I hope reading this would motivate you to read more and keep your heart and limbs more determined.

The verbal recitation. That is the literal recitation. There are many textual proofs which mention the virtue of reciting the entire Qur’an, or some specific chapters, or (single) verses from it.

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others”
[Collected by Al-Bukhari]

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The one who skillfully recites the Qur'an will be with the Ambassador Angels, the honorable, and the obedient. While the one who recites the Qur'an with difficulty will have two rewards.”
[Collected by Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

He receives double reward: one for his recitation and the second for his struggle to recite.

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The example of the believer who recites the Qur'an is like a citron, its smell is good and its taste is good. The example o f a believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like a dry date, it has no smell but its taste is good. The example o f the hypocrite who recites the Qur'an is like a scent fruit, the smell is good but the taste is bad. And the hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an is like colocynth, it has no smell and it tastes bitter.”

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Read the Qur'an, for verily it will intercede for its reciters on the Day of Standing.” [Collected by Muslim]

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Would one of you go to the Masjid and learn a verse or two from the Book of Allah or recite them? This will be better for him than possessing two camels. And reciting three verses is better than having three camels. And reciting four verses is better for him than having four camels and your reward is based on the number of verses that you recited.”

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No people will gather in one of the houses of Allah , reciting the Book of Allah, studying it amongst themselves, except that tranquility will descend upon them, they will be overwhelmed with mercy, encircled by the Angels, and Allah will mention them to those who are with Him”

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Read the Qur’an constantly, for verily I swear by Him in whose Hand is my soul, it is slipperier than the camel from its loop.” [Collected by Al-Bukhari]

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, will have a reward for that and the reward will be multiplied ten times. I am not saying (alif lam mim) is a letter, rather alif is a letter, lam is a letter, and mim is a letter.”

Ibn Ishaq said: “Some of the people of knowledge informed me that Is it said: “The most beloved of all nations in the sight of Allâh is the nation of Muhammad “
He was asked: “What is their merit which you are talking about?”
He said: “La ilaha illalah was not subdued on the tongues of any nation as it was on their tongues.”

LaTaif Al Ma’aarif page 171

Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله stated:

As for the night of the middle [of Sha'bān], ahādīth and narrations have mentioned its virtues and merits, and it's narrated from some of the salaf that they used to pray during it. So, a person's prayer alone on that night may be preceded by the salaf, and he has an argument in it, so such a thing should not be denied.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎“Get used to privacy with your Lord (in obedience to Him),

‎because you will be alone with Him in the grave for a long time.”

📕 al fawaid

Surah Ghāfir verses 1-9 by Shiekh Jamal Sa’eed Abu Rayyan حفظه الله

A man was with Yaḥya bin Muadh رحمه الله and recited in his presence the ayaah: "And speak to him (Firawn) with gentle speech." [Surah Ṭaḥa, 44]

Yaḥya began to weep. He then said.

“My Lord, if this is Your mercy and gentleness with the one who says, ‘I am your God’ (i.e Fir'awn claimed lordship for himself), then how will it be with the one who says that You are God?

[تفسير البغوي ٢٧/١]

Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani رحمه الله said:

"Every single person that makes Dua will be responded to, but the actual responses are different. Sometimes the exact matter that was prayed for is given, and sometimes, something equivalent to it is given.”

[فتح البارئ ١١/٩٥]

Speaking of du’a. One of the admins has a major exam tomorrow. May Allah ﷻ grant him success. Please keep him in your ad’iyah❤️

In one of his lessons, shaykh Abd al-Razzaq al-Badr حفظه الله said:

[انت ان قلت ان تجعل القرآن ربيع قلبي ، افتح المصحف واقراه وتدبر وتامل في كلام الله ، واجعل للقرآن حظ من وقتك حتى يكون ربيعا لقلبك. لن يكون القرآن ربيعا لقلب المرء وهو في الرف او يوضع كما في بعض البيوت للزينة . ]

If you ask for the Qur’an to be the spring of your heart, then open up the mushaf and read it. Contemplate and ponder over Allah’s Speech. Make time for the Qur’an in your schedule.

Do that until it becomes the spring of your heart. The Qur’an will never be the spring of someone’s heart while it just sits on a shelf or is used as a decoration as you find in some houses.

Hasan al-Basri:

If you had seen the Sahabah, you would’ve said: They’re crazy!

If the Sahabah had seen you, they’d say: They’re not Muslims!
