In the wake of the recent earthquake that devastated basic infrastructures in Awash and Dulesa areas, Edukans Ethiopia is deeply committed to standing with the affected communities and ensuring that the education of displaced children is not interrupted.
Recognizing the importance of education as a lifeline in times of crisis, we have mobilized our resources to support the newly established schools in the IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) sites, creating safe and conducive learning spaces for these resilient children.
Our support includes
✅ Two standard-sized (6m*8m) classroom tents to provide temporary yet safe spaces for learning
✅ Two 3,000L plastic water tanks to guarantee access to clean and safe drinking water for students & teachers
✅ 4,500 exercise books and 1,500 pens to ensure that students can continue their education, even during this challenging time Edukans Ethiopia believes that education is a right, not a privilege, and that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, especially in the face of adversity.
We are proud to partner with the local communities and work alongside them in rebuilding the future of these children, helping them find hope and stability in the midst of this crisis.
