Difference b/n Confidence level and confidence interval
👉The confidence level is the percentage of times you expect to reproduce an estimate between the upper and lower bounds of the confidence interval, and is set by the investigator.
👉Confidence level የምንለው በብዛት 95%,90% ወይም 99% ሊሆን ይችላል
👉The confidence interval is the range of values that you expect your estimate to fall between a certain percentage of the time if you run your experiment again or re-sample the population in the same way.
👉ብዙ ጊዜ confidence level ከconfidence interval ጋር እንጠቀማለን ፣
👉#95% Confidence interval ምን ማለት ነው?
👉ለምሳሌ 95% CI of Beta (1.34-4.54) ቢሆን፣ ይህ ማለት በተደጋጋሚ ጊዜ ተመሳሳይ መንገድ በመጠቀም በተላያዩ Sample ላይ ጥናት ብናደርግና ለሁሉም ጥናታችን 95% confidence interval estimate ብናደርግ፣ 100 ጊዜ ጥናቱን ቢንዳጋግም 95 ጊዜ ትክክለኛውን ውጤት የሚያካትት interval (estimate) እናገኛለን ማለት ነው።
👉ምክንያቱም አንድን ጥናት the same methodology ተጠቅመን ብዙ ጊዜ ብንሰራ ተቀረራቢ ውጤት እንገኛለን። ይህም የተገኛ ውጤት(estimate) 100 ጊዜ ብንደግመው 95ቱ true value ያለበትን confidence interval እናገኛለን ማለት ነው።
What does 90, 95 or 99% confidence level (CL) mean?
👉Since we are using a sample to conclude about the whole population, we can not be 100% confident about our results. Hence, 95% confidence level means we are 95% sure that the results obtained using the sample can show the reality or target population. So the population will be with in 5% plus or minus to the result we obtained from the sample.
👉For example: With 95% CL If the sample mean was found to be 100, then the actual mean of the population will be in the range between 95 and 105 (plus or minus 5%). So if one person decides the mean to be 99and if the other decides 101, the difference between them is insignificant (has no significant meaning) since they are with in the range. But if someone gets 90, it has significant difference since it is out of the range. You can read further for more information.
