Following are the court cases going on regarding revival of two ancient temples in Malappuram.

The litigation is consuming a lot of efforts, time and resources. There are at least 2-3 hearings a month, with deferments, adjournments, awaiting reports etc. The advocate fees adds up nevertheless.

Cholakkara Durga temple, Malappuram: Restoration work is going on regardless.

1. Civil case filed by encroachers to block restoration
2. Civil case on encroachment of temple pond.
3. Criminal case on destruction of temple property by encroachers.

Chandanakandathil Sankaranarayana temple, Malappuram: Revival work has started

1. Civil case filed by encroachers to block temple restoration: Status- A vague order being interpreted against temple. Need to file appeal

2. Criminal case on devotees filed by Kerala police: Status- Ongoing, need to protect our people.

Revival of Cholakkara Durga temple in Malappuram Kerala is a long fight that we must win as a society. The restoration work of Garbagriha till granite layers are completed. Next is the laterite walls and ceiling.

Till date we have overcome all the hurdles set up by extremists. There are multiple court cases going on, petitions before district administration to block temple construction and also physical attempts to block restoration.

Consider making a contribution of Rs 101 towards revival of this ancient temple.

The Garbagriha of Kottapadam Srirama temple in Palakkad, Kerala was completed and temple was handed over to devotees. However political rivalries and infighting caused a stalemate.

This is very painful as this ancient temple was destroyed and Vigraha of Lord Sriram was smashed into pieces during invasion of Tipu Sultan and remaining so ever since.

Its difficult to remain a mute witness as politics wreck our sacred places and prevent its revival. We have decided to complete remaining restoration and restart worship of Lord Sriram.

After consecration ceremonies, daily worship and operations will be taken care by UgraNarasimha Charitable Trust.

There are two ways in which all ancient temples in ruins can be restored.

1. Focusing on revival of individual temples in ruins:
This can easily happen if few Hindu organisations take up the task in each state and the society contributes towards temple restoration.

2. Reforms of applicable legislations and govt policies on Hindu temples in ruins and under encroachment:
This can also happen if society forcefully asserts its demands before political parties in power and their leadership, instead of behaving like their slaves.

Both needs to go hand in hand as one will aid the other.

We will do whatever is possible at our end. Follow and support to enable us do more.

In a newspaper article in the year 1937, Mahatma Gandhi wrote that mosques built after demolition of temples are a "sign of slavery".

Its a weakness of Hindu society that we are not able to settle these disputes by reclaiming them.

Nagamulla Chowarathy temple which is being restored at the scenic Kakkara village, Kannur, Kerala.

Shivling can be found inside Yogini enclosures and also at various places, likely kept after Yoginis were smuggled out.

Revival requires shifting the Shivlings to outside the Yogini Mandir.
