The 26th WOAH Regional Commission for Africa conference is going well.

Here is me standing between H.E. Dr Karim Tounkara WOAH Regional Representative for Africa and Dr. Alemayehu Mekonnen, Senior advisor to the State minister and former CVO of Ethiopia. The two senior Veterinarians told me that through the experience of Rinderpest eradication Pan-African program for PPR eradication is possible through the continued funding from supporting partners including EU, contribution from member countries and the strong partnership between AU-IBAR, WOAH, FAO and other international development partners.

ዛሬም እንደተለመደው 5ኛው ዙር  ሳምንታዊው የ-UoG የ-እንስሳት ጤና እና ደህንነት የ-Webinar Program  በ-ዕለተ ዕሮብ ፣ በቀን 28 (February 5) ከምሽቱ 1:00 ላይ በ-telegram ቻናላችን  (@animalwelfarewecare) በ-online የሚካሄድ ይሆናል።

በ-ዕለቱም ተጋባዥ የክብር እንግዳችን ዶክተር ብሩ እንሰኔ (DVM, MBA, MSc 8n ECCM) ሲሆን ለታዳሚያን በሚከተሉት አርዕሳናት ላይ ሰፋ ያለ ማብራሪያን ይደሰኩሩልናል።

1- ስለ-እንስሳት ጤና እና ደህንነት ተሞክሯቸውን መሠረት አድርገው ሰፋ ያለ ገለፃ ይሰጡናል።

2- ስለ-ጋማ ከብቶች አጠቃላይ ባህሪያት እና እንዴት አድርገን Handle ማድረግ እንዳለብን የሚነግሩን ይሆናል።

3- ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ የ-እንስሳት ጤና እና ደህንነት በሚያስፈልገው ልክ እንዳይከናወን እና እንዳይሰራ ምክንያት ስለሆኑ መሰናክሎች እና እንዴትስ አድርገን መቅረፍ እና አስፈላጊውን ነገር ማድረግ እንችላለን ስለሚሉት ጉዳዮች የእሳቸውን ተሞክሮ እና ምክር የሚያጋሩን ይሆናል።

ስለሆነም ክቡራት እና ክቡራን ይሄንን መልዕክት የምታነቡ ሁሉ ከላይ የተጠቀሱትን እና ሌሎች ከላይ የተጠቀሱትን መሰል ሌሎች ሀሳቦችን በተጠቀሰው  ሰዐት (1:00LT) እና በተባለው የ-telegram platform በመታደም የዕድሉ ተቋዳሽ ይሆኑ ዘንድ ከወዲሁ ለመግለጽ እንወዳለን።

Collaborations among Countries, Regional and International Organizations Enhances Animal Health

Ethiopia hosts the 26th Conference of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Regional Commission for Africa with the theme: "Animal health for food and nutritional security and public health in Africa."

Ethiopia welcomed delegates from across Africa and beyond for the 26th Conference of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Regional Commission for Africa.

Opening remarks, Temesgen Tiruneh, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) of Ethiopia said Africa's rich resources yet ongoing struggles with food security and economic stability.

Temesgen underscored Ethiopia's commitment to agriculture, noting that it constitutes one of the country's five economic pillars and comprises a significant portion of the economy.

He pointed out that Ethiopia has the largest and diversified livestock resources in Africa
and efforts are being made to develop the sector.

The conference served as a platform for discussing the opportunities and challenges posed by animal diseases, which have significant impacts on productivity and public health, he mentioned.

Temesgen called for enhanced collaboration among countries and international organizations like WOAH in addressing these challenges.

Ethiopia's strategic initiative, Yelemat Tirufat, aim to improve agricultural productivity and job creation while focusing on animal health interventions, he states.

The conference is expected to produce recommendations to strengthen veterinary services and harmonize sanitary regulations across member countries, as to DPM.

The DPM concluded by expressing Ethiopia's readiness to partner with various stakeholders to achieve the conference's objectives, emphasizing the need for collaboration and innovation in promoting animal health and welfare.

The conference will continue to explore solutions to enhance food security and support economic growth through improved animal health practices, as to DPM.

Ethiopian Minister of Agriculture, Girma Amente (PhD) remarks that Ethiopia is endowed with huge livestock resources that placed it on the top of African countries.

But there are different problems such as shortage of feeds and wide spread of animal disease that reduce production and productivity, according to the Minister.

Most animal health problems have a negative impact on public health and affects the export of livestock products, he says.

To overcome the problems, we have to improve veterinary services of the country to the standard set by WOAH and implement National disease control and eradication programs like PPR, and Rabies, Girma pointed out.

Yelemat Tirufat Initiative implying the provision of sufficient, balanced foods to the people with emphasis on proteins of animal origin that is showing promising results, as to him.

Ethiopia recognizes the critical role of veterinary services in safeguarding the health and well being of livestock and wildlife populations, he states.

Professionals are working tirelessly to prevent and control diseases, conducting vaccination campaigns, disease surveillance, regulatory and others, as to the Minister.

By prioritizing animal health, we are not only protect the livelihoods of farmers but also mitigate the risk of zoonotic disease and safeguard public health, he concludes.

በሌማት ትሩፋት መርሃ ግብር፣ በመኖ አቅርቦትና ጥራትን ለማሻሻል በሰራነው ስራ በንጥረ ነገረ የበለፀገ ምግብ በማምረት የአመጋገብ ስርዓታችንን ለማሻሻል እና የእንስሳት ጤና እንዲጠበቅ ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ አበርክቷል፡፡

እንደ አህጉር የሚፈትነንን የእንስሳት በሽታ ለመከላከልም ብሔራዊ የእንስሳት ጤና ጥበቃ ኢንስቲትዩትን ከማቋቋም አንስቶ ድንበር ዘለል የእንስሳት በሽታዎችን ለመቆጣጠርና ለመከላከል የሚያስችሉ ተግባራትን አከናውነናል፡፡

የእንስሳት ሕክምና አገልግሎት እንዲጠናከር በእንስሳት እና በእንስሳት ተዋጽኦ ንግድ ዘርፍ ያሉ የጤና አጠባበቅ ህግጋት መከበር ላይ እንደዚህ ያሉ ጉባኤዎች ከፍተኛ ሚና ስለሚኖራቸው ይህ ትብብር ተጠናክሮ ሊቀጥል ይገባል፡፡

What a absolute honor to meet H.E. Dr Allan Azegele, the Keneya Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) and the key precessional in the Kenya Veterinary Statuary Body. We exchanged ideas on how Ethiopia can make it in establishing the Veterinary Statuary Body and many areas to the Ethiopian and Kenyan livestock sector.

The first day center on AMR and WOAH disease prioritization criteria. Countries AMR report mechanism. Some countries shared there experience in veterinary service and how they finance the livestock sector.

The first day of the 26th Conference of the WOAH Regional Commission for Africa (RC26) is going well — in the sideline I had a pleasure of meeting H.E. Dr Yoseph Shiferaw Mamo (PhD); Senior Fisheries and Livestock Officer at Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). We discussed and shared common interest and value to the development of Ethiopia’s livestock sector. Thank you so much for the motivation to our initiatives.

ኢትዮጵያ በአፍሪካ ላይ በእንስሳት ጤና እና የህብረተሰብ ጤና ላይ ያላት አስተዋፅዖ ይታወቃል። ይህ ኮንፈረንስ ኢትዮጵያን እንደ ክልሉ መሪ አካል ለማሳየት ይረዳል።

2. ዕውቀት እና ቴክኖሎጂ ልውውጥ

የእንስሳት ጤና፣ የበሽታ መከላከል፣ እና ዘመናዊ የበሽታ መቆጣጠሪያ ዘዴዎች በባለሙያዎች መካከል ይጋራታል። ይህ ኢትዮጵያን በቴክኖሎጂ እና እውቀት ላይ ያጠናክራታል።

3. ኢኮኖሚያዊ ጥቅም

የተለያዩ አገሮች ተወካዮች በሚገኙበት ጊዜ የቱሪዝም፣ ማረፊያ፣ እና የትራንስፖርት አገልግሎቶች ገቢ ይጨምራል። ይህ የአካባቢ ኢኮኖሚያትን ያበረታታል።

4. የጋራ ተቋማት ግንኙነት

6. እንደ አፍሪካ ተላላፊ በሽታዎች ላይ የተጠናከረ ትግል ለማድረግ ይረዳል
የሚተላለፉ በሽታዎች (zoonotic diseases) የመሳሰሉ አስፈላጊ ጉዳዮች ላይ የአፍሪካ አገሮች በጋራ እርምጃ እንዲወስዱ እድል ይፈጥራል።

Treating animals with kindness and love should be our priority not only as pet and livestock owners, but also as human beings. The way we treat animals reflects on the kind of people we are. When we show compassion to animals it teaches us how to be kind to one another. Animals are innocent beings filled with love, that have no voice to tell us how much our actions affect them. When we deprive them of their basic needs such as food and shelter, and combine it with neglect and abuse then we are in violation of their welfare.

Animal welfare has a broad meaning but basically comprises the sense of physical and psychological wellbeing of animals. It considers the effects of the environment on the behavior of an animal. This includes aspects like physical health, nutrition, shelter, and comfort, as well as mental states such as freedom from fear, pain, and distress. It also involves ensuring that animals have the opportunity to exhibit natural behaviors and experience positive emotions. Fundamentally, animal welfare is about treating animals with respect and ensuring they live a good life.

Animals can display various signs when they're not feeling well. They might seem less active, have a reduced appetite, or exhibit unusual behaviors. Physical signs can include injuries, poor coat condition, or weight loss. Additionally, animals may suffer from underlying health problems that aren't instantly obvious. By recognizing these signs and providing veterinary care, we can help ensure the well-being of our animal companions.

A Voice to the Voiceless!

5ኛው ዙር የ-3-H Initiative Program በ- ወርሃ ህዳር መጨረሻ በዕለተ ቅዳሜ ፣ በቀን 28 (December 07, 2024 Gregorian Calendar) ከጠዋቱ 3:00 ሰዓት ጀምሮ በ-CVMA አዳራሽ (CVMA Main Hall) የሚካሄድ ይሆናል።

በ-ዕለቱም ተጋባዥ የክብር እንግዳችን ዶክተር ሳለሀዲን አሊ በቦታው በመገኘት ለታዳሚያን በሚከተሉት አርዕሳናት ላይ ሰፋ ያለ ማብራሪያን ይሰጡናል።

1- የእንስሳት ሀኪሞች ከተመረቁ በኋላ ምን ምን ላይ መሰማራት እና መስራት ይችላሉ የሚሉትን ካካበቱት ልምድ በመነሳት ተሞክሯቸውን ያጋሩናል።

2- የግቢ ህይወት ቆይታቸው ምን ይመስል እንደነበረ ፣ በቆይታቸው ያገኟቸውን በረከቶች እና ያልሰሩባቸው ግን ብሰራቸው ኖሮ ከዚህም በተሻለ የተሻለ እሆን ነበር ብለው እንዲያስቡ ያደረጓቸውን ነገሮች

3- እንዴት አድርገን የ-Poultry Farm እና የእንስሳት መኖ ማቀነባበሪያ ከመመረቃችን በፊት እና ከተመረቅን በኋላ መክፈት እና መስራት እንችላለን ስለሚሉት ጉዳዮች የሚነግሩን ይሆናል።

One Health is an approach that recognizes the connection between the health of people, animals, and the environment.
One Health is needed for different reasons. Some of them are;
1.Shared Environment:
Humans, animals, and plants share the same environment. If one group gets sick or the environment is polluted, it can affect others.
2.Zoonotic Diseases:
Many diseases, like COVID-19, rabies, and TB, spread between animals and humans.
3.Food Security:
Healthy animals provide safe food like milk, meat, and eggs. Protecting animal health ensures humans have safe food to eat.
5.Environmental Issues:
Problems like deforestation, pollution, and climate change harm ecosystems and can cause new diseases to emerge. It ensures that the health of people, animals, and the planet are treated as interconnected, which is key for preventing crises like pandemics and ensuring long-term well-being.

ከእንስሳት ወደ ሰው የሚተላለፍ በሽታ

ዞኖሲስ (zoonotic disease or zoonoses -plural) ከእንስሳት ወደ ሰው (ወይም ከሰዎች ወደ እንስሳት) ዝርያዎች መካከል የሚተላለፍ ተላላፊ በሽታ ነው።

እነዚህ ኢንፌክሽኖች የሚከሰቱት እንደ ቫይረሶች፣ ባክቴሪያዎች፣ ጥገኛ ተውሳኮች እና ፈንገሶች ባሉ ጀርሞች ነው።አንዳንዶቹ ከባድ እና ለሕይወት አስጊ ናቸው፣ እንደ እብድ ውሻ ያሉ፣ እና ሌሎች ደግሞ ቀለል ያሉ እና በራሳቸው ሊድኑ ይችላሉ።

**ከእንስሳት ግንኙነት ጋር የተዛመዱ በሽታዎች

🦠የውሻ ዕብደት በሽታ
ራቢስ በአጥቢ እንስሳት የነርቭ ሥርዓት ላይ የሚያጠቃ በሽታ ነው። በቫይረስ የሚመጣ ሲሆን በተለምዶ በበሽታው የተያዘ እንስሳ ሌላ እንስሳ ወይም ሰው ነክሶ ይተላለፋል።

ራቢስ ገዳይ በሽታ ነው; ምልክቶች ከታዩ በኋላ ሊታከም አይችልም. እንደ እድል ሆኖ, የእብድ ውሻ በሽታ በክትባት በተሳካ ሁኔታ መከላከል ይቻላል::

🦠ብሩሴሎሲስ
ብሩሴሎሲስ የተለያዩ የሰውነት አካላትን ሊጎዳ የሚችል የባክቴሪያ በሽታ ሲሆን ይህም የተለያዩ ምልክቶችን እና ህመሞችን ያመጣል።

🦠ኢ ኮላይ
ኢ ኮላይ በሰዎችና በእንስሳት አንጀት ውስጥ የሚገኙ የባክቴሪያዎች ቡድን ነው። አብዛኛዎቹ ዝርያዎች ምንም ጉዳት የላቸውም፤ ነገር ግን አንዳንድ ዝርያዎች በሰዎች ላይ በሽታ ሊያስከትሉ ይችላሉ.

🦠ጃርዲያሲስ
ጃርዲያሲስ በጥቃቅን ተውሳኮች ምክንያት የሚመጣ የአንጀት በሽታ ነው። በአማካይ በየዓመቱ ከ1,200-1,300 ሪፖርት የተደረጉ የተቅማጥ በሽታዎችን ያስከትላል።

🦠ሃንታቫይረስ
Hantaviruses በአብዛኛው በአይጦች የተሸከሙ ተዛማጅ ቫይረሶች ቤተሰብ ናቸው። ማንኛውም ሰው በሃንታቫይረስ ሊይዝ ይችላል፣ ነገር ግን ከአይጥ ወይም ከአይጥ ከተጠቁ አካባቢዎች ጋር ግንኙነት ያላቸው ሰዎች የመታመም ዕድላቸው ከፍተኛ ነው።

🦠ኪው ፊቨር

Q ፊቨር በባክቴሪያ የሚከሰት በሽታ ነው። ምንም እንኳን የተለያዩ እንስሳት ሊበከሉ ቢችሉም ከብቶች, በጎች እና ፍየሎች አብዛኛውን ጊዜ ባክቴሪያዎችን ይይዛሉ።

🦠 ሳልሞኔሎሲስ
የሳልሞኔላ ባክቴሪያ በአካባቢው በሁሉም ቦታ ሊገኝ ይችላል። ሳልሞኔላ በጨጓራና አንጀት ላይ በሽታ የተለመደ ምክንያት ነው።

🦠መዥገሮች እና ትንኞች
መዥገሮች እና ትንኞች በሽታን ወደ ሰዎች ሊያስተላልፉ ይችላሉ። ከእነዚህ በሽታዎች ለመዳን ከመዠገር እና ትንኞች ንክሻ መከላከል ዋናው ነገር ነው።

🦠ታይፈስ
ታይፈስ ቁንጫዎች ካላቸው ትናንሽ አጥቢ እንስሳት ጋር በመገናኘት የሚተላለፍ በሽታ ነው። ሰዎች የተበከለው ቁንጫ ቆዳ ላይ ሲያርፍ በሽታውን ያሰራጫል።

🦠ጀርሞች በእንስሳትና በሰዎች መካከል እንዴት ይተላለፋሉ?

በሰዎችና በእንስሳት መካከል ባለው የጠበቀ ግንኙነት ምክንያት ሰዎች የዞኖቲክ በሽታዎችን ሊያስከትሉ በሚችሉ ጀርሞች ሊያዙ የሚችሉባቸውን የተለመዱ መንገዶች ማወቅ አስፈላጊ ነው። እነዚህም የሚከተሉትን ሊያካትቱ ይችላሉ፡

🦠ቀጥተኛ ግንኙነት ፡ ከእንስሳት ምራቅ፣ ደም፣ ሽንት፣ ተቅማጥ፣ ሰገራ ወይም ሌላ የሰውነት ፈሳሽ ጋር መገናኘት። ምሳሌዎች የቤት እንስሳትን መንካት እና ንክሻዎች ወይም ጭረቶች ያካትታሉ።

🦠ቀጥተኛ ያልሆነ ግንኙነት ፡ እንስሳት በሚኖሩበት እና በሚንቀሳቀሱበት አካባቢ ወይም በጀርሞች ከተበከሉ ነገሮች ጋር መገናኘት። ለምሳሌ የውሃ ታንክ፣ የቤት እንስሳት መኖሪያዎች፣ የዶሮ ማደያዎች፣ ጎተራዎች፣ እፅዋት እና አፈር፣ እንዲሁም የቤት እንስሳት ምግብ እና የውሃ ምግቦች ያካትታሉ።

🦠በቬክተር ወለድ፡ በመዥገር ወይም እንደ ትንኝ ወይም ቁንጫ ባሉ ነፍሳት መነከስ።

🦠ምግብ ወለድ፡- እንደ ያልቸፈላ (ጥሬ) ወተት፣ ያልበሰለ ስጋ ወይም እንቁላል፣ ወይም በተበከለ እንስሳ በሰገራ የተበከሉ ጥሬ ፍራፍሬ እና አትክልቶች ያሉ ደህንነቱ ያልተጠበቀ ነገር መብላት ወይም መጠጣት። የተበከለ ምግብ የቤት እንስሳትን ጨምሮ በሰዎች እና በእንስሳት ላይ ህመም ሊያስከትል ይችላል.

🦠ውሃ ወለድ፡- በተበከለ እንስሳ ሰገራ የተበከለ ውሃ መጠጣት ወይም መገናኘት።

** በ zoonotic በሽታዎች ለከባድ ሕመም ከፍተኛ ተጋላጭ የሆነው ማን ነው?

ጤናማ ሰዎችን ጨምሮ ማንኛውም ሰው በ zoonotic በሽታ ሊታመም ይችላል። ሆኖም፣ አንዳንድ ሰዎች ከሌሎቹ በበለጠ ለአደጋ የተጋለጡ ናቸው እናም እራሳቸውን ወይም የቤተሰብ አባላትን ለመጠበቅ እርምጃዎችን መውሰድ አለባቸው። እነዚህ ሰዎች ከሌሎቹ በበለጠ ለመታመም አልፎ ተርፎም በአንዳንድ በሽታዎች በመያዝ የመሞት እድላቸው ከፍተኛ ነው። እነዚህ የሰዎች ቡድኖች የሚከተሉትን ያካትታሉ:

🦠ከ5 አመት በታች ያሉ ህፃናት
🦠ከ 65 ዓመት በላይ የሆኑ አዋቂዎች
🦠የተዳከመ የበሽታ መቋቋም ስርዓት ያላቸው ሰዎች
🦠እርጉዝ ሴቶች

*** እራስዎን እና ቤተሰብዎን ከ zoonotic በሽታዎች ለመጠበቅ ምን ማድረግ ይችላሉ?

ሰዎች በብዙ ቦታዎች ከእንስሳት ጋር ሊገናኙ ይችላሉ። ይህም በቤት ውስጥ እና ከቤት ውጭ፣ እንደ የቤት እንስሳት መካነ አራዊት፣ ትርኢቶች፣ ትምህርት ቤቶች፣ መደብሮች እና መናፈሻ ቦታዎች ላይ ያካትታል።

እንደ ትንኞች እና ቁንጫዎች ያሉ ነፍሳት እና መዥገሮች ቀንና ሌሊት ሰዎችን እና እንስሳትን ይነክሳሉ።

*** ደስ የሚለው ነገር እራስዎን እና ቤተሰብዎን ከ zoonotic በሽታዎች ለመጠበቅ ማድረግ የሚችሏቸው ነገሮች አሉ።

🦠 እጆችን በንጽህና ይያዙ .

ምንም አይነት እንስሳትን ባይነኩ እንኳን ከመታመም እና ጀርሞችን ወደሌሎች ከማስተላለፍ ለመዳን ሊወስዷቸው ከሚችሉት በጣም አስፈላጊ እርምጃዎች አንዱ መታጠብ ነው።ብዙ ተህዋሲያን የሚተላለፉት እጅን በሳሙና በአግባቡ ባለመታጠብ እና በሚፈስ ውሃ ነው።

ሳሙና እና ውሃ በቀላሉ የማይገኙ ከሆነ ቢያንስ 60% አልኮል የያዘ አልኮል ላይ የተመሰረተ የእጅ ማጽጃ መጠቀም ይችላሉ።ምክንያቱም የእጅ ማጽጃዎች ሁሉንም አይነት ጀርሞች አያስወግዱም፤ ከተገኙ እጅዎን በሳሙና እና በውሃ መታጠብ አስፈላጊ ነው።

በቤት ውስጥ፣ ከቤት ርቀው (እንደ የቤት እንስሳት መካነ አራዊት ወይም ሌሎች የእንስሳት ኤግዚቢሽኖች ያሉ)፣ በህጻናት እንክብካቤ መስጫ ቦታዎች ወይም ትምህርት ቤቶች እና በሚጓዙበት ጊዜ ስለ zoonotic በሽታዎች ይጠንቀቁ። ከእንስሳት ንክሻ እና ጭረት ያስወግዱ።

ኢትዮ የእንስሳት መኖ ማቀነባበሪያ

የቀዳማዊ ኃይለስላሴ ድንኳ ውሻ "ሉሉ"

ሉሉ የጃንሆይ ድንክ ውሻ ነበረች ፤ ይቺ ድንክ ውሻ አቶ ጀማነህ አላብሰው ተማሪ በነበሩበት ጊዜ በ1942 ዓ.ም ለጃንሆይ ያበረከቷት ነች።

በተበረከተችበት ጊዜ ጃንሆይ ስሟ ማነው ብለው ቢጠይቁ ግለሰቡ ያልተዘጋጁበት ጉዳይ ስለነበር አፋቸው ላይ እንደመጣ " ሉሉ ነው" ብለው መለሱላቸው። ከዚህ ወቅት አንስቶ የውሻዋ ስም ሉሉ ሆኖ ቀረ። ይህች ድንክ ውሻ የተለየችና አቶ ጀማነህ ከየት አምጥተው እንዳሰደጔት በእርግጥ የሚያውቅ ሰው አልተገኘም። ይሁንና የነቃችና ብልህ ውሻ ስለነበረች ለብዙ ጊዜ ሉሉን ከውጭ ሀገር ጉብኝታቸው ጭምር ሣያስቀድሙ ንጉሰ ነገስቱ አይሄዱም ነበር። ጃንሆይ ሉሉን ሳያስከትሉ የሚሄዱበት ቦታ ቤተክርስቲያን ብቻ ነበር።ጃንሆይ አውስትራሊያን ለመጉብኘት ሲሄዱ የሀገሩ ህግ እንሰሳ እንዲገባ ስለማይፈቅድ ሉሉ ልትገባ ባለመቻልዋ አንድ የቤተመንግስት ባለሥልጣን ሉሉን ይዞ ወደሚቀጥለው የጉብኝት ሀገር ደቡብ ኮሪያ ሄዳ ጃንሆይ እዛ ሲደርሱ አስረክቧል።

ጃንሆይ ከአውሮፓላን ከመውረዳቸው በፊት ሉሉ ትወርድና የራሷን ጉብኝት ታደርጋለች። ውድድር ለመመልከት ወደ ስታዲየም ሲመጡ ቀጥ ብላ ኳስ ሜዳ መካከሉ ትሄድና ተመልሣ እስራቸው ትተኛለች። በተለይ በኢትዮጵያና በግብጽ መካከል በ 1954 ዓ.ም በተደረገው በ3ተኛው የአፍሪካ ዋንጫ የመጨረሻ ግጥሚያ ዕለት ሜዳው ውስጥ ገብታ እንዲያውም ጉል መግቢያው ድረስ መመለሷን እንደ ትልቅ ነገር የሚያወሱ ሰዋች አሉ ፤ይህንን ሁሉ የሚመለከት ሰው ይህች ውሻ ነገር ያላት ናት እያለ ይናገራል።

ሉሉን የሚወዷት ሰዋች የመኖራቸውን ያህል የሚጠሏትም ብዙዋች ነበሩ ፤ በተለይ የዮኒቨርቲቱ ተማሪዎች ጃንሆይ ለምርቃት በዓል ሲመጡ የእሷ አብሮ መምጣት አይጥማቸውም ነበር። እሷም ከመካከላቸው እየገባች ታነፈንፍ ስለነበር አንድ አመት ላይ አንድ ምሩቅ ሰው ረገጣትና ጮህች ፤ በዚህ ጊዜ አጃቢዎች ረጋጩን ተማሪ ለመለየት ብዙ ቢሞክሩም ሌሎች ተማሪዎች ስለሸፈኑለት ተማሪው ሳይለይ ነገሩ እንዲሁ በቅሬታ ታለፈ፤ " ባለቤቱን ካልናቁ ውሻውን አይነኩም " እንደሚባለው ጃንሆይን ካልናቁ ወይም ካልጠሉ ውሻውን አይነኩም በሚል ውሻዎን ሁሉ ሰው ያከብር ነበር።

አንድ ጊዜ ኮረኔል ተክሉ ገብሩ ሻምበል በነበሩበት ወቅት ተግባረዕድ ትምህርት ቤት የራዲዮ ኮሙኒኬሽን ትምህርት ሲማሩ ጃንሄይ ትምህርት ቤቱን ለመጉብኘት ሲመጡ መኮንኑ እግር ስር ሉሉ መጥታ ስላስቸገረቻቸውና ጃንሆይም በቅርቡ ስለነበር ውሻዋን " ወይጅ " ማለት ስለፈሩ "ወይዱ" ስላሉ ጔደኛቻቸው " ወይዱ " የሚል ቅፅል ስም ሰጥተዋቸው ነበር።

ሉሉ የወር ደሞዝ ተቆርጦላት በወር የአንድ ሻምበል ደምወዝ ብር 175 ታገኝ እንደነበር የታወቀው ጀነራል መንግስቱ ነዋይ ለገሃር በነበረው የጦር ካምፕ እስር ላይ በነበሩበት ወቅት ለአንድ ሻንበል " እኔ እዚህ ችግር ላይ የገባሁት ያንተን ደምወዝ ከአንድ የውሻ ደሞዝ እንዲሻል ለማረግ ብዬ ነበር " ብለው በመናገራቸው ነበር። ሞት አይቀርምና ሉሉ ስትሞት ቤተመንግስት ውስጥ ተቀብራ መቃብሯም በእብነበረድ ስለተሰራ ጃንሆይ ከተወቀሱበት ነገር አንዱ ሆኗል።

ለሙያዬ ምክንያት እንስሳት ቀናቸውን ዛሬ አስበናል

ዕለቱ መነሻውን እ.አ.አ በ1925 ወርሃ ማርች ያደረገ ሲሆን እንደ አለም ለ99 ጊዜ እንስሳት ለዚህ አለም ያላቸውን አበርክቶ በማሰብ ይከበራል፤ ይበልጡን ጥቅማቸው በማሰብ እኛም ለደህንነታቸው እንድንተጋ በማሳሰብ አለም በዚህ መልኩ ያስበዋል።

ሀገራችን ኢትዮጵያም የአምላክ ፍጥረት ለሆኑት እንስሳት ዕለቱን ማሰብ ከጀመረች 14 አመታትን እንዳስቆጠረች ይነገራል፤ ነገር ግን ስለ እyንስሳት በጎ አስተዋፅኦ ዘወትር ብናስብም።

እንደ VSF-Germany በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር አርሶ አደርና ከተማ ግብርና ኮሚሽን የእንስሳት ጤና ዲፓርትመንት ጋር በጋራ እ.አ.አ. ከ2022 ጀምሮ መተግበር የጀመርነውን የውሻ እብደት በሽታ የክትባት መስጠት እና የግንዛቤ መስጠት ፕሮጀክት ያሳካቸውን ጠንካራ ተሞክሮዎች እንዲሁም ተግዳሮቶች በዕለቱ ለተጋበዙ ተሳታፊዎች በተሞክሮነት ቀርቧል፤ በርካቶችም በሥራው መደሰታቸውን ተናግረዋል።

እንደ ሀገር የዚህን አመት የአለም የእንስሳት ቀን መሪ ቃል “ለኢኮኖሚ ብልፅግና የእንስሳትን ደህንነት ላይ ኢንቨስት እናድርግ” ሲሆን ይበልጡን ለእንስሳት ደህንነት ድጋፍ ማደግ ላይ ትኩረት አድርገናል።

ኢትዮ የዶሮ እርባታና ማማከር ሀላ/የተ/የግ ማህበር

99% የተሳካ ክትባት እንዴት ሊሰጡ ይችላሉ!
በዶ/ር ሳላሀዲን አሊ

1. ክትባቶች ከመሰጠትዎ በፊት ዶሮዎች ፍጹም የጤና ሁኔታ ላይ መሆናቸውን ያረጋግጡ።

2. ክትባቱ ከመድረሱ 1-2 ቀናት በፊት የመድሃኒት መስጠት ያቁሙ።

3. ለትልቅ ዶሮ እርባታዎች የመጠጫ እቃዎችን ለማሰራጨት እና የተሞሉትን መጠጫዎች በተቻለ ፍጥነት ለማምጣት ሁሉም ሰራተኞች መገኘት አለባቸው።

4. ለ 1-2 ሰአታት ዶሮዎች ሊጠሙ ይገባል። እንደ ዶሮዎች እድሜ እና የአየር ሁኔታ ይወሰናል። ዶሮዎች ከላይ ከተጠቀሱት ሰዓታት በላይ ሊጠሙም ይችላሉ።

5. በቂ የመጠጫ እቃ ሊኖር ይገባል። አንድ (1) የመጠጫ  ከ10-15 ዶሮዎች እንዲሰጥ ይመረጣል። ይህ በጣም አስፈላጊው የክትባት part ነው።

አንዳንድ አርቢዎች በፋርማቸው ውስጥ የተጠማዘዘ አንገት (torticollis) ማየት ሲጀምሩ ክትባቱ አልተሳካም ይላሉ። ይህ ሊሆን የቻለው ዶሮዎቹ የመጠጫ እቃዎች ማግኘት ባለመቻላቸው ነው ወይም ዶሮዎች በክትባት ወቅት በውጥረት ውስጥ ስላለፉ ነው።

6. የVaccine Failure ጊዜን ለመቀነስ የክትባት ጠርሙሱን ከበረዶ / ማቀዝቀዣ / ፍሪጅ ከማውጣቶ በፊት ሁሉም መዘጋጀቱን ያረጋግጡ።

7. ክትባቶቹ  ከተከፈቱ በኋላ በተቻለ ፍጥነት ክትባቶቹን ለመጠቀም ይሞክሩ። ክትባት ሲሰጡ መዘግየት የ titre ውስጥ መቀነስ ሊያስከትል ይችላል።  የክትባት ጊዜ ቅደም ተከተል ትክክለኛ መሆን አለበት።

8. ከውሃ መጠጫ ለመጠጣት ፍቃደኛ ያልሆኑትን ዶሮዎች በጥንቃቄ ያዙዋቸው እና የክትባቱን ጣዕም እንዲቀምሱ ምንቃራቸውን ወደ ውሃ መጠጫ ውስጥ ይንከሩት።

የጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የእንስሳት ህክምና እና ግብርና ኮሌጅ በዛሬዉ ዕለት 38 ተማሪዎችን በእንስሳት ህክምና ዘርፍ አስመርቋል። ዶ/ር አክሊሉ መርቅነህ የዚህ አመት ከፍተኛ ውጤት 3.98 በማምጣት የሜዳሊያ ሽልማት የወሰደ ሲሆን በሴቶች ዶ/ር ምህረት ዳምጠው 3.82 በማምጣት ተሸላሚ ሆናለች።

የዕለቱ የክብር እንግዳ የሆኑት ደ/ር ወዳጄነህ መሀረነ በበኩላቸው “ ዛሬ መስከም 25/2017 ዓ.ም. ነው ይህች የምረቃ ቀናችሁ በህይወታችሁ ዘመን በሙሉ ሀውልት ሆና ትቆማለች፡፡ምክንያቱም በትናንትና በነገ መሀል የምትገኝ የማትረሳና ምስክር የሆነች ቀን ናትና።እንደሚታወቀው ብዙ እንቅልፍ አልባ ሌሊቶችን አሳልፋችኋል ይህ ጥረታችሁ ደግሞ ወደ ከፍታ የሚወስድ ነው ፡፡ በመሆኑም የእኔ ምክር በህይወታችሁ ሁሉ ወደ ከፍታ የሚወስደውን መንገድ እንድትመርጡ ነው፡፡ ህይወታችሁ የምትወስኗቸው ውሳኔዎች ውጤት ነው፡፡ስለዚህ ወደ ከፍታው የሚወስደውን መንገድ ለመምረጥ በውሳኔዎቻችሁ ወቅት ተጠንቅቃችሁ ወስኑ፡፡ የተከበራችሁ ተመራቂ ተማሪዎች የትም ሀገር ሂዳችሁ ተማሩ ነገር ግን ሀገራችሁን ችላ አትበሉ፡፡'' የሚል መልዕክት አስተላልፈዋል፡፡
