A Supplication In Prayer That Amazed The Prophet ﷺ

From Ibn ‘Umar Raḍi-Allāhu 'Anhumā who said: Whilst we were praying with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ a man from amongst people recited;

Allaahu Akbaru Kabeeran Wal Ḥamdulillaahi Katheeran Wa SubḥaanAllaahi Bukratan Wa Aṣeelaa,

(Allāh is Great, the Greatest, and praise belongs to Allāh in abundance, and glorified be Allāh at the beginning and end of the day),

So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ asked (after prayer): “Who said such and such?!!”

The man replied: “I did O Messenger of Allāh.”

So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “I was amazed by it, for it opened the gates of heaven.”

Ibn 'Umar Raḍi-Allāhu 'Anhumā said: “I have not abandoned them (i.e these words) since I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying that.”

Note: Sh. al-Albānī Raḥimahullāh mentioned in his book (صفة صلاة النبي) that this Dhikr is from one of the supplications with which the prayer is opened (after the first Takbeer).

You can be a kind and caring person who respects people’s needs and still set healthy boundaries for your own well-being. Learn when to walk away and when to work things out. You can’t control how people treat you but you can control what you tolerate.

Sisters dont seek a husband who can lift heavy weights

Look for the one strong enough to lift his blanket & leave his bed at Fajr time

Because if he remembers his duty to Allah

He will always remember his duty towards his wife in shaa Allah

May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎  grant our sisters pious husbands Aameen

While you’re lost in worry, thinking of all the things that could go wrong, Allah is already handling your problems in ways you cannot see. He knows what you need and when you need it, even before you ask. Trust in Him, for while you’re anxious, He’s arranging solutions, easing paths, and preparing peace for your heart.

Don’t be afraid of poverty when it comes to marriage!

In case they are poor, Allaah will enrich them of His Grace…

al-Qurtubi: Do not refrain from getting married because the man or the woman is poor.

If they are poor, Allaah will make them independent of means by His bounty.
This is a promise of independence of means to those who get married, seeking the pleasure of Allaah and seeking to protect themselves from sin.

How to Assess the State of Your Heart - Imām Ibn al-Qayyim

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim said, “Seek out your heart in three places:

[1] When listening to the Qur’ān,
[2] in the gatherings of [Allāh’s] remembrance [circles of knowledge], and
[3] when [alone] in privacy,

If you do not find it in these places, then ask Allāh to grant you a heart – for verily, you do not have one.”

See Al-Fawā’id [p. 479]

Action plan:

- Read the Qur’ān for at least 20 minutes daily.
- Attend at least one Islamic class per week.
- Engage in the remembrance of Allāh in private.
- Read the following supplications:

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

“O Turner of the hearts, affirm my heart upon Your religion.”

“O Allāh rectify my heart and my action”

“O Allāh, purify my heart from every evil.”

Supplication is one of the most beneficial forms of medicine. It is enemy to affliction. It repels and cures it. It prevents it from occurring and lightens it if it does occur.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is stay quiet. There’s so much to say. There’s a lot going on in your mind. Your heart feels heavy. You’re confused. But sometimes it’s better to remain silent. Take some time for yourself and breathe. Don’t let the chaos of this world disturb your inner peace. Because nothing lasts forever except your good and bad deeds. And sometimes, when you’ve said all you can, it’s better to be silent and let the answers come to you.

The Status of Dutifulness to the Mother [Tawbah]🩵

Ata ibn Yasar reports:
A man once came to Ibn Abbas and said, "I proposed to a woman and she refused to marry me, then someone else proposed to her and she wanted to marry him; so l became jealous and killed her. Can I repent from this?" [Ibn Abbas] asked, "Is your mother alive?" He replied, "No." So he said, "Repent (tawbah) to Allah the mighty and majestic, and worship him as much as you can."

Ata said, "So I went and asked Ibn Abbas, 'Why did you ask him if his mother was alive?' He replied, 'I do not know of any action that brings one closer to Allah than dutifulness to the mother.”

If you see envy (or any ill-intentioned actions) from the people towards you, say:

حَسْبي اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيل
Hasbi Allahu wa Ni’mal Wakeel

‘Allah (alone) is Sufficient for Me, and He is the Best Disposer of Affairs’

— Allah shall suffice you against their evil and ill will.

Growing up as a young Muslim nowadays, you just have to be real. Sometimes you really have to sit and ask yourself if your faith is your top priority. if it’s not, then something has gotta change. Because when pleasing your creator is your top priority, then everything else falls right into place.

Pursue A Righteous Spouse

Shaykh ‘Abd Al-‘Azīz Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said:

“Therefore, pursue the righteous women. Likewise, young ladies and their guardians should pursue righteous men. They should not be married off to just anyone, such as those who abandon the prayers, consume drugs and intoxicants, or harm their wives and do not benefit them. It is befitting for the women and their guardians that their primary concern should not be that he (the suitor) is so-and-so, that he has a lucrative occupation, that he is a merchant, or that he doesn’t have a wife. This is not the scale. The scale is that a righteous man should be chosen, so that even if he is poor, Allāh will enrich him from His bounty.”

My brother live within yourself. I have found safety in living within myself. In understanding who I am. In understanding my goals, objectives and life purposes. In understanding the intricacies of my shortcomings and deficiencies. In understanding the very limits of my understanding and the boundaries of my thought.

I only allow external noises to enter within if it's true and of benefit. If not then it does not affect me in the least.

Throughout my life I've had two distinct camps of people that I have come across. Those who would overly praise me and those who dispraise me and search for whatever they could to justify their dispraisal. But for both camps there's nothing of their words that I have allowed to affect me. Call me what you will, I am who I am and it will not affected by your words. Imagine if I did not live within myself and was like a leaf that blowed with the winds of every word said against me. Would I truly be who I am?

Women get married to find a special best friend.

They want someone who will share their secrets, laugh and joke with them, love them, cherish them, adore them, be romantic with them, and make them feel beautiful.

They want someone who will be attracted to them emotionally and physically.

A woman wants a partner who will strive together with her through this life; laughing and rejoicing through the good times, and sticking by each other and supporting each other through the bad times.

She wants a man strong in his deen who can stand up and take the responsibility of the household, and help raise the children in accordance with Islam.

A woman wants her husband to be her friend, companion, and soul mate.

May Allah ﷲﷻ bless us with pious spouses who will be the coolness of our eyes Ameen.

Blessed is he who occupies himself with his shortcomings rather than the shortcomings of the people.

And destroyed is he who is forgetful of his shortcomings and devotes himself with the shortcomings of the people. This is from the signs of those who are miserable.
