Assalamu’alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!

We are so excited to announce our very first Sisters’ Meet & Greet! 🎉 This is a free event, and we’d be so grateful if you could join us to make it a truly special day.

🗓 *Date:* Saturday, 11th January
*Time:* 1 PM – 3 PM
📍 *Location:* LSC Community Hub, Martins Court, Meadow Rd IG11 9FE

It will be an afternoon of connection, inspiration, and sisterhood, with uplifting discussions, great conversations, and refreshments. Women of all ages are welcome, and children are invited too! (this not restricted people from barking)

Let us remind ourselves of the beautiful hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "A man set out to visit a brother (in faith) in another town, and Allah sent an angel on his way. When the man met the angel, the angel asked him, 'Where are you going?' He replied, 'I am going to visit a brother of mine in this town.' The angel asked, 'Does he owe you any favor that you are going to repay?' He said, 'No, I just love him for the sake of Allah.' The angel said, 'I am a messenger from Allah to you to inform you that Allah loves you as you love him for His sake.'" (Sahih Muslim)

We would also greatly appreciate it if you could share this message with your friends and family in the community so that we can spread the word.

Please sign up and register your space using the link below:

https://forms.gle/cGf97C3t8G9CKgXg9

We make du’a that Allah accepts this effort from us, allows us to make the most of this beautiful afternoon, and blesses it with barakah, love, and sisterhood for His sake. Ameen!

We can’t wait to spend this meaningful day with you all! 🌟

Muslims were respected and feared throughout the world when we actually practiced our Deen. When Muslims began hanging out with the kuffaar, drinking with the kuffaar, smoking weed with the kuffaar, listening to music with the kuffaar, fornicating with those nasty women of the kuffaar, etc., the respect and fear for Muslims was removed from their hearts. We can see this in the following Hadith:

Thawban (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and cast enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.

When you lower yourself to the level of a lowlife, the lowlife will never respect you. The only way you maintain dignity, honor and respectability is through carrying yourself with dignity. The only way you can do that is by practicing this Deen the way you are commanded to do so. If you want to follow shaytan, you will receive what all his previous followers received in this life and the next. An Arab poet once said:

This line of poetry is said for a person who takes a sinful person as his guide in life. The sinful person, being your guide, will take you through the most abominable actions, and you will sit with the people who do those actions. Your dignity is gone at that point. Your respectability is gone at that point. The life of your heart will also be gone if you do not repent.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗯:

1⃣. Offering sacrifice specifically in this month

Abu Hurairah raḍhiyallāhu anhu narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “No Far’. No ‘Ateerah.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Both were types of sacrifices offered by the Mushriks to their false deities; Far’ being the first child of the cattle and ’Ateerah being the sacrifice offered specifically in the month of Rajab.

So those who slaughter in the month of Rajab specifically are imitating the Mushriks and disobeying the command of the Prophet ﷺ.

2⃣. Salaat Ar-Raghā’ib

This prayer is offered between Maghrib and ’Isha on the first Friday night in Rajab, and is preceded by fasting on the first Thursday of Rajab.

An-Nawawi rahimahullāh said:
“The prayer which is known as Salaat Ar-Raghā'ib, which is twelve rakahs that are offered between Maghrib and ‘Isha’ on the night of the first Friday in Rajab, and praying one hundred rakahs on the night of Nusf Shabaan (halfway through Islamic month Shabaan) are both reprehensible innovations. No one should be deceived by the fact that they are mentioned in Qoot al-Quloob and Ihya’ ‘Uloom al-Deen, or by the hadeeth which is quoted in these two books, because all of that is false. No one should be deceived by some of those Imaams who were confused about the ruling on these prayers and wrote essays stating that they are mustahabb (recommended), for they are mistaken in that. Imaam Abu Muhammad ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Isma’eel al-Maqdisi wrote a valuable book showing that they are false, and he did well in that, may Allaah have mercy on him”. [Al-Majmoo’ (3/548)]

3⃣. Fasting the entire month or most of it

People fast throughout Rajab even though fasting in Rajab is like fasting in any other month.

‘Umar raḍhiyallāhu anhu used to hit the hands of those who fasted in Rajab until they reached out for food, and he would say, This is a month which was venerated in Jāhiliyyah. [Authenticated by Sheikh Albāni in Al-Irwaa’, 957]

4⃣. Celebrating Israa' wal Mi'raaj (the night journey)

This innovation takes place on the 27th night of Rajab. There is no authentic proof that Isra’ wal Mi’raaj happened on this date according to many scholars. And even if it was proven, there is no excuse for holding celebrations on this date, because this was not reported from the Prophet ﷺ, nor was it a practice of his companions, may Allaah be pleased with them all. If it was a good thing, they would have surely preceded us.

5⃣. Visiting graves specifically in this month

Many people visit graves in Rajab with the belief that it has a good affect on the inhabitants and that it carries a greater reward, but there is nothing to prove this.

6⃣. Performing ’Umrah (known as Ar-Rajabiyyah) specifically during this month

The Prophet ﷺ never performed ‘Umrah during Rajab even though he performed ‘Umrah four times.

Sheikh Muḥammad Ibrāhīm (former Grand Mufti) said in his Fatāwā:

“As for singling out some of the days of Rajab for any kind of good deed, ziyaarah (visiting the House of Allaah, the Ka'bah) or anything else, there is no basis for this, because Imām Abū Shāmah stated in his book Al-Bida wal Ḥawādith: specifying acts of worship at times that were not specified by Shar’iah is wrong; no time is to be regarded as better than any other except in cases where the Shar’iah has given preference to a certain act of worship at a certain time, or stated that any good deed done at this time is better than good deeds done at other times. Hence the scholars denounced the practice of singling out the month of Rajab for doing ’Umrah frequently.”

📚#16 Advice/tip to students of knowledge

Learn how to ask questions.

The manner of how to ask questions to the Sheikh is from the greatest manners that the student has to learn. Because knowledge is taken from the Sheikh by two paths:
1) ما يبتدئه الشيخ من العلم ببذله
(That which the Sheikh gives from himself like his lessons)
(That which the student extracts from the Sheikh by asking questions)

So if the student carries the correct etiquettes in both these paths then he will succeed in his seeking ilm by the permission of Allah. So a person has to learn how to ask the sheikh for indeed the one ignorant in this will be prevented from a lot of ilm.

Abdullah ibn 'Abbas, may Allaah be pleased with him, said: “I acquired knowledge with a wise heart and an inquiring tongue.”

And this is something Scholars have spoken about as it's own subject. From the most beneficial of what you will read on this topic is what Shaatibi mentions in الموافقات and Ibn Qayyim in اعلام الموقعين.

From the manners of when asking questions:

1- That he intends by his question the face of Allah and intends to remove ignorance from himself. Fear Allah of intending by asking the question that you want to show you have knowledge to the Sheikh or test the Sheikh or use his answer to refute another Scholar to cause Fitna and similar intentions that is not Shar'i.
Ibn Hajr said "Have Fiqh in the religion and asking questions of knowledge is only praiseworthy if it's to act upon, not if it is to dispute and debate"

2- Ask in a good manner and with kind words. Start by giving salam and making Dua for the Sheikh before asking and make Dua for the Sheikh also after hearing the Sheikh's answer.
The way you speak to the Sheikh is not like how you would speak to your freind. Do not say to the Sheikh after answering "why? I don't accept that," "who said that" etc. Because this shows stubbornness.
And the question should not be intended to make the Sheikh look incapable, mock, tire or embarrass him. 'Ali, may Allaah be pleased with him, said:
اسأل تَفَقّهًا ولا تسأل تَعَنُّتًا.
"Ask for understanding and do not ask in a manner that is stubborn."

Maymun ibn Mahran said
"Asking questions in a good manner is half of Fiqh"

3- Make the question as short as possible and not making it long without a need. Do not mention in the question that which is not needed. Like trying to give your own explanation of your own question or mentioning that which has nothing to do with the question. Ask that which benefits.
Ibn Abbas said "I have not seen a people better than the companions of the messenger peace be upon him...they did not ask except what benefited them"

4- Having clarity in the question and using the correct words. Do not use ambiguous wordings and unclear phrases. The Sheikh will not answer it or he will give a very general answer.

BENEFIT 280: When should a woman cover her face in front of a young boy?

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allāh have mercy on him, said:

"Allah, the Almighty, did not specify a particular age for this matter. Rather, He stated:
{أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِ}
"...or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women." [An-Nur: 31].

Thus, if the child is at an age where he does not pay attention to women, does not focus on them, and does not describe their features, then there is no harm if a woman uncovers her face in front of him.

However, if it becomes evident from his gazes and his attentiveness to women that he has desires, then he is considered to have become aware of the ’Awrah of women. In such a case, it is not permissible for a woman to uncover in front of him.

Generally, boys who reach the age of ten are likely to become aware of the ’Awrah of women."

Despite the disobedience of Iblis to his creator and being aware of his sin, he said to the Lord of Might:

﴿قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى﴾
{[Satan] said "Because You have put me in error} (7:16)

It is not surprising to see people of oppression and slander claim to be the innocent ones; Since not admitting to a sin is a habit that was initiated by Iblis since eternity..

Indeed, wretched are the ancestors to these successors.

The Righteous Woman, Nothing Faults Her.

Shaykh Fayṣal Al-Hashidi حفظه الله said:

"The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم married a virgin, a non-virgin, a widow, a divorced woman, one older than him, and one younger than him... He صلى الله عليه وسلم married women in all their different states to inform us: that the righteous woman, nothing (of those states) faults her."

Benefits from this Hadith:

1. Allah is the One who afflicts you with sickness. So be it cancer, pneumonia, pcos, flu, Covid, brain hemorrhage, paralysis, etc.; all of it is from Allah.

2. Know that Allah is the best of planners, and Allah only afflicts His Believers with a sickness to test them and bring them closer to Him.

3. Every sickness contains goodness for a Believer.

4. Complaining is not a praiseworthy trait, but nowhere does this Hadith prohibit it. Nor is complaining to be understood as concealing vital information from the medical team treating you; in which case it would be deliberately causing yourself harm.

5. Visiting the sick is legislated, and the visitors should not ask questions which will compel the sick to complain about their sickness. They already feel hopeless, so people should try to lift their moods by giving them glad tidings.

6. This Hadith is a practical example of relying upon Allah, and mentions one of the important pillars of Tawakkul; i.e to not complain to others about your problems, and to be content with Allah's Decree. And the story of Prophet Ayub - as found in the Israeli reports which we neither deny nor confirm - are a good reminder of this.

7. Medical intervention is not a condition for a person to recover from even the worst of illnesses.

8. Healthy flesh and healthy blood are two priceless blessings of Allah.

9. There is no reward for goodness except goodness.

10. A person who is sick should remember Allah and not exert himself in performing physical acts of worship.

11. Performing good deeds is a favor from Allah upon his chosen servants.

12. A healthy person should take advantage of his health and perform good deeds to the best of his ability, and the best deeds he can perform are those which he is consistently performing, even if they are little.

The Origin is to Travel to Seek Knowledge

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allaamah, the Sincere Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajoori

Question:

Oh shaykh, what do you advise some of the youth, those that are amongst us, that if a student of knowledge comes to them from a markaz from the maraakiz of ahlus sunnah to open up lessons for them in some of the islamic sciences from aqeedah or fiqh or grammar, there you have them being lazy in attending and seeking knowledge?

Answer:

First of all: we advise to travel in order to seek knowledge, the majority of the cases the one who remains in the place of his residency will become busied, and travelling to seek knowledge is an affair of those that preceeded us (from the Salaf), and Al-Khateeb has written a independent treatise in regards to that.

"...Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware."
[At-Tawbah:122]

And Musa travelled to the junction of the 2 seas in order to meet Khadr to take some knowledge from him.
This is the one, in most cases, who will dedicate himself and will not come except for that (to seek knowledge).

So if he is not able to do that then attend (lessons) with a Sunni who is in his place of residency who Allaah has given tawfeeq to.

And if Allaah provides for people one who is successful then verily they will be successful.
So if Allaah provides for them a Sunni who is beneficial and is upon the truth, then he is like rain in that place, and beware, beware of attending the sittings of the people of desires, for verily they bring to the people doubts and wicked actions.

The importance of saying "in shā Allah إن شاء الله"

For our Fiqh courses at the Uni., we study the famous explanation to Zaad al-Mustaqni' (Hanbali Fiqh) known as ar-Rawdh al-Murbi' authored by Sh. Mansūr al-Buhūtī (1051h) رحمه الله. Under the chapter of utensils, al-Buhūtī stated that he will expound on a particular issue later on in the book under the chapter of الصيد. Unfortunately, when you goto said chapter, you’re unable to find that commentary.

Our Shaykh جزاه الله خيرا earlier this semester pointed out that because al-Buhūtī did not say “in shā Allah”, Allah did not will for it to happen. He added that this shows the importance of saying “in shā Allah” whenever we wish to accomplish something in the future. Allah tells us,

“And never say of anything, ‘I will definitely do this tomorrow,’ without adding, ‘if Allah so wills!’” (al-Kahf: 23-24)

Under these verses, Muffassirun mentioned that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked about ar-Ruh, the young men, and Dhul Qarnayn. The Prophet never spoke based on his desires & always waited for revelation before providing an answer. He told the questioners that he will reply to them the next day, hoping he would receive revelation about those events by then…but he did not say “in shā Allah”.

Consequently, Allah stopped revelation for 15 days while the questioners were still waiting for a reply. This affected the beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم as his challengers thought this was sufficient proof to discredit his message. Surah al-Kahf was then revealed providing more than adequate responses for their inquiries. In the Surah, Allah also included the verses mentioned above so as to teach and remind the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم the importance of saying “in shā Allah” when intending to achieve or execute any affair in the future. Allah also tells us,

“But you cannot will ˹to do so˺, except by the Will of Allah, the Lord of all worlds.” (Takwir: 29)

Subhanallah, from this we can see the importance of these few words. Just 3 words could determine whether you will accomplish your goals/intents or not. Also, when a person recognizes nothing can occur unless Allah wills, it will have a tremendous impact on their Iman & also aid in constantly remembering Him.

*Funny story*

A few weeks ago during his classes on Sunan Ibn Maajah, Sh. Waseeullah Abbas حفظه الله related to us a story between a man & his companion. The man told his companion that he was heading to the market to buy something & his companions replied saying, "in shā Allah”. The man was baffled as to why he would make such a statement since what he wanted to do was something fairly “simple” and easily accomplished. To him, there was no need for such a statement. As he departed to the market, he lost his money & thus unable to obtain what he set out for. So when he returned to his companion he began saying "in shā Allah” after every other word.

*PARENTING IN ISLĀM* 🍼

When it comes to parenting, we must remember that every human being is flawed—sinning daily, having shortcomings, and making mistakes. It is upon everyone to acknowledge and own these imperfections, whether they are adults or young adults. No one is perfect—not parents, not children or young adults.

Parents have their tendencies, and children or young adults have theirs.

Allāh ﷻ has placed a great responsibility on parents when their children are young, such as raising them, teaching them manners, and protecting them from harm. However, the ultimate outcome of that upbringing rests with Allāh alone.

Given that, the guidance, piety, truthfulness, and honesty of our children—or their absence—are solely in Allāh’s hands. How children conduct themselves, whether in the presence of their parents or behind their backs, is determined by Allāh ﷻ.

It is upon the parents to do their best with the limited knowledge and abilities they have been given, fearing Allāh concerning the trust He has entrusted to them.

Nevertheless, parents are human and will make mistakes, wrong judgments, or even commit outright wrongs regarding their children. Perfection belongs only to Allāh. Parents depend on Allāh ﷻ and seek His aid in raising their children because no success will occur in this endeavor except through His assistance and blessings.

Knowing this important point prevents parents from becoming conceited about their skills if they see goodness in their children, for it is Allāh who granted them success. Conversely, if parents see undesirable traits in their children, despite their efforts and teachings, they must recognize it as a test from Allāh. Whether it reflects their own shortcomings or not, it is still a test. Allāh has already informed us that He will test us with our wealth and our children.

If we fall short in our responsibilities, we must return to Him in repentance. If we witness good in our children, we should be grateful to Him and avoid the arrogance of thinking our children are better than others. It is all a test.

The proof of that is that Allāh tested the Prophet Lut with his wife, Nuh with his son, and Ibrahim with his father. All of them went to great lengths in nurturing, advising, and guiding to the best of their abilities. The Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) was tested with his uncle as well.

All that said, as long as we have life, we have the opportunity to repent and make du'a for ourselves and our children. There is no sin or shortcoming too great that Allāh will not forgive. The door of repentance is open, and we must rely on Allāh’s mercy and kindness. It is not for us to lose hope in Allāh's capabilities.

If we despair of Allāh's ability to forgive, it implies that we consider Him weak—a description He is far removed from. No matter the source of our mistakes, Allāh ﷻ is The All-Forgiving, and we should never give up hope as long as Allāh grants us another day.

Parents often burden themselves with guilt over their children's wrongdoings; this is natural. However, Allāh has assured us that no one will be held accountable for the sins of another. Additionally, parents should avoid comparisons and excessive praise of their children. Each parent faces their own test through their children, and to Allāh will all return—parents and children alike.

All praises belong to Allāh, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allāh. To proceed:

I see that many of the posts criticising what occurs during the 'Riyadh Season' are not primarily aimed at condemning wrongdoing but rather appear to target and defame the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the land of the Two Holy sites—may Allāh preserve it and all Muslim lands.

While it is true that certain transgressions may occur, as is the case in any land, they are often magnified, and some aim to incite unrest in the country, seeking to draw it into the same turmoil that has affected other Muslim nations under the guise of rejecting wrongdoing and removing oppression. These revolts, claimed by their advocates to denounce corruption and eliminate injustice, have instead led to widespread rejection, evil, and extensive corruption.

As someone recently acquainted with this blessed land—I entered for ’Umrah and visited Riyadh, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Bisha, and Rijal Almaa—I observed much good in the people, a clear adherence to the principles of Aqeedah, Tawheed, prayer, and modesty. However, the good is often concealed while the negative is publicised, contrary to the objectives of the Shari’ah.

That said, wrongdoing must indeed be condemned, but it should be done in a manner free from greater harm and without aiding the forces of corruption or its perpetrators. Such condemnation can only succeed by adhering strictly to the Shari’ah and returning to the guidance of scholars. It is astonishing that some turn to scholars for rulings on trivial matters yet fail to consult them on critical issues like these. Seek guidance from our esteemed scholars such as Sheikh Al-Fawzan, Sheikh Al-Hajuri, and others—may Allāh preserve them. Refer to the fatwas of reliable scholars.

The transgressions that are so magnified in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 exist elsewhere in even greater prevalence and notoriety, yet they do not face the same scrutiny or the so-called zeal for reform.

Condemn wrongdoing and beware of violations. Who prevents you from denouncing music, free-mixing, or corruption? However, do not align yourself with those of the Ikhwani, Sururi, Rafidhi, or secularist ideologies, nor those living in lands of disbelief and corruption who hypocritically criticise transgressions they themselves indulge in more severely.

I ask Allāh to guide the leaders of the Muslims, rectify their lands, elevate His religion, and make His word supreme. May He protect us from trials, both apparent and hidden. Allāh is the ultimate guide to what is correct.

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

We’re excited to share a FREE eBook that brings to life an authentic and inspiring story narrated by the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and collected in Sahih Bukhari.

One Thousand Gold Coins

In a time long past, a man sought a loan of one thousand gold coins. Another man, trusting in Allah, lent him the money without witnesses or guarantees. When the borrower set out to repay the loan, he encountered an obstacle—no ship was available to take him back. Trusting in Allah, he placed the repayment in a sealed piece of wood and cast it into the sea, praying for Allah’s help. By Allah’s mercy, the lender later found the repayment exactly as sent—a testament to the power of faith, honesty, and reliance on Allah.

This beautifully illustrated eBook shares timeless lessons of trust, integrity, and reliance on Allah, perfect for children and families.

Aqeedah & Tawheed || Level 1

LESSON 1 ⤵️
https://youtu.be/1y4F0wY4M0M?feature=shared

Pdf: https://t.me/madrasatuna/4280

ABOUT THIS SERIES

All praises belong to Allāh, Lord of all worlds. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allāh alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His slave and Messenger. May Allāh extol Him and send abundant peace upon him and his family.

To proceed:

This is the curriculum for the subject of Tawhid (monotheism) and Aqidah (creed) for Level One in the introductory series for beginners in Islamic sciences. We have taken care to design the content in a way that aligns with the students' levels in reading and writing. For this reason, we chose this instructional style, as you see before you, where most lessons incorporate both handwriting and colouring activities, to aid—inshaAllah—in improving literacy skills while also delivering the key principles of Tawhid and Aqidah.

In this curriculum, we have selected several essential topics that are among the most important for beginners to understand regarding the foundations of monotheism and Islamic belief. These selections also align with the number of instructional periods allocated for this subject alongside the other subjects in the first level.

It is worth mentioning that achieving the intended benefit from this book, and others, requires collaboration between the teacher, the student, and the student's guardian. Each one has a responsibility and trust to fulfill. We ask Allāh Almighty to bless the efforts of those devoted to righteousness, to grant us understanding in religion, and to keep us steadfast upon Islam and the Sunnah until our last breath.

All praises belong to Allāh, Lord of all worlds.

Forwarded Advice

To those who lack patience in attending duroos, who give-up and rush to see results... I offer this insight as a gift:

Shu'ayb ibn Harb said, "I heard Shu'bah say, 'I went to Amr ibn Dinar five hundred times, and yet I heard only a hundred hadiths from him.'" [Siyar A'lam An-Nubala, 7/255)]

Here we see Shu'bah attending five hundred times, yet managing to hear only one hundred hadiths. This means he was not granted the opportunity to listen during many of those sessions; still, he did not give up.

As you know, Shu'bah was among the successors of the Tabi'een and, through his perseverance and dedication, became one of the foremost scholars of hadith. Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said, "Shu'bah was, by himself, an Ummah in the field of hadith."

📚#12 Advice/tip to students of knowledge

Stay humble O Talibul Ilm!

Remember the following:

1⃣ The arrogant does not learn. This person is deceived and does not learn and benefit in his ilm.
Mujaahid said: "The shy and the arrogant one will not learn knowledge." (Reported by Bukhaaree in 'Kitaab ul-Ilm')

2⃣ Remember, It is only from Allah's blessing and mercy you are able to worship Allah and seek knowledge. And whatever you have studied, memorised, travelled for seeking ilm, and the worship you do etc, Know, the reality is that it is nothing because as much as you have done and do, you will never give Allah his true right because of how great he is.The Salaf understood this.
Ibnul Qayyim said: I witnessed from Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, something that I did not witness from anyone else. He often would say: ‘I have nothing, nothing is from me, nothing is with me.’   (Madarij As-Salikeen Volume 1 page 520)

Who are we in comparison to Sheikh Islam ibn Taymiyyah in knowledge? The one who has been given the title Sheikh of Al-Islam because of his vast knowledge! If this is him saying this, how can students like us with the small knowledge we have get arrogant and put ourselves in a high position above others?

3⃣ Fear for yourself, rather than looking down at others. You were once misguided but Allah guided you. Fear Allah, because it may be because of your arrogance, Allah will take away this blessing from you and give it to someone else more deserving of it. So do not see yourself ever having a station above the creation. Even if you have been given a position, praise Allah and stay humble.
Al-A'raf 7:146
"I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right"

An-Nisa' 4:133
"If He wills, He can do away with you, O people, and bring others [in your place]. And ever is Allāh competent to do that."

4⃣ From the greatest signs that the knowledge is benefiting you is that it makes you more humble and modest. Know if you see yourself getting arrogant and looking down on others, there is a big problem in how you are seeking ilm as Ibnul Qayim mentioned that the fruit of ilm is it should make you more humble with the creation, have care and compassion for them, not looking down on them but wanting good for them.
This is how Allah described the most knowledgeable and honourable of creation Muhammad ﷺ
At-Taubah 9:128
"There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you [i.e., your guidance] and to the believers is kind and merciful."

💭 REFLECTION OF THE DAY...

Umm Hyatt

If your daily schedule DOES NOT consist of:

💫your Sunnahs before and after Salaah,

💫Nor Salaatu Duha,

💫Nor recitation from the Noble Book of your Creator,

💫Nor memorization of  ahadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ),

💫Nor do you carry out your daily adkhar for the morning and evening….

Then..

DON'T be surprised if you have NOT found within your life happiness or ease.

So, DO NOT rob yourself from the ease of this life or the next.
