Shaykh Al-‘Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan حفظه الله said that whoever claims that Ibn Taymiyyah adhered to a Sufi order is either a fabricating liar or ignoramus. Rather, Ibn Taymiyyah was upon Tawhid and the correct creed. He extensively refuted the Sufis and highlighted the falsehood they practiced. He critiqued all false doctrines and creeds, and he combatted all the enemies of Islam.

Due to the water restrictions currently in place in the city, we recommend that everyone perform purification PRIOR TO coming to the masjid for Jumu'ah. The water is now flowing from the faucets, but there is still a boil order in place, which indicates that it may not be totally safe to use the water for wudhu.

Sneezing And Mentioning The Prophet’sﷺ Name During The Khutbah

Sheikh Uthaymeen -
may Allah have mercy on him - was asked: Can the listener of the Khutbah say” Yarhamukallah(May Allah have mercy upon you )” to the one who sneezes and send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ if the imam mentions the Prophet ﷺ?



His Eminence answered by saying: He does not have the right to say “Yarhamukallah (May Allah have mercy upon you )” to the one who sneezes, and the one who sneezes should not praise Allah out loud. However, if the Imaam mentions the Prophet ﷺ, he should send blessings upon him silently so as not to disturb those around him.

Is It Permissible To Pray Behind Someone Who Shaves His Beard Or Wear His Lower Garment Below His Ankles


Q) Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen was asked: What is the ruling on praying behind an Imaam who shaves his beard and lets his garment hang down below his ankles ?

Q) His Eminence answered by saying: If there is an Imaam who has more piety than him, then praying behind him is undoubtedly better. But if there is no such Imaam , or if you enter a congregational masjid and the one leading them in prayer is this man who shaves his beard or lets his garment hang down below his ankles , then there is no harm in praying behind him, because the most correct opinion among the scholars is that the Imaam who sin (prayer behind him )is valid, even if the one who has more piety is better.

Should I finish Al-Fatihah

Q ) Shaikh Uthaymeen was asked about a follower who entered the prayer after the Imaam finished saying the takbiratul ihram and reciting al-Fatihah, then he started reciting al-Fatihah but the Imaam bowed, should the follower bow or complete the recitation of al-Fatihah?

A)His Eminence answered by saying: If the follower enters and the imam wants to bow, and the follower is unable to recite al-Fatihah, if he only has one verse or something similar left so that he can complete it and catch up with the Imaam in bowing, then that is better. But if he has a lot left so that if he recites he will not catch up with the Imaam in bowing, then he bows with the Imaam even if he does not complete al-Fatihah.

‎Imām Ibn Al-Qayyim, commenting on this blessed verse in his tremendous book 𝗮𝗹-𝗙𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘆𝘆𝗮𝗵, said:

‎‘In this verse, Allāh the Glorious and Most High, commands the Mujāhidīn [those who strive in His cause] to adhere to five things, and these five things, whenever they gather in a group, even if small, they will surely be victorious, regardless of how large their enemy is.

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 of these is steadfastness: ‘𝗢 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 [𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀], 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺..’ So the first factor is steadfastness.

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 is frequent remembrance of Allāh the Glorious and Most High: ‘𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵..’

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 is obedience to Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ.

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 is unity of word and not engaging in disputes, which lead to failure and weakness. When people dispute, they empower their enemy against them. When they are united, they are like a bundle of arrows that no one can break. But if separated and each one stands alone, they can easily be broken.

‎𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐡, which is the key and foundation of all the previous four, is patience. It is the pillar upon which the rest stand.

‎These are the five things upon which the structure of victory is built. If any of these are missing, victory will decrease accordingly. However, when they are all gathered together, they strengthen one another and have a profound impact in achieving victory.

‎When these factors were present among the Companions, no nation could stand against them. They conquered the world, and both people and lands submitted to them. But when these factors became scattered and weakened in those who came after them, the situation turned into what it is now.

‎There is no might nor power except with Allāh, the Most High, the Great. Allāh is our source of help, upon Him we rely, and He is sufficient for us and the best disposer of affairs.’”
