FRIDAY يوم الجمعة

The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:

Send prayer upon me abundantly on the day of Jumu’ah [Friday] and on the night of Jumu’ah [Thursday night] as for he who sends one salutation upon me once, Allāh sends salutations upon him ten times.

Saheeh al-Jāmi’ 1209 | Shaykh al-Albāni رحمه الله | Saheeh

••••••••••••••••••••

The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:

“Whoever performs ghusl on Friday, and sets out early, and comes close to the Imām, listens and remains silent, for every step he embarks he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyām for one year .

Saheeh Sunan at-Tirmidhi, 496 Shaykh al-Albāni رحمه الله | Saheeh

It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error. (Al-Qur'an 33:36)

If you can manage to remain unknown, then do so.
What does it matter to you if no one praises you?
What does it matter to you if you are [considered] lowly and worthless amongst the people,
if you are [considered] praiseworthy by Allaah?

💌 𝕊𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖𝕤, 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖 𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕥𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕥 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕨𝕖 𝕔𝕒𝕟'𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕝𝕖 𝕚𝕥.

But remember, whatever you're facing, it's better than what some others go through. And you don't have to face it alone. You will be sad because you are a human and it’s natural that we have feelings. It’s what makes us humans. Calamities and disasters are a test, and they are a sign of Allah’s love for a person, because they are like medicine: even though it is bitter, despite its bitterness you give it to the one whom you love – and for Allah is the highest description.

“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.”

📚 Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2396) and Ibn Maajah (4031); classed as hasan by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

Al-Fadl ibn Sahl said: “There is a blessing in calamity that the wise man should not ignore, for it erases sins, gives one the opportunity to attain the reward for patience, dispels negligence, reminds one of blessings at the time of health, calls one to repent and encourages one to give charity.
Through calamity the believer seeks reward, and there is no way to attain it but through patience, and there is no way to be patient except with resolute faith and strong will.”

🌹 Remember the words of our Messenger ﷺ:
“How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.”

📚 [Narrated by Muslim, 2999]

🌹𝗠𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗯🌹

It took me 6 years to finally wear hijab. Culturally, not wearing one was acceptable and none of the women in my family wore one so I never had an example set for me from when I was younger.

I only became interested in hijab when I attended uni, funnily enough. I befriended practising sisters in my class and started to attend the ISOC where I became aware of more sisters from my background that seemed happy and comfortable to cover. This was inspiring to me and the more they told me about Islam and showed me kindness; the more I wanted to wear hijab.

Getting the confidence to wear one took so long because I was so insecure about my looks and thought I was so ugly without my hair showing. I know now this was a big lie from shaytaan.

I went from wearing a dangling pashmina on my head; to doing head wraps and turbans. I even wore hoodies just to get comfortable with having my head covered. You name it; i tried it. I know I looked ridiculous but it was my way of coming closer to Allaah and gaining more confidence with covering my hair.

In 2023 I went to Umrah for the first time and it was there I begged Allaah to make wearing the hijab easy for me. I left uni and vowed to commit to my prayers and no lie,  thats when doors started to open up for me.

On my return from umrah I was finally able to wear a head scarf which over time (about 4-5 months) turned into a khimaar and now I fully cover in niqab and gloves alhamdulillah.

There was a time I doubted myself and never thought I would get to where I am now in my imaan or wearing my hijab but by Allaah I made it.

I'd like to let any sister struggling to cover to know, your'e not alone. The journey can be long and rough but with lots of dua and sacrifice Allaah will make it easy.

To anyone looking down or doubting sisters who aren't properly covered. Make excuses for them. You don't know their struggle or how they are trying to get closer to Allaah. If anything make dua for them and show them kindness. You will be part of their journey towards righteousness.

We all have to start somewhere and the beauty is, even if your steps are small, they are big in the sight of Allaah.

Keep on your journey to hijab. Don't care about how you look or what people will say. If you're sincere Allaah will make a way and it will get easier.

الله المستعان!!

How 'normal' is the bridal stage today?
How 'normal' is it for the fully adorned & excessively dolled up bride to sit on this stage while non mahram men look at her?
How 'normal' is it for non mahram men to video & photograph her in front of her dayoouth husband & mahram men?
How normal is it for these pictures & videos to be uploaded online & her beauty is seen by countless men?

Where is the Haya of women?
Where is the Ghayrah of men?
Where is the Hijaab?
Where is the Taqwa?
Where is the following of the Sunnah?

لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العلي العظيم!

A year is about to end and a year is about to begin, so reflect over your past year and all its events.

What is left of it?

Everything in it has passed and ended, and nothing remains of it except what you have prepared for your Hereafter, whether good or evil, so build [a base] for your coming year with the goodness of what has remained [of this year] and prepare yourself with what you need of permissible provisions.

If you struggle with leaving h‌arām, read the following dūʿā:

اللّهُـمَّ اكْفِـني بِحَلالِـكَ عَنْ حَـرامِـكَ

Allāhummakfinī biḥalālika ‘an ḥarāmika,

O Allāh, suffice me with what You have made h‌alāl over what You have made h‌arām,

وَأَغْنِـني بِفَضْـلِكِ عَمَّـنْ سِـواكَ

wa aghninī bi faḍlika `amman siwak

and make me independent of all others besides You.
