Dear colleagues,
The
“Generation Justice” Initiative, launched by UNODC in May this year, aims at increasing the meaningful participation of young people in intergovernmental spaces, specifically the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) and the 2026 Crime Congress.
As part of this initiative, UNODC is currently engaging up to 10 youth representatives per region as per the five regional groups in which preparatory meetings for the 15th Crime Congress will be held (
Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Western Asia), forming a network known as the
“GenJust Youth Network”.
We are now looking to expand the network further. We are opening this call to interested individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 years old at the time of the application, who are based in Latin America and the Caribbean or Western Asia. Knowledge of and participation in crime prevention and/or criminal justice work in your community, as well as relevant professional and academic affiliation, will be considered in the selection process. Additionally, Members should be able to communicate well in English, both orally and in writing.
The application deadline is 23:59 CEST on 28 July. Please fill out the Microsoft Form to apply for the Network: https://forms.office.com/e/qBwGdVdHBH
