We do not fight to defend ourselves; we fight to defend this Deen. When those hypocrites insult us, we should not care. However, once they speak about the Deen without knowledge, refute them with knowledge, so the people know the truth. Allah's rights are what we put at the forefront.

Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) was given an option between two things, he would select the easier of the two as long as it was not sinful; but if it was sinful, he would remain far from it. By Allah, he never took revenge for himself concerning any matter that was presented to him, but when Allah's Limits were transgressed, he would take revenge for Allah's Sake.

One Hadith to always keep at the front of your mind as you continue on this path is the following Hadith from Al-Bukhari and Muslim:

Muhammad James Sutton

05 Dec, 14:17

We always have to choose our battles. We cannot get emotional about every issue that comes up. Whenever issues come up, we must always look at the effects being silent will have on the Muslims against speaking up. Fools fight to win battles, but wise men fight to win wars. We always have to look at the bigger picture. The hypocrites are myopic. They want the money today and the status today. We spark something today that our children will carry on tomorrow insha'Allah.

Muhammad James Sutton

05 Dec, 14:13

One of the strongest personal traits a Muslim can have nowadays is the ability to brush off insults and slander and keep progressing. Your ability to keep working while people are standing against you bothers those hypocrites the most. They are the ones who are concerned with the people. When the tables turn, and we start telling the truth about them after they slandered us, we watch them cry like hungry babies on social media. They can dish it out, but they are too feminine to take it.

اللهم أرنا فيهم عجائب قدرتك يا الجبار يا القهار يا العزيز يا المتكبر

Muhammad James Sutton

May Allah make His removal of these obstructions a sign and a deterrent for all the criminals who want to play with this Deen in the future!

Muhammad James Sutton

03 Dec, 14:22

When the Deen begins to spread, and these hypocrites cannot stop the youth from wanting to learn their Deen, they turn to the kuffaar for assistance. This is the reality we live every day with these charlatans who run these Masjids around America. Their hatred for the Deen, their hatred for the Sunnah, their love for criminals, and their love for kufr have all caused the blocking of any progress in the West. May Allah remove all of these obstructions from the path of our brothers and sisters learning the Sunnah, implementing the Sunnah and calling to the Sunnah!

Muhammad James Sutton

03 Dec, 14:18

These youth who are now learning the Sunnah are now called "extremists" and "wahhabis". They are deemed a danger to the other youth who are being raised up on hypocritical liberal ideology these charlatans claim is Islam. The other youth are warned against sitting with these extreme youth who take their Deen "too seriously".

Muhammad James Sutton

03 Dec, 14:16

In every city in America, we have these liberal Islamic Centers which have all their programs and activities they use to waste people's time with the claim that these activities bring the people to the Masjid. These centers completely ignore the young brothers who want to learn the Deen and implement the Deen. When another Masjid places its focus on knowledge and implementation of that knowledge to give these ignored youth a place to call their own, every one of these liberal hypocrites tries to do everything in their power to destroy it.

Allah said in the Quran:

24 Nov, 04:01

As Muslims, we all strive to purify our hearts from any of the traits of Jahiliyyah. Gangs are a trait of Jahiliyyah. Loyalty to any gang, party, group, etc. other than the group of Believers is Jahiliyyah, and we need to rid our hearts of that loyalty.

Muhammad James Sutton

24 Nov, 04:01

In this Hadith, the Prophet ﷺ clearly tells us there are people whose belief is only with the tongue. Within their hearts they continue to have love for disbelief, love for sin, and loyalty to other than Allah and His Messenger. This is the heart of a hypocrite, not the heart of a true Believer.

Muhammad James Sutton

24 Nov, 04:00

Abu Barzah Al-Aslami (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: : O people, who have believed by their tongue, and belief did not enter their hearts, do not back-bite Muslims, and do not search for their faults, for if anyone searches for their faults, Allah will search for his fault, and if Allah searches for the faults of anyone, He disgraces him in his house.

If the truth has really penetrated a person’s heart, it would cause the falsehood which lies within to vacate. Falsehood can never stand against the truth. If a person holds on to falsehood in his heart, this means that the truth has not reached his heart. The Prophet ﷺ referred to these people as those who believe with their tongues, but Eman has not reached their hearts. We can see this in the following Hadith narrated in Sunan Abi Dawud:

And declare, “The truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish.”

We have taken the understanding of leadership from our enemies also, and that is why you see the corruption in all our Masjids around America. This is why you notice scandal after scandal. The average Masjid now is more for backbiting and power politics than it is for the worship of Allah. People are not even taught in the vast majority of Masjids how to worship Allah, but they are taught how to backbite. The toxic environment of our Masjids today reveals the need for us to start our own Masjids far removed from the chaos that exists among the people. The People of the Sunnah must get together, and work on giving the people a place they can learn and practice their Deen without the politics, backbiting, treachery, backstabbing, etc. that goes in almost every Masjid around America.

In reality, females lead through emotion. Real men lead through influence. Real men lead through example. If we call the people to the Quran and the Sunnah we have to be the first to do it. For us to be good leaders, we have to first be good followers. If we failed miserably at the following part, what do you think will happen when we progress to the leadership part? The question answers itself.

The West has truly duped the vast majority of males in regards to masculinity. They have set the definition of what masculinity is and limited it to two or three things, so the people focus on those two or three things and neglect everything else which should be included in the definition. They have, through music and movies, made males in the West feel that masculinity involves being aggressive because by being aggressive, a male can show how strong and dominant he is. While he focuses on being aggressive, he neglects honesty, accountability, responsibility, discipline, self-control, self-restraint, and all the other REAL qualities that are a part of real masculinity. By focusing on aggression, the male becomes an emotional wreck of a human being. Every time he gets emotional, he wants to yell and fight. The male then makes a fool of himself in front of the people because he allowed his enemy to define what being a man truly is. Enjoy the results you face in your life if you choose the speech of your enemy over the Speech of Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ).

The majority of people today busy themselves with drama and problems which only exist in their minds. Because of their sins, Allah has left these individuals to themselves and shaytan. Once shaytan gets a foothold in your mind, he will make you think up is down and down is up.

If We had willed, We would have elevated him with Our signs, but he clung to this life—following his evil desires. His example is that of a dog: if you chase it away, it pants, and if you leave it, it pants. This is the example of the people who deny Our signs. So narrate to them stories of the past, so perhaps they will reflect.

You cannot expect noble and dignified actions from people that do not possesses a noble and dignified character. True nobility and true dignity and true honor come through following the Quran and the Sunnah. The people that chase after the dunya are the people Allah spoke of in the following Ayah:

Being in the company of good righteous people will always bring out the best qualities in you because righteous people make you comfortable being righteous and upright. Fools and sinful people will always bring out the worst qualities in you the more you sit with them. That is because they make you feel ashamed to be truthful, righteous and upright. May Allah place us in the company of the righteous and protect us from every being in the company of the wicked criminals!

Allah has promised those of you who believe and do righteous actions that He will certainly make them successors in the land, as He did with those before them; and will surely establish for them their faith which He has chosen for them; and will indeed change their fear into security—provided that they worship Me, associating nothing with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this promise, it is they who have become disobedient.

I swear by Allah, these so-called Muslim leaders around America treat kaafir rappers, actors and athletes better than they treat Students of Knowledge who made the ultimate sacrifice to learn the Deen to teach the people. The real selfless people are constantly spit on and trampled on by the selfish greedy people. Those tables will turn on the Day of Judgment if they don't turn in this life. Enjoy what is coming for you. May Allah raise up our brothers around America that gave up the comfort of home and family, the brothers that were patient through poverty, sickness and war. May Allah raise our brothers, the real Students of Knowledge in this country and around the world!

This is the guidance of our Messenger (ﷺ) for us to learn from our mistakes and not to repeat them. However, because we have strayed so far from the Sunnah, we continue to get stung from the same hole dozens of times. Every time we stick our hand in the hole, we think we are going to have a different outcome. Subhannallah!

Masjids throughout the East Coast and all around America are full of individuals that want to be where the money is at, and they want to maintain their title and position even though they have no qualifications to be in the position in the first place. We have suffered for so many decades with our Masjids. I have seen this scenario played out over and over again. The roadblocks set up to keep Muslims from truly being a force in this country were placed in our paths by people that we think are our brothers.

Who does more wrong than those who prevent Allah’s Name from being mentioned in His places of worship and strive to destroy them? Such people have no right to enter these places except with fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.

The leadership of the Masjids around America should be working to facilitate the worship of Allah, the obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and the following of the Quran and the Sunnah. If the people in power are not facilitating these practices, they will be held responsible for their oppression of the people on the Day of Judgment.

Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so violently shaken that even the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is near.

Students of Knowledge need to understand that when they return to America to teach the people, they are going to face more enemies than helpers. This is a fact each student has to program into his mind. Don't return to America and think that every smile is real. If you have real knowledge of the Quran and the Sunnah, you are a threat to the charlatans that have spent years cementing their positions which they did not deserve in the first place. The wishy-washy Imams are going to see you as a threat, and they will do whatever they can to turn the people against you. Be patient. Don't get caught up in the chaos, and just continue to teach the people the Quran and the Sunnah in their purest form. Our success is only from Allah. Our failure is from our sins, mistakes and ingratitude. May Allah keep us firm and steadfast on this path of knowledge!

A vast number of Muslims in the West do not even understand fully the statement that makes them a Muslim. We need to focus on making sure our brothers and sisters are getting the knowledge they need to possess the correct beliefs of a Muslim. This should be our goal.

Muhammad James Sutton

23 Oct, 22:20

If we get into issues of Qadr, we will find that a lot of Muslims do not have the correct beliefs. This is because they were not taught, so they carried whatever beliefs they had with them from their previous religion into Islam and kept those beliefs thinking they are from Islam.

Muhammad James Sutton

23 Oct, 22:19

We need to focus on making sure that new Muslims are getting the proper Islamic education they need. We have Muslims that have been Muslims for years, but they do not have the beliefs of a Muslim. We find this out when we teach classes or we end up in discussions with different individuals.

The meaning of the sweetness of Eman is finding pleasure in acts of obedience, the ability to bear difficulties while carrying out those acts of obedience, the prioritizing of obedience to Allah and His Messenger over all worldly goals and aspirations, and the love for Allah through His obedience and leaving off anything that opposes obedience to Allah. The same goes for the Messenger (ﷺ).

If somebody has the ability and time to translate the biography that Shaykh Muhammad Atittya Salem wrote at the beginning of the book it would be highly beneficial and motivational for the people. His life story reads like the biography of the Imams of the past.

I would advise whoever has the ability to sit down and read أضواء البيان by Imam Ash-Shinqeeti to do so. His introduction to the book is more beneficial than 95% of the books that are written today in the Deen. It is sad that Imams of that caliber are not being produced anymore.

Being that this is an issue that will cause a Muslimah to be cursed by Allah, it is definitely an issue we need to continue to warn our sisters against falling into. This Hadith is in Sahih Muslim. This Hadith shows the impermissibility of women wearing hair attachments, weaves or any other form of hair extensions. The Prophet (ﷺ) cursed the women who put the extensions in and the woman who sought them to be attached to her hair. This can be seen in the following Hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari:

'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf said that he heard Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan during the season of Hajj, (saying) as he sat upon the minbar holding a bunch of hair in his hand which was (previously) in the hand of one of his guards: O people of Medina, where are your scholars? I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbidding this and saying: That the people of Bani Isra'il were ruined at the time when their women wore such hair.

I sat with Shaykh Yahya for years and to this day I do not know what the top of his head looks like. Even when we ate at his house in Makkah, his head was covered.

I also would never take knowledge from a person who shaves his moustache, but that is a conversation for another day.

My own personal opinion that I have always followed is that I do not take knowledge from a person that does not cover his head. Allah knows best.

However, as time goes along, and those callers get more attached to the dunya, we start to notice they come out more often with their heads uncovered. Interesting. They say they follow the Ulema of the Sunnah, but you will never see the Ulema of the Sunnah outside of Hajj with their heads uncovered.

I always had the same feeling, but I was surprised to see somebody put it in writing. Then I began noticing something about the different callers to Islam in the West. When they first return to the West from seeking knowledge, everybody has their head covered in some fashion. The students that studied in Yemen will tie the imamah up in the Yemeni fashion, and the students that studied in Saudi will wear a freshly starched and ironed shemagh. At the very least, the person would wear a kufi on his head because that is more of an American Muslim fashion.

"It is not hidden information for a person with a sound mind that uncovering the head (for the Muslim man) is despicable, and it includes the abandonment of self-respect and the leaving off of proper manners. The uncovering of the head (for the Muslim man) occurs only during the rites of Hajj, and it is done as a form of worship for Allah and to show humility."

When I read Ibn Al-Jawzi's book Talbees Al-Iblees during the beginning of the war in Yemen, I was a bit surprised when he mentioned the following in his book:
