Addis College successfully hosted a Seminar on ICT, Artificial Intelligence, and Renewable Energy, bringing together top management, faculty, staff, and students to explore technological advancements and sustainability.

Dr. Kuma Gowwomsa, President of Addis College, and Dr. Ajin Mathew welcomed participants and guest speakers, emphasizing the role of innovation in shaping the future. Mr. Deepak K C shared insights on AI and ICT, while Dr. Chandra introduced the Banashree Renewable Energy System, highlighting its impact on sustainable energy solutions.

The seminar fostered knowledge-sharing and collaboration, reinforcing Addis College’s commitment to digital transformation and sustainability.

Addis College is planning to host an "ICT Seminar and Training on AI" on Friday morning, 14/02/2017, in collaboration with Deepak K C, Head of Innovative Learning, GCC | Cyber Square Middle East FZE, CMO, Co-founder & Director | Cyber Square AI and Robotics Pvt Ltd.

As there are limited seats available for the training, please register at the ICT Head Office or the registration office of Addis College by Thursday morning.

Additionally, 10 students who complete the training will receive a free scholarship in the future.

The top management of Addis College visited FDRE-TVET to establish initial discussions for future collaboration. The meeting aimed to explore potential partnerships in short-term training, teaching, and research. Both institutions expressed a shared commitment to enhancing capacity-building efforts, fostering knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic and technical cooperation. This engagement marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration to advance quality education and professional development in key technical and vocational fields.

ከፍተኛ የትምህርት ተቋማት የሚሰጡት ትምህርት ጥራት የሚፈተሽበት፤ ‘’የጥራት ኦዲት መመሪያ’’ እየተዘጋጀ ነው ተባለ።
በኢትዮጵያ እስከ ዛሬ የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋም የትምህርት ጥራትን የሚፈትሽበት የኦዲት ስርዓትና መመሪያ አስገዳጅ ባለመሆኑ፤ የትኛው የትምህርት ተቋም፣ የትምህርት ጥራቱ ምን መሳይ ነው የሚለው ለማወቅ አስቸጋሪ ሆኖ መቆየቱ ተነግሯል።
ይህንን ችግር ያቃልላል፣ የከፍተኛ የትምህርት ተቋማት የትምህርት አሰጣጥ ጥራትን ለመፈተሽም ይረዳል የተባለ መመሪያ ሊወጣ መሆኑ ሰምተናል።
መመሪያው የመንግስትን ጨምሮ ሁሉም የግል ከፍተኛ የትምህርት እና የቴክኒክና ሞያ ተቋማትን ይመለከታል ተብሏል።
የትምህርት ተቋማቱ በየ 5 ዓመቱ ጥራት ላይ ኦዲት እንዲደረጉ በመመሪያው ሰፍሯል።
አንድ የትምህር ተቋም ጥራቱ ኦዲት ከተደረገ በኋላ ከአንድ እስከ ሶስት ባለት ደረጃዎች በአንዱ ይመደባል ተብሏል።
ይህ የተባለው ዛሬ የከፍተኛ ትምህርት እና ቴክኒክና ሞያ ስልጠና የጥራት ኦዲት መመሪያ እና ደረጃዎች ላይ በተዘጋጀ የውይይት መድረክ ላይ ነው።
የትምህርት ተቋማት ጥራትን በተመለከተ ''ግለ ግምገማ'' ሊያከናውኑ ይገባል የተባለ ሲሆን እየተዘጋጀ ባለው መመሪያ መሰረት ግን ጥራታቸው የሚፈተሸው በትምህርትና ስልጠና በሚመደብ የጥራት ኦዲተሮች ነው ተብሏል።
በሀገሪቱ የትምህርት ዘርፍ የተለያዩ ለውጦች እየተደረጉ መሆኑ አንስተው ይህም የጥራት ኦዲት ልኬትም ከሚደረጉ ሪፎርሞች መካከል አንዱ ነው ሲሉ የነገሩን፤ በትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ልማት ዘርፍ ሚኒስትር ዴኤታ ኮራ ጡሽኔ ናቸው።
አሁን ባለው አሰራር የከፍተኛ የትምህርት ተቋማትን ጥራት በተመለከተ የሚያስገድድ መመሪያ ባለመኖሩ በተገቢው እንደማይፈተሹ ተነስቷል።
ይህ ''የጥራት ኦዲት መመሪያ'' ወጥቶ ተግባራዊ ሲሆን ግን የተቋማቱን የትምህርት ጥራት ተፈትሾ ደረጃ ለመስጠት እንደሚያግዝ በትምህርትና ስልጠና ባለስልጣን የቴክኒክና ሞያ ጥራት ዴስክ ሀላፊ ጎበዜ ይመር ተናግረዋል።
ዛሬ ይመለከታቸዋል ከተባሉት ጋር በተደረገ ውይይት ይህ የጥራት ኦዲት መመሪያ ወደ ፍትህ ሚኒስቴር እንደሚላክ የሰማን ሲሆን ከመቼ ጀምሮ ተግባራዊ ይሆናል የሚለው ግን በግልፅ አልተቀመጠም።

Greetings from MoE.

As you are aware, the 5 Million Coders initiative was officially launched last summer, and we are now moving towards its implementation phase. As communicated previously, this initiative aims to empower the university community by offering access to world-class digital literacy and job-ready training programs.
The primary beneficiaries are university students and faculty. All courses offered under this initiative are provided free of charge to the Ethiopian government as part of a generous donation, which otherwise would require significant costs in USD for certification. The training will be delivered through Udacity, a globally recognized platform that specializes in preparing students for the job market.
Through this initiative, our students will become internationally competitive, and our faculty members will gain the skills needed to stay relevant in today’s digital landscape. Courses such as Data Science and Introduction to Programming are open to all—students and faculty alike—regardless of department, helping to foster essential digital literacy skills in today's world.
Let’s work together to ensure the success of this program. We encourage you to promote this opportunity within your institutions, as it will only be available for the next three years.
Additionally, we request that you closely monitor the progress of this initiative.
