It aims to promote entrepreneurship and job creation with the support of the African diaspora in the following European countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland).

#Fantastic #Updates from WIDU Ethiopia!

In the first 3 months of 2024, a total of #7 million ETB in grant funding has been disbursed to support 50 entrepreneurs.
This is a great initiative that is fostering new business development across Ethiopia. ️

The grants have been instrumental in supporting start up businesses in Addis Ababa and regional cities in Ethiopia.
This will contribute to job creation, economic growth in specific sector.

#WUDU team recently partnered with Bridge Professional Development Center to host a 2-day public speaking workshop.

#Public #speaking is a crucial soft skill, valuable not just in the professional world, but in any situation! This training equipped our team with the tools and techniques to confidently deliver presentations, manage stage presence, and effectively connect with their audience.

A huge thank you to all the participants for your dedication and enthusiasm!

Alongside the #International Mother's Day, we take a look back at one of WIDU's milestone, the #WomenCall.

Launched in Ethiopia on July 1st, 2023 the #WomenCall aimed to promote women's successes by supporting female entrepreneurs in developing their businesses.
The new instrument has focused mainly on the country's rural areas, where women are facing barriers in terms of funding and networking. Officially closed on 31 August, more than 391 have applied to #WomenCall and 120 women are supported so far, gaining access to new opportunities.
