The best dua on the day of Arafah 🤍

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best invocation is that of the Day of Arafat, and the best that anyone can say is what I and the Prophets before me have said:

Lā 'ilāha 'illallāhu wahdahu lā shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadeer.

[None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things.]

At-Tirmidhi. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/184, and Silsilatul-'Ahadith As-Sahihah 4/6.

Whoever has been prevented from the best day, then he has surely been prevented (from all good) ❗️

Ibn Rajab said :

The day of ‘Arafah is the day Allāh frees necks from the Hellfire, so Allāh frees the one who stands at the ‘Arafah site, and even the Muslims who do not stand in ‘Arafah but make dua with hope.

And for this reason, the day following ‘Arafah was made Eid for all the Muslims altogether wherever they are, regardless of whether they witnessed the season (were present at Hajj) or not; due to their all sharing the characteristic of being freed from the Fire and attaining forgiveness on the Day of ‘Arafah.

What should you do on the Day of Arafah? How to make the most of it? | A suggested plan 📆🗝

🌙 ⭐️
- Try as much as you can to sleep early with the intention of strengthening yourself for worshipping Allah so that you may be rewarded during your sleep

- Get up before Fajr for Suhoor as Allāh and His angels send salutations on the ones who do Suhoor

- Try to give something in Sadaqah (charity) even if it is a small amount as charity takes away the anger of Allah and is a means of forgiveness of sins so that we can ask Allah on the day Arafah with a pure heart after making sincere Tawbah

- Pray at least 4 Rakaat of Qiyam Ul Layl (Tahajjud) and while you are in Sajdah ask Allah for the best in both this life and the next

- Spend time making Istaghfar before the Fajr Adhaan by at least 5 minutes so that you may be written amongst those who seek forgiveness in the early hours before dawn

- Prepare for Fajr while making Wudu imagine the sins falling off of you with each drop

- Say the dua after Wudu so all 8 gates of Jannah will be opened for you

- Pray Fajr and remain seated on your place of prayer until After Shurooq (sunrise) by 15 minutes

- During this time make Takbeerat , Dhikr , Tasbeeh , tahmeed, Tahlil, Morning Adkar, and the Recitation of the Quran

- After this pray 2 - 4 Rakat of Duha so that you may receive the reward of the one who does Hajj and Umrah

- Then you can either spend the entire day in Dua and Dhikr if you have the energy to stay awake, or you can sleep for 1-2 hours while intending strengthening yourself for the worship of Allah

☀️☁️
- After you wake up vary the rest of your time with different acts of worship so you won’t get tired : Quran recitation, Dhikr, Takbeerat, Dua

- Pray Dhuhr and follow it with Tasbeeh and Takbeerat and read some Quran

- Make the best supplication of Arafah immensely :
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

☁️🤲🏻💗
- Pray Asr and follow it with Takbeerat and the Evening Adhkar

- Read some Quran and then follow it with sincere humble Dua (Supplication) to Allah until Maghrib (sunset) and ask Allah to make you amongst those who are freed from the Fire

📍General tips for Dua : Be in a state of Wudu, face the Qibla, be present, sincere and humble by heart, start with praising Allah and glorifying Him, thanking Him, seeking forgiveness, sending Salutations on the Prophet, then making your duas while asking Him using His beautiful Names and attributes, make dua for the Dunya and Akhirah, then end similarly with sending salawat on the Prophet and thanking Allah who has given you tawfeeq while being sure of Allah answering your prayers.

- Remember that you are not better nor more virtuous than anyone else and remain humble at the mercy of Allah, beg Allah for forgiveness and ask Him for all that you wish, ask Him for acceptance and steadfastness and be certain of His answer.

- Break your fast with the Adhaan of Maghrib , and do not forget the Dua of the fasting person is not rejected.

The Day of ‘Arafah is a day whose value cannot be comprehended enough ! 💎

Imam Nawawi said:

This day is the best day of the Year to make Du’aa, so it is upon the person to free himself and make time for Dhikr, Du’aa and Recitation of the Quran, and to vary between the types of Dhikr and Du’aa that he makes.
He should pray for himself, his parents, his Shuyookh, his companions, friends, his beloved ones, everyone who has been good to him, and all the Muslims.

And let him be warned of falling short regarding all of that, for indeed this day is so great it is not possible to comprehend its value.

Take advantage of these 10 virtuous days before they end ⚡️

Ibn Rajab said:

The most precious gain is in seizing the opportunity of these great days (10 days of Dhul Hijjah), for there is nothing which can replace its value. So hasten to do good deeds.

💎Ten Points for the First Ten days of Dhul-Hijjah & 3 Days of Tashreeq

1. The first ten days are actually nine days with the addition of the day of Eid. It is called the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, but only nine of it is for fasting as the tenth day is the beginning of Eid. It is impermissible to fast on the day of Eid, this is a consensus amongst the people of knowledge.

2. It is permissible to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah with the last day being the day of Arafah for those not doing Hajj. The Prophet (ﷺ) said in a hadith narrated by ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما (in at-Tirimidhi): “There are not any days that good deeds are more beloved to Allah than those done in these ten days.”

3. In these days, it is recommended that there is a lot of remembrance of Allah سبحان و تعالى - this is for all of the ten days.

4. In these days, it is recommended that one makes takbir of Allah (saying Allahu akbar) - this is from 9th dhul hijjah to 13th dhul hijjah.

5. In these days, it is recommended to read the Qur’an as much as possible and give charity - this is for all of the ten days.

6. 🌟The ninth day is the day of Arafah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said in an authentic narration: “Verily on the day of Arafah there is expiation of sins for the year before and the year after” (narrated by Abi Qatada رضي الله عنه, reported in Sahih Muslim and At-Tirmidhi). So therefore it is a great day, so it is recommended to fast that day for those not doing Hajj. Fasting is only permissible for the first nine days as the tenth day is the day of Eid.

7. Allah تعالى said: “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade), and mention the name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice). (Surah al-Hajj: 28). Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما said: “The appointed days are the days of Arafah (9th), an-Nahr (10th) and the days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th and 13th ).

8. Whoever wishes to slaughter in these days it is not allowed to cut or remove any hair from his body or his nails, but this does not apply to his family, only the head of the family who is doing the slaughterings.

9. The ruling regards to slaughtering:

a. An individual who slaughters from his own wealth on behalf of himself and his family - It is not permissible for this individual to shave any hair from his body, remove any part of his skin or cut his nails.

b. An individual who slaughters from his own wealth for others e.g. he wishes to slaughter for his father or his mother - He too must not cut his hair, take from his skin or cut his nails.

c. Anybody who wishes to slaughter with someone else's wealth, for somebody else .e.g. He has been entrusted by someone else to slaughter cattle for him - This individual is allowed to cut his hair, nails and skin etc.

10. Eid Al-Adha: the tenth (the day of Eid prayer) and the days of tashreeq (the eleventh, twelve and thirteenth days of Dhul-Hijjah). It is impermissible to fast in these days for those not performing the Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The days of Tashreeq are days for eating, drinking and remembering Allah عز و جل” (narrated by Abi al-Maleeh رضي الله عنه, reported in Sahih Al-Muslim). Allah سبحان و تعالى said: "And remember Allah during the appointed Days." (Surah Al-Baqarah: 203).

Taken from the works of Al-Imam Al-Baghawee, Al-Alaamah bin Baz and Al-Alaamah Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on them all and all the scholars of the Sunnah.

Virtues of the 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are no days during which the righteous action is more pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah)." He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it."

Juz 30🌙| 🩵Purify your soul 🌨️

[He will indeed attain true success who purifies it(his soul) And he will indeed fail who corrupts it] (Al-Shams: 9-10)

📚 Tafseer Al-Saadi:

🌟❄️ [He will indeed attain true success who purifies it(his soul)] Purifies it from sins, cleanses it from imperfections and faults, elevates it by obeying Allah, and raises its level through beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds.

🌪️💥 [And he will indeed fail one who corrupts it] Corrupts his noble soul that does not deserve to be subjected to impurity by committing immoral deeds, allowing it to develop faults and commit sin, leaving that which would perfect it and make it grow, and instead indulging in that which will bring it shame and spoil it.

Ramadan Daily Reflections 💎 | 2024
Juz 29🌙| Loving the temporary life 💸

[No! But you (mankind) love the immediate, And leave (neglect) the Hereafter.] (Al-Qiyāmah: 20-21)

📚 Tafseer Al-Saadi:

✉️ Meaning, what has made you negligent and caused you to turn away from the admonition and reminder of Allah is the fact that you [love this present life] and strive for worldly benefits, pleasures and desires, and give it precedence over the hereafter.

💡Hence, you fail to strive for the hereafter, because the delights and pleasures of this world are quick and immediate, and man is fond of that which is immediate, while the eternal bliss of the hereafter is delayed (until after death).

⭕️It is for this reason that you are negligent about the hereafter, and ignore it as if you were not created for it, and as if this worldly life were the eternal life, for the sake of which you spend your precious lives striving for it night and day.

🔴 For such a person, the reality has been turned upside down, resulting in immense loss.

💎🤍 However, if you gave preference to the hereafter over this world, and looked at the consequences of actions with insight and wisdom, you would have been successful, prospered, and made profits without any loss, and you would have won a winning is untouched by misery.

Ramadan Daily Reflections 2024
💎| Juz 28 🌙 | What have you prepared for the Next Life..⁉️ |

[O you who believe, fear Allah, and let every soul consider what it has sent forth for tomorrow. And fear Allah, for verily Allah is well aware of all that you do.] (al-Hashr:18)

📖 Tafseer Al-Saadi:

🔆Here Allah enjoins His believing slaves to do that which is dictated by faith and fear of Him, secretly and openly, in all situations, and to pay attention to what Allah enjoins upon them of commands, laws and limits, and to think of what they have achieved and where they failed, and what they have attained of deeds that will benefit them or harm them on the Day of Resurrection.

📖This Ayah urges all people to reflect on their deeds and what the outcome thereof may be on the Day of Judgement.

If they make the hereafter their main concern and primary focus, and concentrate their intentions on it, they will strive hard in doing a lot of good deeds that will help them to reach it, and they will rid themselves of distractions and obstacles that will halt or hinder their efforts, or divert them.

📝If they also know that Allah is aware of what they are doing, and that their deeds are not hidden from Him and no good deed will go unnoticed by Him, that will make them strive hard.

📔This verse offers a guideline with regard to taking account of oneself, and reminds the believer that he should continue to check on himself and if he sees any lapse, he must take action by giving it up, repenting sincerely and turning away from any means that may lead to it.

📍If he sees himself falling short with regard to any divine command, he should strive hard and seek the help of his Lord in completing it, perfecting it and doing it properly.

🔎He should compare the blessings that Allah has bestowed generously upon him with his shortcomings, for that will undoubtedly make him feel embarrassed.

Ramadan Daily Reflections 💎 | 2024
Juz 27🌙| Soften the heart with Allah’s remembrance 💗

[Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allāh and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.](Al-Ḥadīd: 16)

📚 Tafseer Al-Saadi:

🤍🩷 Has the time not come when their hearts should soften and be humbled at mention of Allah and the reminder which is the Qur'an, and to submit to His commands and prohibitions, and what has been revealed of the truth, which has been brought by Muhammad

🕯️💞 This is urging the believers to strive hard to make their hearts humble before Allah and to accept what He has sent down of the Book and wisdom, and to pay heed to divine admonition and Islamic rulings at all times, and to constantly take account of themselves accordingly.

🔴🪨 [and they should not be like those who were given the Book before, whose hearts grew hard with the passage of time]
; they should not be like those to whom Allah sent down scripture that should have caused them to soften their hearts and submit fully to Allah's will, but they did not persist in following it and were not steadfast in adhering to it. Rather as time went by they became heedless, so their faith diminished and their certainty faded.[And many of them were evildoers;]

🩵🌧️For the heart needs to be reminded at all times of that which Allah sent down and it needs to be refreshed with words of wisdom.

☔️ It is not appropriate to be careless about this matter, because that leads to hardheartedness and not being able to weep (with fear of Allah).

Juz 26🌙| 🪢 Closer than your jugular vein 🫀

[And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than (his) jugular vein.] (Qāf: 16)

📚 Tafseer Al-Saadi:

🔵 Here Allah tells us that He is the only Creator of humankind, male and female, and that He knows his situations, what he keeps secret in his heart, his thoughts, and what his soul whispers to him.

♥️ He is [closer to him than his jugular veins], which is the closest thing to a person; the jugular veins are the veins on both sides of the neck.

💭🍃 This is a reminder to the person to remember that his Creator is always watching him; He sees what is in his heart and mind, and what is inside him, and He is close to him in all situations.

🥀 So he should feel shy, lest Allah see him where He forbade him to be, or He not see him where He commanded him to be.
