It is true that fatherlessness can lead to a myriad of vices in life. Some fall headlong into their anger & bitterness, scorched earth style. Total destruction.
But Christ makes the difference. Fatherless men, found in Christ, have been given the gift of perspective. That gift gives them a passion to build, a fierce loyalty and sense of duty, and a righteous indignation against that which seeks to snatch the future from those in his care.
Men, by nature, will either build or destroy. Using “fatherlessness” as a scapegoat to bludgeon your dissenters is the act of a soft man, a man that’s been the silver spoon, not the blunt head of the axe.
