Protection From Evil Of Envy & The Eye

Shaykh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:

❝The person seeking protection from the evil of Hassad [envy] and from the evil of ‘Ain [evil eye], can do so:

1) With reliance upon Allaah, the Magnificent and Majestic. In doing so, he does not give any attention to these matters, nor does he give them any value or weight and he therefore turns away from them.

2) By using the beneficial Dua and remembrance of Allaah which is found in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, since it is the best protection for a person as is established from the Prophet [ﷺ] regarding Ayaat-ul Kursi. He said:

Yahya ibn Mu’adh said: “What a bad brother is one whom you need to tell: ‘Remember me in your duas.’”

Most people today are merely acquaintances.
It is rare to find a true friend, even outwardly.
As for true (sincere) brotherhood and friendship, that is something abrogated, do not hope for it.

I do not see that a person can have pure sincerity from his blood brother, his child, or even his spouse. So abandon the hope for pure loyalty.

Keep your distance from everyone and deal with them as if they were strangers.

Beware of being deceived by someone who shows you affection, for with time, the flaws in what he shows will become apparent to you.

Al Fudhayl said: “If you want to befriend a friend, anger him. If you find him as he should be, then befriend him.”

But today, this is risky, because if you anger someone, he immediately becomes your enemy.

Two Things That Lead Most To Either Hellfire Or Paradise

They (the Companions) replied: “Allāh and His Messenger know best.”

THE MOST DIFFICULT 3 DAYS UPON MANKIND

Sufyān b. 'Uyaynah Raḥimahullāh said: the most loneliest time that the son of Adam will be in is 3 situations:

1. The day he is born and comes to the abode of stress and anxiety (i.e. The world).

2. The night he will sleep with the deceased, so he will live beside neighbors he has never seen the likes of (i.e. The grave).

3. The day he will be raised up (from the dead) and he will witness the likes of that which he never witnessed before (i.e. The Day of Judgement).

"May peace and safety be upon him, the day he is born, the day he dies and the day he will be brought back to life"
