A research study is being conducted by YYAS 24' alumna Eldana Million. We encourage you to take a moment to fill out the form.

Do You Trust AI in Hospitals?

This survey aims to explore public perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, particularly within hospitals in Addis Ababa. We are examining how people feel about AI's role in diagnosing illnesses, recommending treatments, and assisting medical professionals. Your feedback will help us understand the acceptance and concerns surrounding AI in healthcare systems.

Bahir Amal are conducting research on the challenges students face during their journey to study abroad. While there are countless so-called educational consultancies these days, many of them only assist with application submissions and provide little support beyond that. Our research aims to identify the specific challenges students encounter, so we can find more effective ways to simplify the process.

You can take courses in every university in Education city if you are accepted to one. There are research centers with a lot of funding you can take part of in the summer ( 1.5 B $ fund for research) The degree certificates are exactly the same with the main campuses and helps you to find jobs.
You can travel to different countries and semester abroad in the main campus student housing is really cool [ dorm tour, ECvideo ]
housing website
Qatar Foundation Website

Financial Aid

CMU and GU don't have any loans and they are fully need blind so I recommend applying to 2 of them the most!

Northwestern gives merit scholarships which are full ride for most of the accepted students so apply for Merit if you are applying to Northwestern

The other 4 universities include loans in their aid package and they will take percentage of monthly salary after that but still the loan amount is so small which can be repaid in small time. And they have a policy to forgive loans based on academics

Financial aid website is the same just follow financial aid link from their common app pages for more specific info about their aid

Application
Their admission websites are also on their common app pages for those not on common app you can use these links

We encountered questions during our session with Mikiyas, so we're providing insights into each admission process

Here’s a breakdown :

🎯Early Decision (ED) 1:

A binding early application process.

If you apply ED and are accepted, you must attend that school and withdraw other applications.

Timeline: deadline is in early November, and decisions are released in December.

🎯Early Decision (ED) 2:

Similar to ED 1 but typically offered by schools with a second round of early decision.

It is also binding, meaning you have to attend if accepted.

Timeline: deadline is usually later than ED 1, often in January, with decisions released in February.

🎯Restrictive Early Action (REA):

Non-binding early admission option that restricts students from applying to other private colleges early (though not public institutions).

Timeline: typically due in early November, with decisions released in December.

🎯Early Action (EA):

A non-binding early application process. Students can apply early and receive their admissions decisions sooner but are not required to attend if accepted.

Timeline: Similar to ED, with deadlines often in November and decisions released in December.

🎯Regular Admission:

A standard application process where students can apply by a specific deadline (usually in January or February) and receive admission decisions in the spring.

Timeline: Deadlines and notification dates vary by institution, but they generally fall between January and March.

🎯Rolling Admission:

An admission process where colleges evaluate applications as they are received rather than waiting until a specific deadline to review them.

Timeline: Students can apply at any time until the program is filled, and decisions are typically communicated to applicants within a few weeks of submission.

Key Differences

Binding vs. Non-Binding: ED is binding (you commit to attending if accepted), while EA, REA, and regular admission are non-binding.

Timeline: ED typically has the earliest deadlines, while regular admission is usually later.

Restrictions: REA places some restrictions on applying to other private schools early, while EA does not.

Understanding these can help you strategize your college applications effectively!

Good luck to all applicants
