🔆NAMASTE Scheme

✅Govt. has formulated the NAMASTE scheme (national action for mechanized sanitation ecosystem) for cleaning sewers, and septic tanks (to be implemented from 2022 to 2026)
✅Aim: It aims to achieve outcomes like zero fatalities in sanitation work in India, no sanitation workers come in direct contact with human faecal matter and all Sewer and Septic tank sanitation workers have access to alternative livelihoods.
✅Nodal Ministries : Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
✅It will replace the previous scheme: Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers.

*Note: There is also NAMASTE Portal (under the Ministry of Ayush) to standardize the various terms and technologies used in alternative medicines.

🔆Market Intervention Scheme (MIS)
✅MIS is a component of the PM-AASHA scheme.
✅It is implemented on the request of the State/UT Government for procurement of various perishable agricultural/horticultural commodities such as tomato, onion and potato etc. for which Minimum Support Price (MSP) is not applicable.
📍Revised MIS Guidelines
✅MIS will be implemented only when there is a minimum reduction of 10% in the prevailing market price as compared to the previous normal year.
✅The procurement/coverage limit of production quantity of crops has been increased from the existing 20 percent to 25 percent.
✅The State has also been given the option to pay the difference between the Market Intervention Price (MIP) and the selling price directly into the bank account of the farmers in place of physical procurement.

Guru-Shishya Parampara Scheme
✅It is being implemented by The Ministry of Culture implements the “Financial Assistance for Promotion of Guru-Shishya Parampara (Repertory Grant)”
✅It provides financial assistance to cultural organizations engaged in performing arts (music, dance, theatre, folk art, etc.) for training artists (shishyas) under the guidance of a Guru.
✅Eligibility: Cultural organizations across the country are eligible to apply, provided they follow the Guru-Shishya Parampara.
✅Target Group: The scheme supports shishyas aged 3 years and above in dance, music, theatre, and traditional art forms.
✅Financial Assistance: The scheme offers financial support of Rs. 15,000 per month for each Guru/Director. A maximum of 18 Shishyas in theatre and 10 Shishyas in music and dance can receive assistance under each Guru.
✅Objective: The goal is to ensure regular training of shishyas by their respective Gurus, following the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara.

International Big Cat Alliance(IBCA)

✅The IBCA was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2023, during the “Commemorating 50 years of Project Tiger” event.
🔸 headquarters located in India.
✅Members: 27 countries have consented to join the Alliance.
🔸Five countries (Nicaragua, Eswatini, India, Somalia, and Liberia) have officially ratified and become members of the IBCA.
✅It was established by the Government of India through the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), with an order dated 12th March, 2024.
✅Focus: It aims to conserve seven big cat species: Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, Jaguar, and Puma.
✅ It includes both range countries (countries where these species are found) and non-range countries interested in supporting big cat conservation.
✅Objective: The primary goal of IBCA is to facilitate global collaboration for big cat conservation, consolidate successful conservation practices, and achieve the common goal of preserving big cats worldwide.
✅It aims to provide financial support, disseminate conservation best practices, create a central repository of technical knowledge, and strengthen intergovernmental conservation platforms.

🔆GPS Spoofing:

✅GPS spoofing, also known as GPS simulation, refers to the practice of manipulating or tricking a GPS receiver by broadcasting false GPS signals.
✅Essentially, it misleads the GPS receiver into believing it is located somewhere it is not, resulting in the device providing inaccurate location data.
✅This form of cyberattack undermines the reliability of GPS data, which is vital for a variety of applications, from navigation to time synchronization and more.

📍How Does GPS Spoofing Work?

✅It exploits the inherent vulnerabilities in the GPS infrastructure – the weak signal strength of GPS satellites.
✅The Global Positioning System (GPS) functions by sending signals from satellites to GPS receivers on Earth.
✅These receivers then calculate their position based on the time it takes for these signals to arrive.
✅However, due to the weak signal strength of the GPS satellites, these signals can be easily overwhelmed by fake signals, resulting in inaccurate location data on the receiving device.
✅Typically, a GPS spoofer begins by acquiring a basic understanding of the victim’s GPS setup, including the types of signals it uses and how they are processed.
✅With that information, the attacker then sends counterfeit GPS signals that mimic the real ones.
✅These fake signals are stronger, causing the receiver to recognize them as authentic signals.
✅As a result, the victim’s GPS receiver ends up processing these counterfeit signals, leading to erroneous location information.
