I say this again and again the student of knowledge should invest in buying books and building their own libraries. Books are the weapon of the student of knowledge if you have no weapon with what will you defend your self with. Scholars of the past will self their furniture in their home just to buy books. Buy books even if you dont need them now you will surely need it tomorrow

One thing I find really helpful as a student is to know how and when to take step back,

‎During the journey of seeking knowledge you will face road blocks, when you feel really stagnant and frustrated start all over and review everything you’ve done so far.

‎For example If your halfway through the Quran and you cant seem to pass that point then take a step back and start from the beginning, take some time to review everything you’ve learned up to that point and renew your intention.

‎Come back to your memorization once you’ve solidified what you’ve done before and have renewed your niyyah.

‎If your studying Aqeedah and feel frustrated at certain points and you lack understanding on certain things, then sit back, pick up a beginner text like Usool Thalatha and start from the beginning to strengthen the basics.

‎If your studying bayna yadayk and you feel like you’re not leaning anything and feel like you’re in a slump, then open book one and read everything you’ve learned so far all over again, memorize all the Vocab all over again and make sure you don’t miss a single word.

‎Knowledge is simply constant revision, you will always be learning the same exact things, the same material from the same sources, the only difference is the levels become more advanced as you progress.

‎Learn how to take a step back and regather your thought process, motivation, and intention. By restarting whenever its needed you are grounding yourself more and more every single time.

‎Don’t make it a habit to constantly restart though, because constantly running back to the starting line can be detrimental to a student in the long run, but don’t feel scared to take a step back if you feel frustrated or are stuck with something.

‎A lot of people don’t do this due to the fear of their peers surpassing them, but if thats the case then you misunderstood what knowledge is, it was never a competition in the first place, so focus on rectifying yourself and giving yourself the reset you need.

This Aqeeda Salafiyya

The Aqeeda of Imam Ahmad which he took from his teachers like Abdurrahman Ibn Mahdi, Yahya al-Qattan, Waki' ibn al-Jarrah, Shafi'i, Ibn Uyaynah etc

Who then took their Aqeeda from the likes of Amr ibn Dinar, Zuhri, Ayyub As-Sakhtiyani, A'mash etc

Who then took their Aqeeda from the likes of Anas Ibn Malik, Asma bint Abu Bakr, Usama ibn Zaid, Bara' ibn Azib etc

Who then took their Aqeeda from the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman Ali etc.

And the Prophet ﷺ took his belief from Jibril, and Jibril brought revelation from Allah

That is the Salafi Aqeeda and Manhaj

That is our belief, that we can trace its chain of transmission back to Allah عز وجل

The belief that was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ and passed down to us until this day.

None oppose it except that he's either a zindiq, mubtadi' or jahil.

Life doesn't always go the way we plan. We might face rejection after applying for a job, experience a sudden change in our plans, or see a close friendship drift apart. In those moments, it's easy to feel disappointed or even heartbroken. But have we ever thought that perhaps these setbacks are actually for our own good?

In the Qur'an, Allah reminds us,
*"But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you do not know."* (2:216)

This verse reassures us that Allah's wisdom is far greater than ours. What seems like a loss today could be a blessing in disguise. When a door closes on something we deeply desire, it's natural to feel sad. But let's not get stuck staring at that closed door. Instead, let's take a moment to look around.

Often, when Allah takes something away, He is preparing us for something better, something that we might not have even imagined. So, if you're feeling down about a missed opportunity or a lost chance, remember that Allah knows what's best for you. He might be protecting you from something harmful or guiding you towards something far greater. Trust that He has a plan, even if you can't see it right now. Take a deep breath, lift your eyes from that closed door, and trust that new ones are opening—ones that will lead you to something beautiful, something that's meant just for you.

Waking up lazy and disheartened? The Prophet ﷺ gives a reason why:

“When you sleep, Shaytān ties 3 knots on the back of your head

While tying each knot, he says: The night ahead of you is long, so sleep

But if you wake up and remember Allāh [in Dhikr], a knot is unravelled
And if you do Wudū’, a second knot is unravelled

And if you pray, all the knots would become unravelled

You would wake up energetic and of a kind spirit, otherwise you would wake up spiteful and lazy”

Fasting on Āshūrā' Even While Traveling

Muhammad ibn Shihab al-Zuhri was traveling and he still fasted on the day of Āshūrā.

So it was said to him: You fast on the day of Āshūrā' while traveling and you break your fast in Ramadhān?

So he replied: Ramadhān can be made up on other days. However, Āshūrā' will be missed. (He will not be able to make it up.)

The Sunnah is also a revelation from Allah!

It has indeed become one of the major fitan of today that people tend to take only from the Qur'aan & disregard the Sunnah while seeing it as righteousness. Or they take part of the Sunnah on the basis of speculation.

Shaikh Dr. Asim Al Qaryooti from the senior students of Shaykh nasirdeen albani رحمه الله تعالى refutes this entire concept of deviance and establishes the proof of the Sunnah and it's status.

The Trial Of Wanting Fame!

Ibn Kathir mentions in As-Siyar:

A man asked his friend: Did Al-Khateeb mention me in his Tarikh Baghdad from the trustworthy ones or from the liars?

So his friend responded: He didn’t even mention you in the first place

So he responded: If only he had mentioned me, even if I was mentioned from the Liars

How should one fear shirk?

1. By studying Tawheed
2. By knowing and understanding shirk so you don't fall into it
3. By making dua to Allah to save your from shirk

This is a beautiful book written by one of the brothers who was in dammaj Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Hizam حفظه الله, this book is a compilation of only Sahih Hadiths from the prophet صل الله عليه وسلم and Authentic statements of the Salaf regrading all the main matters of Tawheed and Aqeedah

‎The Author goes over the different chapters of Tawheed and Aqeedah in this book and brings the evidences for them like the three categories of Tawheed, All the pillars of Imaan, and other matters of Aqeedah pertaining to things like the Muslim ruler and Wala/Bara

‎This book is fairy small and is only around 180 pages (Depending on the print) and it contains around 380 reports, The book is in a format that makes it easy for the person to memorize, so you can go to each باب of Aqeedah and memorize the different evidences needed

‎This book is a gem considering that it contains all the main evidences pertaining to all the main matters of Itqaad

‎It is a very comprehensive and beneficial book, I believe that if a person had to choose only one book to study the Aqeedah of Ahul Sunnah and be grounded in it then this book would suffice to a certain extent. this is a book that needs to be studied, memorized and taught, and the people will find this book extremely beneficial.
