በዛሬው እለት የሰመራ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አመራሮች 1 ሚሊየን ብር የሚገመት ዱቄት እና ዘይት በመሬት መንቀጥቀጥ ምክንያት ከቀያቸው ተፈናቅለው በሁለት መጠለያዎች ለሚገኙ የገቢ ረሱ ዞን: አዋሽ ፈንታሌ እና ዱለቻ አካባቢ ወገኖች የሚሆን ምግብነክ ድጋፍ ለተቋቋመው ግብረ ሀይል አስረክበዋል::

የዩኒቨርሲቲው የስነ-ምድር ሳይንስ ትምህርት ቤት ባለሙያዎች በአዋሽ ፈንታሌ እና ዱለቻ አካባቢዎች የመሬት መንቀጥቀጡ ከተከሰተበት መስከረም ወር ጀምሮ በተደጋጋሚ የመስክ ምልከታ በማድረግ መረጃ የመሰነድ: ለማህበረሰቡ የጥንቃቄ ግንዛቤ የማስጨጥ: የማወያየት እና ደህንነቱ ወደ ተጠበቀ አካባቢ በማስጠለሉ ሂደት ላይ ከሌሎች አካላት ጋር በመተባበር እየሰሩ መሆኑ ተገልጿል።

የ2017 ዓ.ም. የመጀመሪያ ወሰነ ትምህርት የማጠቃለያ ፈተና በኦንላይን መሰጠት ጀምሯል።

ሠመራ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የ2017 ትምህርት ዘመን የመጀመሪያ ወሰነ ትምህርት የማጠቃለያ ፈተና በዲጂታል መተግበሪያ (software) ከወረቀት ነፃ በሆነ መልኩ (Computer Based Exam) መፈተን ጀምሯል።
ዩኒቨርሲቲው ኮምፒውተርን መሰረት ያደረገ የማጠቃለያ ፈተና መስጠቱን አምና የጀመረ ሲሆን: ዘንድሮም በተደራጀ ሁኔታ 1ሺ 164 የ3ኛ እና 5ኛ አመት መደበኛ ተማሪዎችን እንደሚፈትን ገልጿል::
የበይነ መረብ ፈተና ጠቀሜታው እንደ ሀገር በትኩረት እየተሰራበት ያለውን የትምህርት ጥራት ለማረጋገጥ፣ ቀጣይነት ያለው የዘመነ የፈተና ስርዓት ለመዘርጋት እና ተበታትኖ በተለያዩ ኮሌጆች ይሰጥ የነበረውን ፈተና ወጥ በሆነ ሁኔታ በአንድ ማዕከል የወረቀትና ቀለም ወጪን የሚቀንስ አሰራር እንደሆነ ተገልጿል። ከዚህም በተጨማሪ ተቋሙ እየተገበራቸው ካሉት የዲጂታል ትራንስፎርሜሽን ተግባራት አንዱ የምዘና ስርዓትን ማዘመን ይገኝበታል።
Samara University Launches First Semester Final Exams Online. #Samara_University-January 09 /2025-Samara University has officially begun administering final exams for the 2017 academic year through a Computer-Based Online Exam platform. This initiative, which was introduced last year, has enabled 1,164 regular students from the 3rd and 5th years to participate in their exams in a structured and efficient manner.

Geologists from Samara University Assess Earthquake Impact in Awash Fentale and Dulecha Woreda. A team of geologists from Samara University’s School of Earth Science is conducting consultations and damage assessments for communities affected by the recent earthquake in Awash Fentale and Dulacha Woreda, Gabi Rasu Zone.

At Samara University,an important training has been given for Afar National Regional Industries(offices) on Basic Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS),from December 30, 2024, to January 3, 2025.

The training was aimed to enhance the skills of professionals attended from various regional industries/bureaus.

As one of the trainers said, Participants gained a solid foundation in GIS and GPS technologies, essential for effective decision-making and resource management from the hands-on training sessions at GIS and GPS labs, allowing participants to apply these tools for improved data analysis in their respective fields.

Participants expressed their gratitude to Samara University for this valuable opportunity, which significantly contributed to their professional development and underscores a commitment to fostering innovation and technology transfer in the Afar Region.

ለሰመራ ዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህራን ላለፉት ስድስት ቀናት ሲሰጥ የቆየው ሁለተኛው ዙር የስራ-ፈጠራ Entrepreneurship ስልጠና ዛሬ ተጠናቋል፡፡

በሁለት ዙር በድምሩ 90 የሚሆኑ መምህራን የወሰዱት ይህ ስልጠና በ MasterCard Foundation የገንዘብ ድጋፍ እና በ Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) ባለሙያዎች መሰጠቱ ተገልጿል፡፡

የተሻለ አፈፃፀም ያሳዩ መምህራን በቀጣይ የአሰልጣኝነት ስልጠና (training of trainers) ወስደው የክልሉን ወጣቶች እንዲያሰለጥኑ ይደረጋል ተብሏል::

The workshop serves not only as a platform for rigorous evaluation but also as a means of fostering the sharing of knowledge and experiences among researchers, evaluators, and staff.

Today, a significant workshop focused on Earthquake Awareness Across Sectors took place at Samara University, organized by the Research and Technology Transfer Vice President Office in collaboration with the School of Earth Science.

The event attended by members of the university community as well as representatives from various sectors from the regional government offices.

Participants engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at enhancing community awareness regarding earthquake risks and safety measures.

The workshop served as a platform for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration among local stakeholders, ultimately contributing to a more informed and prepared community in the face of natural disasters.

EtD-FaM Makerspace ፕሮጀክት ሴቶች የሙያ ስራ ሊማሩበት እና ሊሰሩበት የሚችሉበትን የመስሪያ ቦታዎች በተግባር ሳይንስ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ውስጥ ማቋቋም እና ማጎልበት ሲሆን: ኢትዮጵያ እና ጅቡቲ ያሉ አስተማሪዎች፣ ተመራማሪዎች እና መካከለኛና አነስተኛ ኢንተርፕራይዞች መካከል ትስስርን ለመፍጠር ያለመ ነው።

በአውደ ጥናት መክፈቻ እና መዝጊ ላይ ንግግር ያደረጉት የሰመራ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚደንት ዶ/ር መሀመድ ኡስማን ፕሮጀክቱን ወደ አፕላይድ ሳይንስ በሽግግር ላይ ላሉ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች በትክክለኛው ጊዜ የመጣ እውቀትን ከሚሰሩ እጆች ጋር የሚያገናኝ ሲሉ ገልጸውታል።

አውደ ጥናቱ “Empowering Hands, Empowering Minds” በሚል መሪ ሀሳብ የተካሄደ ሲሆን በታወቁ የውጪ እና የሀገር ውስጥ ምሁራን 15 ጥናታዊ ፅሁፎች የቀረቡበት እና Makerspace ልምድ ያካበቱ የዘርፉ ምሁራን የተመራ ተከታታይ ግንዛቤ ያላቸው ገለጻዎችና ውይይቶች ቀርበውበታል።

በዚህ አውደ ጥናት በፕሮጀክቱ የታቀፉ 5 ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች (ሰመራ፣ ድሬዳዋ፣ ወሎ፣ አርሲ እና ወለጋ) ተወካዮች ከሀገር ውስጥ እና ከአለም አቀፍ የጅቡቲ፣የጣሊያ፣ የጀርመን እና ኦስትሪያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ተወካዮች:እንዲሁም ከትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ዶ/ር ኤባ ሚጄና እና ዶ/ር ሰራዊት: የአርሲ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር ፈቃዱ ምትኩን ጨምሮ የፕሮጀክቱ አስተባባሪና ገምጋሚዎች ፕ/ር ዶ/ር-ኢንግ ቶማስ ቤንዝ: ዶ/ር ማርጋሬት ግፍሬር: ዶ/ር ማርዋ ቤን አሊ:ዶ/አሚና እና ተጋባዥ ባለ ድርሻ አካላት ተሳትፈውበታል::

ሰመራ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ወደ አፕላይድ ሳይንስ ዩኒቨርሲቲነት ለጀመረው ሽግግር የተዘጋጀ ፍኖተ ካርታ በአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ ፕሬዝዳንቱ ዶ/ር አብዱረህማን ከድር የቀረበ ሲሆን ለሌሎች የአፕላይድ ሳይንስ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ተሞክሮው ይጠቅም ዘንድ በመፅሐፍ ታትሞ ለተሳታፊውች ተሰጥቷል።

EtD-FaM Makerspace International Workshop Commences at Samara University.

Today marks the beginning of the Ethiopian-Djibouti Females at Makerspace (EtD-FaM) International Workshop at Samara University, running from November 20-21, 2024.

The workshop aims to empower female-focused makerspaces and foster collaboration among educators, researchers, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Ethiopia and Djibouti.

In the opening session, Mohammed Usman, PhD, President of Samara University, delivered welcoming remarks. Notable contributions were made via Zoom by Dr. Eba Mijena and Dr. Serawit from the Ethiopian Ministry of Education.

Dr. Abdurehman Kedir, Academic Affairs Vice President of Samara University, presented the university’s transition roadmap from a comprehensive to an applied science university.

The workshop gathers participants from five Ethiopian public universitie-:Samara, Dire Dawa, Wollo, Arsi, and Wollega-alongside international institutions including the University of Djibouti, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano,FACHHOCHSCHULE KÄRNTEN, and Hochschule Heilbronn.

Key international figures are also present, such as Prof. Dr.-Ing Tomas Benz, Workpackage Leader in the EtD-FaM project and Director of International Relations at Heilbronn University, Dr. Margareth Gfrerer, Education Scientist and External Evaluator for the EtD-FaM Project, Dr. Marwa Ben Ali, Senior Expert in the EtD-FaM Project from Free University of Bolzano, and Ms. Hannelore Schwabl, BITZ Fablab Manager at Free University of Bolzano. Dr. Fekadu Mitiku, President of Arsi University, along with vice-presidents of partner universities, researchers, lecturers, and invited guests from various applied universities, are also in attendance.

The workshop is organized under the motto “Empowering Hands, Empowering Minds” and features a series of insightful presentations and discussions led by prominent moderators.

The EtD-FaM International Workshop is set to continue tomorrow, providing further opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Board of Samara University convened today to evaluate the work plan accomplishment report for the 1st quarter of the budget year 2017 E.C.

The president of SU,Mohammed Usman(PhD), along with top leaders, presented a comprehensive report and then the meeting chaired by H.E. Mr. Sileshi Girma,Chairman of SU’s Board, with esteemed board members, engaged in a thorough evaluation of the report.

The meeting highlighted the university's notable progress in executing its plans compared to the previous year.
The board underscored the importance of the fast transitioning towards applied science,concentrating on areas of excellence i.e Dry-Land Agriculture, Tourism, and Mining.

Additionally, they emphasized the critical need to enhance efforts in producing quality graduates capable of successfully passing the national exit exam.

As the board reviewed and approved the 1st quarter report, it expressed optimism about the university's trajectory and its commitment to fostering a robust academic environment that prepares students for the challenges of the future.

Afar Diaspora Unites to Support Samara University's Talent Academy.

In a significant move to bolster educational opportunities in the Afar region, a Zoom meeting was convened with members of the Afar Diaspora to discuss sustainable support for the Afar Talent Academy at Samara University.

The meeting focused on enhancing the academic experience for students by addressing vital needs such as accommodation, access to a digital library, technological equipment, and other essential academic services.

A key highlight of the discussion was the introduction of the "3 for 1" support method, where three diaspora members will provide assistance for one student in the academy. This innovative approach aims to create a robust support system that empowers students to thrive in their academic pursuits.

The relationship between the Afar diaspora and Samara University has strengthened significantly following Dr. Mohammed Usman's visit to Canada and the USA last August, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

The meeting featured prominent participants from the Diaspora, and including Dr. Mohammed Usman, President of Samara University; Ato Abdu Hassen, Head of the Afar Education Bureau; and Mussa Adem, along with various coordinators, directors, and students from the academy.

Their collective commitment underscores a shared vision for a resilient and supportive educational environment for Afar youth.

As the Afar diaspora takes proactive steps to support their community, the initiative promises to create lasting impacts on the educational landscape of the region.

University Level 1st Round Seminar Presentation Workshop has Conducted.

Samara University’s Research, Publication, Ethics, and Dissemination Directorate conducted the university-level 1st round research seminar presentation workshop.

Dr. Teshager Dube, A/Director of the REPDD, explained that this workshop is the first of four research seminar presentation workshops scheduled to be held during this academic year.

In today's research seminar presentation workshop, five research projects are being presented, focusing on current phenomena,applied science and excellence areas.

The aim of the Workshop is to provide a platform for researchers to present their work, the exchange of feedback and ideas among participants, and the establishment of a foundation for future research initiatives. Participants will gain valuable insights into contemporary research topics, while contributing to the university's mission of promoting excellence in applied sciences and enhancing its academic reputation.

#ሰመራዩኒቨርሲቲ_ጥቅምት 15/2017 ዓ/ም
የሰመራዩኒቨርሲቲ ተማሪዎች ህብረት ምክር ቤት በተማሪዎች ህብረት አደረጃጀት ምርጫ መመሪያ ቁጥር 003/2012 መሰረት አዲስ የስራ አፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት ምርጫ አካሂዷል::

በምርጫውም ጠቅላላ ጉባዔው:
ለፕሬዘዳንትነት ፣ ለም/ፕሬዚዳንትነት ፣ ለፀሀፊነት እና በሌሎችም የስራ አስፈፃሚ ቦታዎች ላይ ህጉና ደንቡ በሚፈቅደው መሠረት ተወዳዳሪዎች ያቀረቡትን ስትራቴጂ ዕቅድ እና የተሰጣቸውን ድምፅ መሰረት ያደረገ ነፃ እና ፍትሀዊ ምርጫ ማካሄዱን ገልጿል።

በዚህም መሠረት ፦
1ኛ ተማሪ አህመድ መሀመድ _የተማ/ህ ፕሬዚዳንት
2ኛ ተማሪ ብዙአየሁ ፋሲካ_ የተማ/ህ ም/ፕሬዚዳንት
3ኛ ተማሪ ቤቴሌሄም ስሜነህ_ የተማ/ህ ፀሃፊ ሁነው ተመርጠዋል።

በምርጫው የድምፅ አሰጣጥ ሂደት ላይ የአስተዳደር እና ልማት ም/ፕሬዚዳንት ሁሴን ኡመር (ዶ/ር):የተማሪዎች አገልግሎት ዲን አብዱ ሀንፈሬን ጨምሮ ሌሎች በየደረጃው ያሉ አመራሮች ተገኝተዋል።
