I think Better Auth has a good potential for LLM integration, kinda similar to what shadcn did for UI. Instead of generating complex auth systems that require manual review and probably can be buggy, It can simply add a plugin to implement any of those features. Like 2fa, teams, access control or whatever.

This is the most entitled, racist nonsense I've heard from tech people on twitter. The guy made a couple of grifting open AI wrappers with 0 additional real value using jQuery and PHP and acts like he started the AI revolution. I don't know what important thing he has done in his life but for some reason Lex Friedman invited him on his podcast, now he thinks he is Elon or something. Even if you listen to his podcast with Lex, it’s nothing but shallow. You can tell he doesn’t even understand the topic he's supposed to be an "expert" in.
Now, he has opinion on what countries should do. You don't block someone from opportunities cause of where they come from. That's the definition of racism. You improve how you evaluate an individual. I'm in one of those supposedly should be blocked countries, and I'm 110% sure I'm a lottt more skilled than him.

here is an "easy" way to make your career going really well:
make an Arc clone. I know Zen exists, but it doesn’t use chromium. You can build one using Chromium, target developers with great UX (basically copy most of Arc). Then, post about it on Twitter and Hacker News. Even if the browser doesn’t end up being a massive success, you’re guaranteed to get something out of it (at least a high paying job).
It might take you some time, maybe even a year but who cares?
If you can find someone to collaborate with do that. If not, just do it yourself and create a great browser. You could even call it “better browser” 👀 you have my blessing

I don't think focusing on making AI as "intelligent" as humans is even a desirable goal in many ways. We don’t even fully understand what human intelligence is. It’s a complex mix of reasoning, emotions, creativity, intuition... things we struggle to define, let alone replicate. Instead of chasing the idea of imitating human intelligence, we should focus on using these models to enhance our own intelligence.
computers are already far more intelligent than humans will ever be at certain tasks. They can do math, store vast amounts of data, and understand patterns better than humans ever could. It doesn't make sense to strive to make something smarter than me when there are already many systems that are more intelligent in specific areas. We should instead focus on complementing human decision-making rather than replacing it. Intelligence isn’t individual. it’s something collaborative. We need these models to foster collaboration and build tools that amplify our potential, not replace us.

there should be a new react framework that's RSC first, It should feel close to the current next.js implementations (this is very important) but it should fix the stuff people usually complain about. And should probably add a couple of eye catching new primitives. And, with solid, well-written docs, I’m pretty sure it’d have a 90% chance of success (like real success) and it could well be made by one person who is motivated enough.

a monoalphabetic cipher is basically swapping each letter with another one. for example, you decide that every a becomes x, every b becomes y...and frequency analysis is a how you crack this cipher by analyzing how often certain letters appear in the encrypted message. Since some letters, like e, are naturally more common in english text, the letter that shows up the most in the cipher is likely to be e. So it's very easy to discipher but for over 1000 years this stayed as a secure way to communicate like to exchange war related secrets between kings and stuff.

If NextAuth have done anything about it or If the goal had simply been to create another auth library, I wouldn’t have invested so much time and effort without even being sure anyone would care in the end. The project’s entire purpose is to show that you don’t need managed auth services to achieve whatever functionalities they are telling you is impossible to have on open source library.

I would have preferred it to be more framework-agnostic, but I understand the challenge in pivoting since it started as a Next.js only solution. The Next Auth creator sent me a DM last night asking why I didn’t contribute to Auth.js instead. It reminded me of when tech Twitter was all about why the Bun creator didn’t contribute back to Node instead.
But beyond all the other reasons, I'm just not sure how someone could expect a random developer to show up and contribute changes that would require overhauling the fundamental workings of an entire library and massively increase its scope.
First, I don't have the credibility to propose those kinds of changes and have them accepted. And even to be considered, I’d have to go above and beyond to rewrite everything and implement each piece into Next Auth myself first. How would I find the motivation to do all that, with no guarantee it would even be accepted?
