Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Stars

It was narrated that Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (RA) said: "It rained during the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'Have you not heard what your Lord said this night? He said: I have never sent down any blessing upon My slaves but some of them become disbelievers thereby, saying: 'We have been given rain by such and such a star.' As for the one who believes in Me and praises Me for giving rain, that is the one who believes in Me and disbelieves in the stars. But the one who says: 'We have been given rain by such and such a star' he has disbelieved in Me and believed in the stars."

(Sunan an-Nasa'i 1525, Book 17, Hadith 22)

When you look up at the heavens, do not think that the heavens and stars bless you, they are a blessing of Allah. In pre-Islamic times, many looked up high and thought blessings rained down from the various stars in the sky. They did not realise that everything that is created must have a creator and the Lord of the worlds is Allah (SWT). Appreciate His blessings but be sure to attribute them to Him and to nothing else.

Today’s Inspiring Hadith is about the Widow

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 5353, Book 69, Hadith 3)

Serving widows and the poor is highly esteemed and rewarded by Allah. Dedicate yourself to helping those in need, earning great rewards from Allah.

Being a single mother can be a lifelong struggle. You do everything to raise your child the best that you can while clinging to Allah and hope. Discover the status of single mothers in Islam.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Goodness

Ibn Mas'ud (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“He who guides (others) to an act of goodness, will have a reward similar to that of its doer.”

(Bulugh al-Maram, Book 16, Hadith 1466)

Guiding others towards good deeds earns one equal reward. Encourage and guide others towards good, multiplying your rewards.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about the Actions of a Believer

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not hurt his neighbour and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should speak what is good or keep silent."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 6136, Book 78, Hadith 163)

Speaking good or remaining silent protects one from harm and sin. Choose your words wisely, ensuring they bring goodness and positivity.

Yesterday’s Beautiful Hadith is about Suspicion

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales. and do not look for the others' faults, and do not do spying on one another, and do not practice Najsh, and do not be jealous of one another and do not hate one another, and do not desert (stop talking to) one another. And O, Allah's worshipers! Be brothers!"

(Sahih al-Bukhari 6066, Book 78, Hadith 96)

Unfounded suspicion can lead to misunderstandings and falsehoods. Cultivate trust and avoid making assumptions about others without evidence. Learn to think good of one another and emulate true brotherhood.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Food

Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (RA) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'The human does not fill any container that is worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat what will support his back. If this is not possible, then a third for food, a third for drink, and third for his breath."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2380, Book 36, Hadith 77)

This is the best diet to follow! One third of your stomach should be full of food, so don’t overeat. One third should be reserved for water to allow your body to be nourished, free from toxins and cleansed appropriately. One third for air because we’ve all felt the pangs of overeating where even breathing and the stomach expanding to draw in oxygen causes discomfort, signalling we have eaten too much. Enjoy food and thank Allah for it, but look after your body too because you need it to take care of your family and maintain your worship of Allah. May Allah bless us all with good health – Ameen!

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Ayat ul Kursi

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (ra): "Allah has not created in the heavens nor in the earth what is more magnificent than Ayat Al-Kursi." Sufyan (ra) said: "Because Ayat Al-Kursi is the Speech of Allah, and Allah's Speech is greater than Allah's creation of the heavens and the earth."

(Tirmidhi 2884, Book 45, Hadith 10)

Learn more about how special the verses of the throne are through their emphasis in Hadiths, and read Ayat ul Kursi itself after every salat.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Condemning Evil

Abu Sa'eed (RA) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart- and that is the weakest of Faith.'"

(Sunan an-Nasa'i, Book 47, Hadith 24)

Injustice is everywhere. You can't escape it but you can pray for protection from it and for those who are suffering because of it. Let's make a dua for all those who are in tribulation, especially those in Palestine, in Yemen, Syria, Kashmir, Sudan and everywhere, as well as for the Rohingya and Uyghur Muslims. May Allah alleviate the suffering of those in tribulation, grant us justice in this world and the next and protect us from the weakest of faith - Ameen.

Yesterday’s Beautiful Hadith is about a Dua

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that: the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "In the morning say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَى وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُمْ فَقُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَى وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

'Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut (O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we reach the evening, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die). And when evening comes, say: Allahumma bika amsayna, wa bika asbahna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut, wa ilaykal-masir

(O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we reach the morning, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die, and unto You is our return)."

(Sunan Ibn Majah 3868, Book 34, hadith 42)

Commit the duas we can learn from our Prophet (SAW) to memory, they will serve you well every single day Insha'Allah.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Three Supplications

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Three supplications are accepted, there is no doubt in them (about them being accepted): The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of his father against his son."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 11)

Gain the prayers of the oppressed by helping them, even if it is only through your duas. When you travel, remember Allah more and pray for yourself and those you meet. And never pray against your children for those prayers hold great weight. Your example will shape their experience so be the best you can be, teach them of your religion and what is right and trust in Allah, praying for their guidance always. May all our duas be answered - Ameen!

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Allah's Mercy

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) saying, "Before Allah created the creations, He wrote a Book (wherein He has written): My Mercy has preceded my Anger." and that (Book) is written with Him over the Throne."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 7553, Book 97, Hadith 178)

Allah (swt) is all Merciful. Nothing that you have done is beyond forgiveness. Just turn to Him with sincere repentance, ask for forgiveness and guidance. You will not be left disappointed Insha'Allah!

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Divorce

It was narrated that 'Abdullah (RA) said: "The Sunnah divorce is to divorce her when she is pure (not menstruating) without having had intercourse with her."

(Sunan an-Nasa'i 3395, Book 27, Hadith 7)

Marriages break down and fail sometimes. Do not be harsh with one another, even when separating. Know that you gain a reward with Allah for treating everyone fairly and with kindness. Allah knows what is in your heart and will reward you for it.

Hadith Of The Day

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Salat

Ali (RA) narrated that: the Prophet (SAW), said: "The key to Salat is the purification, its Tahrim is the Takbir, and its Tahlil is the Taslim."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3, Book 1, Hadith 3)

Never leave the prayer. It is an opportunity every single day to ask for forgiveness for whatever you have done, a chance to ask for guidance whenever you feel lost and a means to be thankful to Allah for all that you have. The Salah is so important, cling to it, concentrate in it and make each one your best one.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Advice for Men

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (trouble) his neighbour. And I advise you to take care of the women, for they are created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I urge you to take care of the women."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 5185, 5186, Book 67, Hadith 120)

Women are entrusted to men by Allah, deserving utmost care and respect. Honour and protect the women in your life, fulfilling your divine responsibility.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Women

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character among them. And the best of you are those who are best to your women.”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1162, Book 12, Hadith 17)

Kindness towards women is a measure of one's excellence. Treat women with respect and kindness, reflecting the Prophet's (SAW) teaching.

Men and women are the allies of one another. The nature of women is truly marvellous and so different from men. Their soft hearts, dedication to learning and the truth without ego and nurturing kindness are just some of the traits which separate them from most men. Women were honoured by our Prophet (SAW) and they should always be treated with respect and care.

(Sahih Bukhari 3559, Book 61, Hadith 68)

Superior manners and character define the best among believers. Cultivate excellent manners, aspiring to be among the best in character.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him.”

Hadith Of The Day

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Destiny

It was narrated that Suraqah bin Ju'shum (ra) said:

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), is one's deed in that which has already dried of the Pen and what has passed of the Divine Decree, or is it in the future?' He said: 'No, it is in that which he already dried of the Pen and what has passed of the Divine Decree, and each person is facilitated for what he has been created.'"

(Sunan Ibn Majah 91, Introduction, Hadith 91)

We are told about destiny to avoid feeling too much joy at good news and despair at times of tribulation. Allah knows what is best, you have to trust Him and know that what is meant to happen will and nothing can harm or benefit you without His permission. Praise Allah for the good in your life and turn to Him when things get tough. You'll get through whatever life throws at you if you only have faith, Insha'Allah.

Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant when he turns penitently towards Him than one of you would be on finding the lost camel.

(Sahih Muslim 2675i, Book 50, Hadith 2)

Seek forgiveness often as it should be as regular a practice as your good deeds. In realizing your mistakes and turning to Allah, you gain His Pleasure and also forgiveness Insha'Allah.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Beahviour towards One Another

Narrated Anas bin Malik (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do not hate one another, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert each other, and O, Allah's worshipers! Be brothers. Lo! It is not permissible for any Muslim to desert (not talk to) his brother (Muslim) for more than three days."

(Sahih Bukhari 6065, Book 78, Hadith 95)

Brotherhood in Islam is built on love, not jealousy or hatred. Foster unity and brotherhood, embracing each other with love and compassion.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Brotherhood

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not be angry with each other and do not envy each other and do not turn away from each other, and be slaves of Allah, brothers. It is not halal for a muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights."

(Muwatta Malik, Book 47, Hadith 1649)

Brotherhood in faith calls for maintaining harmonious relationships. Let go of anger and envy, and cherish your bonds with others.
