#Robots #Jobs #AI

Counterintuitive as it may sound, incorporation of robots in organizations and companies will result in more - mostly better - career prospects for employees. This is because when people are freed from repetitive or manual tasks, they almost always find activities that can better their standard of life and entertainment.

This can be exemplified by many revolutionary examples from the history such as electricity or calculator. The former indeed took over labor like carrying loads or transporting, but it provided many more jobs in electrical or engineering sectors. The same happened with the latter: people were worried that with the invention of calculator, mathematicians would be out of their jobs, yet it actually aided them prioritize new fields over mundane calculations.

In short, prevalence of robots and AI may not be too concerning after all.

Some people think that a job provides not only an income but also a social life. Other people think that it is better to develop a social life with people you do not work with.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

People have differing views regarding the people we socialize with: while some argue we should spend time with our colleagues, others propose our social life should transcend the workplace. Although both approaches seem promising, I think people should try to bond with those outside their jobs.

On the one hand, there are justified benefits of social life in the workplace for both employees and employers. For workers, forming strong relationships with co-workers can boost job satisfaction. It does so because we humans are social creatures, meaning that the more close we become to surrounding people, the happier we become. Investing time in this pursuit would therefore help us grow more connected to our colleagues and stay happy. As for corporate benefits, companies can improve work productivity if employees were to spend more time together. Granted, social connections within a workplace can increase workflow between different departments and reduce the number of potential conflicts. This, in turn, can lead the companies and corporations to progress faster than they otherwise would.

On the other hand, social life outside the work proves even more justified. Firstly, this can assist people to accomplish more in their professional careers. That is, communication with people from various backgrounds can make them grow more well-rounded. For instance, a person who talks to engineers, doctors, and lawyers is far more advanced in problem-solving and critical thinking than a person who talks to only lawyers or only doctors. Such qualities can also help with career advancement since they will be more aware of the opportunities around them. Secondly, general life satisfaction will improve should a person socialize with different people. The main reason behind view is that communicating with people forces us to develop soft skills or interpersonal skills that are necessary in daily life. Having such qualities will surely strengthen our relationships with not only our co-workers but also our family, friends, and close relatives, which is way more crucial than just job satisfaction. Due to these two reasons, I believe that we should converse with people outside our jobs.

To conclude, some claim the importance of socializing with co-workers as it can better job satisfaction and productivity. However, I side with those who separate social and work life, highlighting broader merits such as career growth and overall life satisfaction.

Nothing could be more symbolically aligned with life than foggy weather.

It is a nebulous path, so blurry that sometimes even the brightest stars are lost in obscurity. There is an intimidating silence that might herald ordeals lurking ahead. Bearing the weight of uncertainty, we step forward - sometimes with bold strides, sometimes crawling unwillingly - trying to move closer to what awaits us. However calculated or prudent we might be, a wrong turn is never off the table. Clutching what is most precious, with unwavering faith, we keep walking.

Been used more by the intelligent than by the simple, and the labors of educators are apparently canceled in each generation by the fertility of the uninformed. But much of what we call intelligence is the result of individual education, opportunity, and experience; and there is no evidence that such intellectual acquirements are transmitted in the genes. Even the children of Ph.D.s must be educated and go through their adolescent measles of errors, dogmas, and isms; nor can we say how much potential ability and genius lurk in the chromosomes of the harassed and handicapped poor. Biologically, physical vitality may be, at birth, of greater value than intellectual pedigree; Nietzsche thought that the best blood in Germany was in peasant veins. Philosophers are not the fittest material from which to breed the race

The phases of life 📈

What's more, the amount of such hormones regulates maturity as well. According to the author of The Male/Female Brain, maturity can be grouped into phases.

Did you know about the main male hormones

I think most are familiar with hormones like Testosterone, a masculine hormone; Estrogen, a feminine one; Dopamine, a happiness regulator; and Cortisol, a primary happiness hormone.

HOWEVER, the majority of us are oblivious to other vital chemicals in our body - these literally dictate how we feel/behave.

VASOPRESSIN — The White Knight
Vasopressin is the hormone of gallantry and monogamy, aggressively protecting and defending turf, mate, and children. Along with testosterone, he runs the male brain circuits and enhances masculinity.

MÜLLERIAN INHIBITING SUBSTANCE (MIS) — Hercules
He’s strong, tough, and fearless. Also known as the Defeminizer, he ruthlessly strips away all that is feminine from the male. MIS builds brain circuits for exploratory behavior, suppresses brain circuits for female-type behaviors, destroys the female reproductive organs, and helps build the male reproductive organs and brain circuits.

OXYTOCIN — The Lion Tamer
With just a few cuddles and strokes, this “down, boy” hormone settles and calms even the fiercest of beasts. He increases empathic ability and builds trust circuits, romantic-love circuits, and attachment circuits in the brain. He reduces stress hormones, lowers men’s blood pressure, and plays a major role in fathers’ bonding with their infants. He promotes feelings of safety and security and is to blame for a man’s “postcoital narcolepsy.”

PROLACTIN — Mr. Mom
He causes sympathetic pregnancy (couvade syndrome) in fathers-to-be and increases dads’ ability to hear their babies cry. He stimulates connections in the male brain for paternal behavior and decreases sex drive.

ANDROSTENEDIONE — Romeo
The charming seducer of women. When released by the skin as a pheromone, he does more for a man’s sex appeal than any aftershave or cologne.

Little Dark Age Edit

Recently, I have been so obsessed with videos titled "Little Dark Age Edit" featuring the Roman Empire, Philosophy, and Science. But none of them really contained Orientalism or Central Asia. So, yesterday at 4 AM I randomly decided to make it myself and just finished it. Installed an app called Capcat, downloaded a bunch of images from the internet (violating literally all the copyright rules), and put them with an audio (0 video editing skills).

Honestly, the quality is not that good and might be cringe. But I wish more people would embrace our rich history and culture on the internet.

After taking the SAT quite a few times, I want to share these key exam insights:

Test Difficulty: there is a reason why they call SAT "standardized", meaning that the test's difficulty reflects practice tests available on Bluebook. (other instances are subjective)

Common patterns: yes, finishing all official practice materials gives you an advantage. They usually test on similar logic/patterns NOT the exact questions (sometimes you do get the same questions as well in Math)

Not all questions weigh the same; the harder it is, the more points it weighs
