Here is a good devotional song from Anzus Society.

Lyrics:

Far away in the star filled night
We fly with the wind beyond all sight
Into the sky like the roaring flame
Shed your skin and forget your name

Hail to the one who hung from the tree
For 9 long nights he swayed in the breeze
To bring forth the secret signs of the void
The lord of the dead the self he destroys

Traveling quick with the spirits and ghosts
Through the village and fringe we pierce every host
Gathering all those secret signs
That create our world as we journey through time

Hail to the 3 who dictate life
How long that we live and how much strife
Favor us now who sing your praise
The keepers of the web please stretch our days

Soar on the wind under full moon light
And the howling wolves fill cracks in the night
This primal force that burns in the soul
Guiding our path under Ymir’s skull

Sit at the foot of the ancient tree
And offer yourself with what your bleed
Water the roots which stretch in the earth
And hold the son who awaits rebirth

卐 Swastika megathread 卍
I’ve said my piece on the swastika, but I thought I’d put it all in one place.

The theory that the swastika is based on the movement of the Big Dipper around the North Star is well established, by René Guénon and Gennady Zdanovich, an archaeologist who studied Arkaim.
https://t.me/sagnamadr/2526

While all constellations rotate, including Draconis as noted by Reza Assasi, on a few common variations of the swastika, the four circles align with the position of the Little Dipper in relation to the Big Dipper. Many variations have arms shaped like the Big Dipper.

https://t.me/sagnamadr/2339
https://t.me/sagnamadr/2544
https://t.me/sagnamadr/2559

Although the traditional Germanic calendar only recognizes two seasons, the arms align with the most important times of year for sacrifice: the beginning and middle of the traditional summer and winter.
The equilateral cross also evokes solar imagery. ⴲ

I was talking to a friend about the best English translation of the Bhagavad Gita, and I’m going to suggest Winthrop Sargeant’s.
The problem with many English translations is they’re often heavily sanitized, and any passages that could offend Western sensibilities are either oversimplified or straight up omitted. Oversimplification is another common issue; Sanskrit is an extremely complex language.
Sometimes you’ll find one where you’ll have a few selected verses, followed by several pages of the hippie author telling you how they feel about it, kind of like how modern playgans will cherry-pick a few out-of-context stanzas from the Poetic Edda, and discard the rest as “Christian tainted” in order to create a warped pseudo-religion that validates their existing worldview and beliefs.
But with Winthrop Sargeant’s Gita, every verse is there, with an intensive translation, so you can read it yourself and decide what you think.

Literacy:
One thing I love about Japan is that book stores and literacy abound.
I can go to a books store, and for relatively cheap, I can get books and magazines on any topic.
History (Asian and European) science, arts, hobbies, occult, politics, conspiracies, skills, you name it. Novels and comics that are for both children and adults. Fantasy and Sci-fi still live.
There are books on religion that cover topics as deep as some Western academics and writers have produced, just begind a language barrier.
Yes, this includes European Pagan myths and Abrahamic along with indepth Shintō, Buddhism, and Taoist books.
Most of these books are informational and not just riddled with political propaganda but rather unbiased concepts (yes, there is propaganda still as there is everywhere on earth).

I'll say that for the West, some parts of Europe I have lived in were similar.

I think the US has lost the love of books outside of low tier female romance. This is mostly due to a semi agenda by corporations, but also due to inflation and digital age ism.
Also, the amount of trash being produced. See any Target.
I would say that those in certain parts of the West, self-publishing is last bastion.

Abrahamic adoption of anime/manga is ironic.
Because the elements in most of these anime are extremely Pagan.
Dragon Ball is a very much Buddhist / Shinto minded story written with Apotheosis in mind, while being based on a Buddhist themed Chinese novel.

I know Christians adopt popular things to subvert them for conversion.
But it doesn't work, Goku is probably as popular as Jesus today.
Also, most of the workings of the world's in these stories are extremely Pagan.
This goes for a majority of anime, even the ones with Christian themes.
There are always other Gods, magic, occult elements, etc, which don't work within the Christians, especially protestantism, ideology, and lack of mysticism or plurality.

When it is represented, Christianity in the East is merged with all Western Paganism and Magic most of the time. The result is usually alchemical or mystical focused concepts. Which is more of a view of faith and spirituality that makes sense to Eastern mindset.

It’s been a few months since our first Exiles of the Golden Age conference in Vancouver with Thomas Rowsell, and while we’ve been quiet, we’ve been hard at work. We’re thrilled to announce that plans are underway for an even more ambitious 2025 conference, featuring high-profile, thought-provoking speakers from three continents. Each is a successful culture creator contributing to the reinvigoration of European civilization.

Now is the time to maintain momentum. A growing vacuum of power and legitimacy presents Europeans with their first real opportunity in a century to reclaim agency over their communities and destinies. Exiles of the Golden Age offers a vital forum for this cultural revival, fostering international connections among European nationalists and supporting the organic growth of folkish, local communities.

Once the speaker lineup is finalized, we’ll make the official announcement. Stay tuned to this page for updates on merchandise, ticket sales, ancient artifact exhibit, music releases and other exciting plans we have in the works.

Happy New Year!

Thank you all for your support—we can’t wait to see you in person again soon.

Wrong.
Bob = Robert: is an old German name that means “bright fame.” It's taken from the old German name Hrodebert.

Kyle: is from the Gaelic word caol, meaning narrow; strait; confidence; reliance; trust.

Tyler : Tile maker; Roof worker. Tyler is a gender-neutral name of British origin. Stemming from the French word "tieulier," meaning "tile maker," it was once used as an occupational name.

Tim = Timothy, is a masculine name. It is a version of the Greek name Τιμόθεος (Timόtheos) meaning 'one who honours God', from τιμή 'honour' and θεός 'God'.

Rarely do any modern Indians use the names in this meme or from ancient Vedic Arya names.
The most common name in India is Muhammad, not an Indo-European name.

This nonsense of attacking white people on the basis of anything is pathetic.

Most Indians don't know the origins of their names and don't know ancient sanskrit scriptures, and most Europeans and Americans also don't know their origins of their names and their meanings.

I think both would benefit from knowing these things. Such a connection to one's name, especially last name, would give the people an understanding of their place in history and a bit of pride in it.

The channel recently read the folktale "Godmother death". This folktale is about Marena who brought up a boy and tells his father about the end of life in Nav, in which tapers are burning. When the flame reaches the end then Marena would visit to bring the person to Nav. The father changed the candle. Marena didn't appreciate the action and despite this she allowed it and when the father should have died. Marena refused to take him, because he changed his candle. This means death will happen, despite people wanting to help. Death treats everyone equally

Why did she accept the boy? He was born into poverty

The father and child learned how to heal people with herbs.

One of my followers had presented me with a few rebuttal points regarding this that they wanted me to address. Thereby, I present my answers here.

"they are real because they are us. we are the divine."

This is promethean atheism.
You are not divine but have the potential to be divine. The Gods are related to you, but they are above you, not just within you.
Them just being within you is psychology intepretations and Jungian like archetypes which they are more than that.

Varg say " Odin is the Sum of all our ancestors and the progenitor thereby alive within us"

If Odin is the sum of all ancestors via how Varg describes it, he doesn't exist or have any spiritual power or sentience. Either this is a form of atheistic singularity or something he himself can't describe.

"Varg believes in Hamingja and generational karma via the wyrd, so he isn't an atheist."

First, let's define Hamingja

In Norse mythology, hamingja (Old Norse "luck") refers to two concepts:

the personification of the good fortune or luck of an individual or family,
the altered appearance of shape-shifters.

Orchard, Andy (1997). Dictionary of Norse Myth and Legend. Cassell. ISBN 0-304-34520-2

Usually, this took the form of a female spirit or animal spirit.

Believing in Hamingja or a family karma system doesn't really make one not an atheist or agnostic because he never applies any form of deity or divine aspect behind them. It then just comes off as hippie spirituality without any belief in the Gods.

" Varg had a skiing accident where he had an out of body experience, meaning he believes in souls"

His skiing accident is pointless to mention. Out of body experience don't matter because he doesn't mention the Gods or any belief in them.

"His wife writes about theology, Cosmology, and Metaphysics in her books"

His wife's theology is all just metaphors and summaries of nature, which also is rather unwilling to make the Gods anything but metaphoric.

Anyone who actually reads his works and understands a definition of divinity would state he seems agnostic or atheistic.
Maybe a Pagan leaning or informed agnostic or atheist but not a Pagan or Heathen by historical or theological understanding.

I have answered all of these points, and tbh I'm tired of addressing Varg's spiritual opinions. They are what they are, and I have said all that needs to be from me at this point.

Hammer and Vajra

28 Dec, 15:27

My final statement regarding Varg and Paganism / Atheism.

After reading a majority of his works and watching his videos, Varg's theories can be summarized like this.

To him, Odin is your Id or "soul" consciousness.
This is just your genetic memory from your ancestors, and together is like a Folk Soul.
The Gods are just metaphors of your ancestors and the rituals and runes and stories of the Gods and depictions and dances and songs are all just ways to revive your ancestral memory and become the Gods. You have kids to pass them on to the next set, and the Gods live on thorough your DNA and are basically just your DNA. The placenta is Yggdrasil, where life is born, thereby Odin your genetic memory and DNA and ancestors go to your children and reincarnate through this tree or placenta.

I actually don't mind some of this because I believed in metagenetics...the issue is these metaphors are should be a way of understanding things that have even deeper meanings and the Gods should also be real both something you can tap into and become as well as their own high spiritual existence that is separate and beyond you.

He doesn't have that, there is no other depth, the Gods don't exist to him at all, runes, rituals, the Gods, symbols, ect, are all just metaphors to make you remember life and death and basically have genetic memory...and Odin isn't real but just the process itself.

There is no theology, Cosmogony, Cosmology, there is no way to become like the Gods or have apotheosis except by having babies. By his writings and expressed views, Heavens, Asgard, Valhalla, and Hell aren't real. They are all just metaphors for your life going on.

This is a humanistic atheist point of view. Acting as if all the Gods are is a natural phenomenon and metaphors is doing exactly what the atheist anthropologist and evolutionary scientists, that even Varg claims to dislike, do.

He will always strawman about how no one really believes in 8 legged horses and goats (which is a trap because of course those are metaphors), and how dumb and Christian like you are for believing the Gods exist on any level and are beings separated from or higher than you in any way. And as soon as you ask how that isn't atheism, he either shuts you down or his horde of fanboys come after you.

This is from my having watched a lot of his videos and owning many of his books (one of which is semi decent to a degree).

I don't mean him any ill will.
He is a good artist and family man.
He had a rough life.
But his views of religion, Paganism, and faith don't match up to anything historical or spiritual.
And many of his views with the Placenta reek of feminism and humanism and to be honest they are very much similar to the works his wife put forth in her thesis and current writings which makes me think he arrived at these conclusions after marrying her as his views of Paganism seemed to have changed over time.

She seems to be a splendid lady and good mother, so I mean her no ill either.
However, don't agree with either of their takes regarding Paganism.

Tbh I explained it here too well and did him too much justice he doesn't even present his work this concisely.
Most of his books are a small amount of pages in large print that say placenta placenta placenta or the Gods are just phenomenon or mental memories of the past locked in your mind and DNA...but don't exist.

Somehow, he and many of his fans will tell you this isn't atheism.

The thing is, I agree with him on these aspects to a degree... but those aspects are just a part of the greatness of the Gods and the cosmos..not the sum of it.

If he changes his mind or decides to produce a book that fully explains how he believes in the sentience and divinity of Odin and the Gods beyond just metaphors, placenta, and DNA, I will cease to calm him an atheist.

This isn't to start any flame wars or insult him or his family.

This is just to address the many comments people make regarding him or recommending his work.

Shifting to Western Indo-European focus

Over the years, much of my work has been focused on the connections between ancient Indo-Europeans and the modern Vedic faiths along with European Paganism.
This resulted in three 4 books so far. As well as thousands of posts and articles.

However, I plan to broaden my focus.
Plenty has been said regarding the Indo-European connection, but I want to shift focus to broader Eurasian concepts as well as European folk faith. I think during this age of revival, it is the most important fo focus upon my own people and their ancient connections both to the broader Indo-Europeans as well as general Europe folk. I will continue to highlight connections between Vedic faiths as well as Buddhism, being that I am a Vajrayana Lay priest, and it will always be an aspect that I am upfront about. However, I feel the Celto-Germanic and Slavic and general European folk and their ties and connections are to be the focus for this coming year.

That being said, anyone who is interested in general Indo-European Paganism or wants to please check out my books here.

Regarding modern India:

Not to hop into the travesty of Elon trying to replace Western people, but to highlight the issues with interactions.

I have plenty of great Indians and Hindus who follow my work and have been respectful and interacted with me for years.
However, there is a large portion of those who are only cordial and polite as long as it seems I'm praising Indian culture, religion, and / or promoting Indian supremacy. As soon as any logical criticism about any aspect of India arises or that I care about my own people first and foremost (as all should naturally do) they instantly turn to slander, blasphemy, personal attacks and anti white racial attacks.

I highly respect the great Hindus who have followed me over or talked with me in person over the years. But I have been put off with trying to seek any further information outside of Western scholarship or well written books as the interactions online in general have been of bad faith.

I will say that when I was in India and talked to religious practitioners, or the general people in stores, ect, they were, on average, very nice.
This isn't the norm online. It doesn't seem to be the norm with Elon's employees. And if those who are extremely smart and talented want to do something great, they should fix India. It needs more help than the West. Where I visited was just as terrible as some people online who are anti Indian make it out to be. And that reality is sad.
They are welcome to visit as a friend or ally on a project, but we aren't fixing anyone countries by moving populations and replacing others.

Yes, this is coming from a guy who sees the Indo-European connections of the Deva and Vedic faith, thinks looking towards the Vedic connections and greater Indo-European connections has helped the revival of European Paganism, worships Indo-Arya forms of the Gods via Vajrayana Buddhism, and has written many works on such.

Lastly, we have to acknowledge that just like Europe and America, India is vast, not everyone there is the same, and there are different qualities of people, culture, and faith.

The Shepards seeing the Angels to herald Christ's Birth is the same vein of tradition as Hesiod's Theogony.

This is intentional. The Angels tell the coming of a Messiah and ultimately Gospel, while the Goddess and Muses show/tell the Cosmology and Cosmogony of the Greek religion.

In many ways, the Germanic Valkyrie (Old English wælcyrge) being Disr repersnt something similar directly thought they are not the ones telling the Lore but heralding victory or change.

Luke 2:8-15

"8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Hesiod's Theogony translated by Hugh G. Evelyn-White
[1914]

"And one day they taught Hesiod glorious song while he was shepherding his lambs under holy Helicon, and this word first the goddesses said to me -- the Muses of Olympus, daughters of Zeus who holds the aegis:

(ll. 26-28) `Shepherds of the wilderness, wretched things of shame, mere bellies, we know how to speak many false things as though they were true; but we know, when we will, to utter true things.' "

These connections are apparent. The New Testament was mostly written in a form of Greek called Koine, and the Christians of the time would have known of these beliefs. Even the Hebrews would have and often had a view of the Angels as lesser deities or aspects of the divine, which they derived first from Mesopotamia then Zoroastrian Persian. Just as the Old Testament tapped into or directly borrowed from other Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Cannanite, and Caucasian myths, so too did the New Testament continue these influences as well as adding its contemporaries.

As a Heathen parent, what will I teach my kids about Santa…
I will teach them that Odin was syncretized with St. Nicholas of Myra in the Netherlands, who was known as an anonymous gift giver, which gave rise to the softened caricature we now know as Santa.
I’ll teach them that while there’s no jolly old man who will literally come down the chimney and leave presents, what lies beneath this caricature is absolutely real; Odin riding through the night sky with our ancestors in winter, the Álfar/Elves, in the Wütende Heer, and they will bestow the kinds of gifts that are blessings you may not immediately be able to see, and reason he’s able to visit all the children of our folk is because underneath this caricature is a God.
I’ll also teach them that leaving out milk and cookies is a modern remnant of pagan Jólablót sacrifices and leaving out offerings for the Wild Hunt in winter, and we’ll leave out an offering with a proper a blót ceremony before bed.

I know the whole "Christmas is Pagan" argument has been done to death, but I have yet to see a video that was as balanced and nuanced as this one but still maintaining a lot of core Pagan elements. It is great to show the family who may not understand what you celebrate if you are a Pagan. Or even for those of Christian, Western, heritage who want to have a broader look.

It won't satisfy those who are highly learned regarding the dating of Yule between different Germanic groups or specifics of certain rituals, etc. But for a general holiday feeling and explanation, it works well.

Recently I picked up this game.
I don't usually do game reviews here unless it is spiritual or culturally relevant.
With that, I will say this is indeed a culturally relevant game.
TLDR: This game is a great metroidvania like arcade shooter.

It is extremely relevant with jokes that are so spot on with right-wing meme culture and have references that those in the know will find themselves laughing out loud about.
It feels like having a conversation on your favorite Discord or Telegram but with an interactive cyberpunk-themed metroid+megaman game with a great synth soundtrack and lots of decent pro-Europe cultural references.
All of the jokes aside, the story and setting are sadly believable and rather solid for such a gag / meme based game.
It's worth picking up on sale right now imo.

If you aren't right-wing? Maybe a centrist? they're pretty harmless jokes with a fun dystopian setting. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2732820/The_Great_Rebellion/

Natural faith: The core of all spirituality.

At their core, all spirituality and religion is Ethnic Polytheism, ancestors veneration, and universal / cosmic animism.

This includes all Dharmic, Indo-European, and tribal faiths.

This is why Abrahamic religions are unnatural. They go against what we know at our core to be true faith. Which is the primal nature of the cosmos. Only when one acknowledges this can they arrange the Chaos of the Cosmos into Order. Trying to force order that is agianst nature and primordial forces doesn't work and will always come off with a dead, lifeless, frustrating and life denying worldview which requires drawing from other faiths that came before for substance and foundation.
All while stamping them down or out so you can keep the deception that you are the only ones with the answers.

Even at their foundation and core, Abrahamic religions were born from and absorbed faiths that had these proper and nautral understandings.

With this, I will define what I mean by natural religion.
Natural religions don't just revere ecology and the spiritual aspects of the elements and nature. They also understand and accept the nature of humanity, both vices and virtues, and how to appropriately embrace the good and face the bad. Self mastery is a core aspect.
By natural virtues, compassion is over altruism, strength above weakness, protecting ones own above the masses, wisdom over servitude, and slave mindset.

Ancestor veneration is always prominent within these, often with the most highly honored ancestors or folk heroes being lifted into the pantheon itself.

Lastly, when I mention universal or cosmic animism, this means that the spiritual world and cosmos aren't just limited or restricted to that which is only defined by the lore / myths of the faith. Other Gods and spirits, or intepretations, can exist, and spirit can reside within all things without threatening the understanding and theology of the faith.

Why do modern Christians sometimes accuse Heathens of atheism?

Historically the church accused Heathens of worshipping devils and demons. Whenever we Heathens worshipped wood or stone images of the gods and thereby encountered the numinous, the Christians said that these idols were actually possessed by demons who tricked us into calling them gods. When the images were made to speak in the way that Woden taught mankind, then the church said that this was due to the magic of wizards. When our necromancers went to barrows and caused the dead to rise and converse with the living, the Christians, whose religion does not allow for the Heathen to have the power to undo death, therefore said that this was the devil in the shape of a dead man. The Christians never denied that the gods appeared to speak through idols, they never denied that the dead appeared to rise and converse with Heathens, instead they made up explanations to cope with these realities and preserve their world view by saying we had been deceived by evil beings in the shape of the dead or the gods.

But the modern Christian, particularly the very online sort, doesn’t bother with traditional Catholic doctrine. They go against the teachings of the early bishops and Saints who made the above declarations. Instead they accuse the Heathens of only pretending to believe in the gods and ancestors. In defying the Saints they are probably guilty of heresy within their dogma, but it is pertinent to consider why these modern Christians take such a radically different attitude toward Heathenry compared to the Christians of Early Medieval Europe. I think it is because they do not believe such things are even possible. For the majority of Christian history the belief in ghosts was taken for granted. It is the Protestant reformation that opened the door to a modern view that such beliefs are superstitious. From this great cleavage with the ancient world, the cults of scientism and materialism emerged. These cults are so pervasive that they inform the views of all Christians, not only Protestants but Catholics too, especially hyper-online Catholic converts. This explains why they accuse Heathens of atheism - it is a form of projection. These people do not believe in a holy ghost, nor in the witch of Endor’s necromantic power, nor in the talking serpent of Eden, nor in Nephilim or millions of horses with the heads of lions or any of the other fantastical beings that their holy book requires them to believe in. THEY are atheists and they do not believe in the Christian religion as they are supposed to, they merely pretend to. They pick and choose what to believe from the Bible, and they focus only on a soteriological doctrine from a universal god who, in the most sentimental terms, they describe as “love” and who is his own son who brings the message of “love” to mankind. This common Christian view is not really the religion of the Bible. It is practically atheism, and in many cases I suspect the “converts” are cynical atheists who find the aesthetics and consoling continuity of Christianity appealing because it has been present in our culture for so long. They don’t really believe in it. These are the people who then say we are only interested in Heathenry because we like the “aesthetic” - which makes no sense because the aesthetics of Heathenry changed a lot from the Migration to the Viking era and the modern Heathen religion has no prescribed aesthetic. They are really speaking about themselves because they do not know what it is like to encounter the numinous, or to enter communion with one’s departed ancestors.

I should stress that I have hardly ever had any negative experiences with Christians in real life throughout the 15 years I have practised the True religion, but rather our most fervent opponents are limited to the online sphere. “The lady doth protest too much, methinks".

I find him a fascinating author, as do many nowadays. In fact it his works and universe have become almost too mainstream nowadays to the point where it has ruined some of the depth of lore and griping fear within.

His prolific influence reached everywhere from Occult studies to media, games, art, music, horror literature, and psychology.

While I don't agree fully with his view of the divine and cosmic fear, I think he was very much of a Pagan mindset and maybe spirituality.

For influential creative American writers who had semi Pagan themes and wrote characters worth remembering, I would say Lovercraft and Robert E. Howard are top tier.
In the same vein of horror and psychology analytical writing or moral dilemma, I would say their predecessor Edgar Allen Poe is amazing as well.

When I was younger, these men inspired me to write. While I don't write fiction anymore I may return to it int rhe future, however I am very glad we have had men like this to express the world in different, and darker, ways so to challenge how we think of the world and cosmos and how we precieve ourselves.

Larping is good.
You larp as your ancestors.
You larp as who you are and who you want to be or the role you are playing on a daily basis.
Then you larp as worshipers until you larp apotheosis and larp as the Divine themselves.
I grow tired of the term larp and people cowering behind it or using it as a weapon.

Or mixing Abrahamic faiths with anything is suspect in my opinion.
They naturally mixed over time when they absorbed the faiths they oppressed or ruled over.
But those who know better today shouldn't fall for this or promote it.

I am for faiths working together and seeing similarities when possible.
But there are obvious incompatibilities that can not be reconciled.
Such mixtures shown here may be a sweet, peaceful gesture but ultimately will be abused by subverts.

This same goes for Christo-Pagans and the like.

Decent questions in this discussion, which deserve good answers.

https://t.me/sagnamadr presented some good food for thought.

My answer for why the Gods intervene is thus.

Guido Von List explained it as the Father and the divine experience life through us as well, and we are in an ever evolving and rotating cycle.
Thereby, they intervene now and then for course correction or divine expeession of life. It makes things interesting or keeps things on a certain track.
We, of course, have say in it, and often this leads to golden ages or dark ages.
Most Indo-European / Paganism and Eurasian faiths in general have this understanding.

Dharmic faiths also speak to this.

Also, the intervening Odin or other Gods have done genetically or metagenetically is during a primordial age being a foundation.

Adding on to HaV’s post, regarding pagan coherence…

Firstly, the Eddic Poems, which make up our most important sacred texts, are backed up by hundreds of years of continuity. For example, images of Sigurd sucking his burnt thumb on 5th Century bracteates, images of Wayland on 5th Century Frankish coins and 7th Century picture stones from Gotland, and parallels of Eddic poems in other Germanic literature. For example, stanzas of the Hávamál have parallels in The Wanderer, the Hákonarmál and the Fóstbrœðra Saga. Things like these show that our Eddic myths were consistent for hundreds of years across the Germanic world, before they were collected and written down.

Secondly, many tenets of the moral structures and worldviews of the pagan religions of Europe have parallels in other Indo-European religions, most notably Hinduism, the many branches of which form the oldest continuously practiced religion in the world; that’s consistency. While many sects have changed over the centuries, many have retained the original Vedic rituals and beliefs.

Lastly, assuming the original poster is Christian, it’s ironic that he talks about coherence, as the second half of the Bible is Jesus ripping apart established moral structures and traditions, not to mention Christian history is plagued by centuries of sectarian infighting, and many churches around the world now ignore and contradict Biblical teachings to keep the tithes flowing in.

"Pagan Coherent Moral philosophy vs others"

1. Strawman and disingenuous as it implies Abrahamic faiths actually have a coherent moral philosophy. Answer is they don't, that can't explain a lot of topics and can't get along with each other.

2. Is this morality based on Abrahamic paradigm and understanding of ethnics? Then everything will fall flat. Or be civic morality, which is a modern invention and isn't cohesive either.

Below is my reply after being tagged in this discussion.

He knows where to find me.
He can easily read what I write or have presented in my posts and books.
I have engaged with this misunderstanding of Ethnic faith and Abrahamic usage of the word "pagan" for strawman arguments more than enough.
Everything these so-called "prophets" of Abrahamics have presented were stolen from others or self-fulfilling prophecies.
This labeling of "paganism has no structure" is ignorant at least and intentionally in denial at best.
Rome, Greece, Hittites, Sumer, Egypt, Vedics, Shintō, Persia, Buddhism, and Daoism all present cohesive world view and structure.
For Celto-Germanics or Slavics who didn't have a written record until later, their oral tradtions presents a concise world view.
Most Indo-European faiths have a common world view, moral structure, and cosmology when compared.
Acting as if they don't is disingenuous and the typical strawman argument presented by Abrahamics with an agenda.

This stanza likely refers to the making and decoration of images of Gods. The Anglo Saxon poem Maxims I connects Woden with the making of idols (Woden worhte weos) as well.

Njáls Saga describes decorated idols in Hákon’s temple; Þorgerðr (possibly an epithet of Freyja) wearing a linen cloak and arm rings, and an image of Thor seated in a wagon with gold arm rings, which Hrapp steals before burning the temple down.

This is exactly how it should be.
Non-Dharmic faiths shouldn't be preaching or selling at a dharmic holy place / event.

This is a proper action that the West should emulate.

1. No one comes to such a thing to support Abrahamic religions.

2. Islam (and some Christians) cannot be trusted to not subvert or attack other believers at such an event.

I would expect future Ethnic folk events in the West to do the same. That is unless someone of a cousin or related faith is invited and brought in directly as a guest or friend.

This is an interesting phenomenon.
Symbolism, talismans, amulets, and protection form the divine that links one to their culture as well, has been important to warriors since the earliest days.

Only in the current modern era has such things been downplayed via secular and communism / corpo capital atheism.

It is interesting to see how the Russian are using Orthodox Church parchment, and the Ukrainians primarily have Pagan symbols in these examples, (Though I am sure that there are Orthodox examples on the Ukrainian side as well) but they Chruch is condemning their own Russia troops for the usage as it is too Pagan.

I have some Ukrainian patches, and they have Pagan symbolism on them.

This reminds me of how Azov had rituals to Perun and swore to protect Scythian relics while the Russia Wagner group's troops had patches and deisgns with Runes and Germanic and Slavic pagan symbols as well as Christian.

This phenomenon can be seen on US patches as well. With many Germanic Pagan symbols or older Medieval Christian ones being worn.

The whole situation is interesting tonsay the least.
Even more so that Warhammer, which was written to reflect different variants of real world faiths embodied in factions, is now intermixing with real faith and current politics.

The Heimskringla mentions a statue of Thor made of silver and gold, with offerings being placed in its open mouth; I’ve seen similar things from India. Similarly, Vladimir the Great built a statue of Perun with a silver head and a moustache of gold.
Njáls Saga and the Færeyinga Saga describe statues of Gods wearing arm rings, as well as a linen cloak, indicating that they would’ve had more detailed arms and torsos. Unfortunately, very few originals survived.

Tonight is the full moon of Blot month. Bede says the English traditionally sacrificed cattle to the gods at this time but he didn't say which ones.

Professor Richard North argues that Bede's use of the Latin vanis is a rendering of the Old English cognate of 'Vanir' which would be Waene. Not everyone agrees with him but if you do then it is a time to blot to Ingui Frey, Easter/Freyja etc.

The importance of sacrifice at this time of year continued long after Christianisation in the form of St Martin's day. In France the taking of vows in the woods or at sacred spring on St Martin's day was banned in 578 AD. In Ireland people were still sprinkling sacrificial blood in their house on St Martin's day as recently as the 20th century!

This video is probably one of the best understandings and overview of Esoteric / Vajrayana Buddhism in Japan which is the branch / practice I am closely an adherent to or pulis of aside from my more recent initiations into Tibetan schools.
While this video doesn't cover the Shugendou of which I am most closley a follower of it does lay out overarching basics of East Asian (Japanese and Chinese) Vajrayana, how Buddhist schools aren't fully closed off from one another but instead learn from each other and how the general mystical and philosophical forms work together within the cosmology, practice, and eschatology.

Also highlighted are working with divinity and the nature of the divine where one can see how Pagan and Indo-European faiths work well within the cosmology of Buddhism and the Cosmic Buddha / Dharmakāya.

Regarding the discovery of a Poseidon Temple and the God himself.

https://www.thebrighterside.news/post/ancient-greek-temple-of-poseidon-finally-found-after-2600-years/

An interesting aspect is how Poseidon himself can he interpreted as both a Sky Father aspect and Ocean father. In ancient Mesopotamia / Mediterranean, the Sky and Ocean were seen as the same, with a good example being Anu and Abzu.
Merging this with the Dyeus aspect in the Indo-European being associated with horses storms and providence you get later intepretations of Poseidon who may be viewed in a trinity of sorts with Zeus and Hades formulating sort of three faces to the same being. Though there are other intepretation / concepts that are debated as well.
Ultimately approaching the divine in reverence with a spirit earning for guidance in spiritual and physical self improvement is what matters the most.

Coming to the conclusion that everything is muh "satan" / black sun (which is a modern concept for the most part) or Saturn and Judhaism is some ridiculous thing is see going on Twitter and for the most part seems to be a Christian way of attacking Pagans.
The Hebrews don't worship the Black Sun, and Saturn concepts are projected upon them and usually conjecture.
Most of Eurasia has commonalities such as Tree of life, Runic style kabbalah understanding, fire worship, etc.
Most of the Hebraic elements got it from others in Eurasia, not the other way around.
To be honest, trying to find muh evil judhaism in everything isn't the way to go and is rather a subversive view... many who promote such have an agenda.

“Every mythology has grown up in a certain society in a bounded field. Then they come into collision and relationship, and they amalgamate, and you get a more complex mythology. But today there are no boundaries. The only mythology that is valid today is the mythology of the planet –and we don’t have such a mythology. The closest thing I know to a planetary mythology is Buddhism, which sees all beings as Buddha beings. The only problem is to come to the recognition of that. There is nothing to do. The task is only to know what is, and then to act in relation to the brotherhood of all of these beings.”

This is from a conversation regarding my stating that alturism is adharmic.

Modern altruism stems from Christianity and has been lifted into a concept of raising everyone above your own to the point where you are damaging your own and doing nothing for your or your own tribes benefit but lifting outsiders and others up to your own detriment.
This is seen as a holy martyrdom or holier than thou of salvation through masochism.

When I say alturism is vile, adharmic, etc...
This is not to say that own shouldn't help others within their own tribe or group, or that through commonalities / mutual trust or care, that you cannot help those in need or allies...those are mercy or compassion.
Dharmic compassion and alturism shouldn't be confused for one another.

Taking serious or assault someone over the Bickering or debates with anyone who memes you or insults you online isn't prudent, mature, or of noble spirit. Many aren't serious or are of international flavor who have no effect on you.
You should know when someone really crosses the line or threatens you, and you should only respond in kind, with tact, choosing your battles wisely.

Good take regarding religious morality and the modern understanding of it being related to "altruism".

"True religion strives for The Infinite above and beyond 'mere life' or survival.

Altruism saves no-one, the inspiration to reach impossible heights is the only salvation allotted to us."

The Heathens, like the modern wokes, viewed words as violence. But unlike wokes, they did not think violence was bad, only that it required retribution. Since insults and accusations had the power to reduce the greatest man to a mere nithing, it was not in any way an "escalation" to respond to an unflattering accusation by killing a man.

Any spoken word is like a magic spell. It brings a potential reality into being. This is why mass media is so powerful. The most powerful magic is media. If a witch tried to curse you, you would strike her with a sword before she could finish. If a man insulted your lord, you would kill him to regain the honour otherwise lost.

Even Christian prayers were seen as provocations,as Grønbech writes: "Once, when the Britons were attacked by the king of the Northumbrians, they had taken a small army of monks with them, and placed them in a safe spot to pray during the fight. King Ethelfrid, with practical sense, first sent his men to cut down the monks, and then proceeded to deal with the warriors. "If they call on their god to help them against us," he said, "then they are fighting against us, even though they use no weapon, since they oppose us with their prayers." Granted, such prayers were actually addressed to God, but Ethelfrid knew that even though the strong words made a slight detour, they would certainly end in the men for whom they were intended.

The modern Heathen should regard any kind of spoken defamation in media or elsewhere as a provocation.

💯 agreed.
True morality comes from the divine.
When humanity comes to a proper and natural moral choice on their own, they are following their inner divine as well and the Gods and Ancestors who guide them.
There is no Morality, Dharma, Law, Balance, or Order to life via atheistic humanism.

Although I greatly enjoyed Cederberg's book from a narrative angle, when it comes to religion/spirituality, it starts with a flawed premise, thus, the conclusion at the end misses the mark completely.

None of us who look into India (or the east, broadly speaking) do so in a desire or effort to adopt their culture, become one of them or be "accepted" by them, but to receive the transmission of the uninterrupted spiritual lineage that (save for some niche exceptions that are completely unaccessible for most) has been lost in the west due to factors such as christianity and modernity, this being the key element needed in order to kickstart a true western pagan renaissance, which has been lacking in past efforts of failed pagan revival for the last 300 years.

TLDR summary Aryan Migration / Aryan Invasion = mostly likely true.

"What the DNA says about the origins of the Indian people, however, could be politically loaded. Some of the bones may date to a period 3800 to 3500 years ago, around the time that Yamnaya pastoralists from the steppes, once called Aryans, are thought to have migrated to India. Historians believe Sanskrit, a classical language of the region, originated with these immigrants. Many Hindu nationalists, however, downplay or reject this scenario, in part because of its lingering association with colonial narratives about a race of fair-skinned Aryans conquering the region. (In fact, the Yamnaya were nomadic herders who likely arrived in small waves, experts say.) Instead, they argue for a reverse sequence: that Aryans were indigenous to India, and eventually carried their language and culture to Central Asia and Europe.
Most academics don’t support this view, but it remains popular among some Hindu nationalist supporters of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party as well some Indian media. In 2019, for example, many Indian journalists reported that a study of aDNA from a 4500-year-old skeleton of a woman who lived in the Indus Valley proved there had been no “Aryan migration,” because she carried no steppe ancestry. In fact, the study only supported other evidence that the steppe migration occurred later. In April, however, India’s government tweaked a widely used grade 12 history textbook to present the study as undermining the steppe migration scenario.
It is likely that the new study will only “refine” the mainstream scientific understanding, not overthrow it, Chaubey says. And he doubts any genetic findings will end the political claims. “Scientists are not confused,” he says. “Politicians are.” "

Aki Cederberg is a European Pagan author, and creative artist, who wrote the book called "Journeys in the Kali Yuga: A Pilgrimage from Esoteric India to Pagan Europe."

I bought the book a few years back, and there are my thoughts.

There are a few points in this book that really resonated with me regarding my purpose, what I feel is a calling, and my goal with the Hammer and Vajra project. But there are a few things I disagree with.

In the book, he speaks on European Paganism being a broken line. This is something that I feel like isn't 100% true, but objectively can be summarized as true. While we have had folklorist, theologians, mystics, and certain "orders" what have appeared over the years, our direct connections, for the most part, are broken. Cederberg speaks of his journey to India to become an initiate in the Nagababa Sādhanā. He speaks regarding taking the Vedic path and bringing the linage of unbroken Indo-European faith back to European Paganism but keeping it the flavor of European Paganism.

In sort of a syncretic method. Also, like reenacting the Indo-European migratory path again. This would be for the goal of creating an unbroken line and almost stitching European Paganism back together with its past. I myself have have performed many travels and working through initiation in a similar path, though nothing as extreme as Sadhu from India (Though the term Shugen for Vajrayana buddhism is derived from Sadhu there fore Shugendo is like the Buddhist Sādhanā).

He also mentioned how European paganism needs figures, like the Sadhu, who are adherence to Odin, Veles, Dionysus, etc, in order to bring back the divine connection to the everyday people. This is something that the Hammer and Vajra project supports for all traditions. Part of our goal is not only to achieve something akin to this but to highlight others who are making such strives in the west. This, too, is what I think Odinism needs as well.
Those who thirst for the Shamanic connection with Odin as well as the formal Indo-European ritual priesthood and standard lore following lay people.

Ultimately I feel plenty of us have brought back the connections and embers from "living" traditions in the East and the fact that there are those of us focused on reviving, studying, and most importantly practicing our true and sincere belief, we have a living tradition now. It can only get stronger and more glorious.

In this coming year, with danger and political unrest coming to a boil across the world, it is time for a revival of true spirituality of the people. I hope this marks the year where many of you start this journey as well.
May the Gods bless you all and lead you to wisdom and strength.

“Beyond a doubt, we need our gods and our sense of them to rejoin us. How this might be done is still a matter of great concern and debate. There is no going back to past forms, nor is there any sense in being nostalgic about the outer trappings of yesterday. To somehow rekindle the essence may be all that matters; we can only move ever forward. We have to become the hero of our own story, both in our personal lives and as a collective…”

Maybe Mesopotamian connections are, or the Caucasians regions, but this obsession with Israel, Zion, Mecca, etc is an Abrahamic only thing.

The sad thing is, there are probably some good people among their membership who really want to be free from Abrahamic paradigms or reconnect with the true Gods of their ancestors.
Yet they were poached by those with ill intent and manipulation.
If anything glows, it is this.

Like some odd plague, these "Joy of Satan" / JoS people are all over X. They probably are deep on here, too. Almost like a psyop, they spread lies about the Gods. They claim to have reverse engineered goetic and khaballa to free the Pagan Gods from Abrahamic enslavement...then blasphemously claim to be able to invoke them to help with "vibes" etc.
They unironically praise "Satan" but through word play and poor linguistics they try to trick others into thinking Satan is Sanskrit term, that Odin is Satan because Proto-Germanic Wōðanāz sounds slightly like Latin Satanas. They claim the Greek character Σ (Sigma) is a sideways W and through morphology, it became Wotan.

They unironically worship the Abrahamic Satan as the true god of the "Pagans".

Where they are correct is their argument regarding the term demon and that all of Paganism was demonized.
They try to use this to hijack legitimate pagan conversations to manipulate others to turn to "Satanism" the so-called true ancestral faith. Disavow/Keep away!

Life shouldn't be defined by what you hate.
It should be defined by what you love.
There are a lot of people defining their faith, philosophies, politics, and sadly activities by their hate.
Instead, even your hate should be defined by that which threatens what you love.

Sometimes, it is good to refocus on what it is you love, what you are protecting, why it is worth protecting, enjoying that which you love, and having compassion for sentient beings.

This isn't saying stop struggling and take a blue pill.
But to not be defined by negativity. Master the struggle, don't let it master you.

When you compare this to previous tribal images, the external influences via Sky Father like elements in the imagery are obvious.

One of Yahweh's weaknesses was said to be iron chariots. (Most likely an euphemism for historical warfare) so his being depicted in a wheeled sky throne with aviary elements is meant to show him as powerful as his contemporaries.
