Are you a student or staff member of the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT) or EiTEX (Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology)? Do you have an innovative idea that could help solve local problems?
Now is your chance to shine!
Apply for the HEP-SSA Engineering Tech Hackathon (Higher Education Partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa) funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and partnered with Agelgil Eco Packaging and other prestigious international collaborators. We are looking for creative and impactful ideas in the following areas:
• Animal Feed Production
• Industrial Software
• Binder Materials
• Recycling Industrial Waste
• Textile Technologies
Why Apply?
Innovations in any of the above fields are highly appreciated but not Limited to this , and the best ideas will be rewarded with prizes. Winners will represent Ethiopia in the international competition showcasing the best problem-solving technologies!

Message on Ethiopian New Year!

On behalf of South Sudan Students' Union in Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia (SSSU-BDUE) and on my own behalf, I take this golden moment to happily wish you all; Bahir Dar University fraternity (Staff and students) and the Citizens of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, most Happiest and Prosperous Ethiopian New Year 2017


As Psalms 65:11 reads; "Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness". Indeed, it's been the LORD driving us throughout the year 2016 crowned with His goodness. We are therefore, very grateful to God for another new beginning.

On the same note, the office of South Sudan Students' Union in Bahir Dar University gladly wishes the entire staff of BDUE and the student body the very best in all their endeavors in 2017 and beyond. May we continue to walk this path together under the theme: "Oneness in Diversity"
