Why Donald REALLY Trump Won

Eleven days ago, the world’s biggest podcaster, Joe Rogan, posted a 3-hour interview with Donald Trump. The video gained over 20 million views in a single day and has now reached 45 million views.

When I saw it after it was published, my first thought was, *this is exactly how Trump would win.* Not a single traditional media outlet, even with multi-million dollar production budgets, has come close to these numbers.

So, the next time someone says, “YouTube is for kids,” just point them to this example.

The best part? If you’ve ever wanted to express yourself and make some passive income on the side, you can start your own channel with almost no budget. All you need is an idea, a willingness to share it with the world, your phone, a $30 clip-on mic, and daylight. That’s it.

No fancy, expensive gear, no advanced editing skills, and you don’t even need flawless language skills (my English isn’t perfect either, haha).

Just bring a little passion and dedicate 5 hours a week to start it as a side hustle.

If you’re unsure how to start, I’m running a free online workshop called *YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income*, where you’ll:

- Discover your niche and its profit potential
- Find the fastest way to get your first 1,000 subscribers
- Overcome common fears and create your first video (finally!)
- Learn how to outsmart the YouTube algorithm
- Get a roadmap to build your YouTube side project and start generating passive income

Book your free spot here: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/6/925q4ak

P.S. Whatever your political views, I want to help you find success in life using YouTube as a powerful tool. See you at the workshop!

It's been two years since I seriously started working on my YouTube channel, 'Max Chernov'. Before that, I was running a fairly large social media marketing agency. At its peak, we had 45 employees, and over the years, I completely burned out since founding it.

I originally started that business to give myself more freedom. But in reality, the opposite happened. There were too many processes, too many people to manage, and, overall, I just grew tired of that industry.

So, when I gradually shut down the operations and shifted my focus to YouTube, I felt an incredible sense of relief.

Now, two years after launching the channel, I pay close attention to a few key things:

1. Keeping expenses lean
2. Not growing the team just for the sake of growth
3. Focusing on making money, not just the creative side
4. Ensuring the business doesn’t take a toll on my life
5. Creating content that I genuinely enjoy

This project now brings me far more satisfaction, more income, and more freedom than my previous business ever did.

I want to share with you how I built it and how you can start your own YouTube channel as a side hustle, even if you don’t know how to edit videos, feel nervous in front of the camera, or have no idea where to begin.

This Friday, I’m hosting a free online workshop on how to start, grow, and monetize your YouTube channel. By participating, you’ll:

- Understand your niche, how competitive it is, and how to monetize it
- Learn how to beat the YouTube algorithm and create viral videos that will quickly get you your first 1,000 subscribers
- Overcome your fears and create your first video during the workshop itself
- Get a step-by-step guide on how to generate $2,000–$10,000 from your YouTube channel

I don’t often make this workshop free, so don’t miss your chance to join!

Grab your spot here: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/6/925q4ak

See you online!

In June, we traveled to France and Italy (first time without the kids in a long while, haha), and I decided to film a video about whether I could return to Europe after living in Asia for 6 years.

We arrived in the summer, and it was warm (well, almost) and sunny. While driving nearly 4,000 km, I spent the trip trying to form an opinion about life in Europe, based on my experience living in Singapore and Asia overall. I also wanted to refresh my memories of living there, as I had spent 5 years in Ireland, France, and the UK before.

I also spoke with several people who have lived in France and Switzerland for over 10 years each. In the end, I came up with 13 criteria to compare life in Singapore with life in Europe. Can you guess who came out on top? 🙂

Check out the video we’ve been working on for several months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLYM7_1bqEo

Why am I running an interview-based YouTube channel?

When I started filming and uploading my first videos, I didn’t have a clear vision of what the format would be. I just knew I wanted it to be connected to Singapore.

I decided that I would experiment with content and formats for 6 months. I tried talking head videos, vlogs, reaction videos, different types of interviews, and after 4.5 months, the interview format with expats living in Singapore started to take off.

Could I have predicted which format and content would work? Absolutely not!

I know many people struggle with choosing a niche. To help you with that, today I’ll be hosting a free online workshop where you will discover your niche along with its profit potential, and learn how to start, grow, and make $10k a month from your YouTube channel.

I postponed starting my YouTube channel for a couple of years.

There was always something else going on. I had a social media marketing agency that was my main source of income, so that’s where my focus and time were dedicated.

But I really wanted to launch a YouTube channel related to life in Singapore.

Why did I keep postponing it? Even I wasn’t entirely sure. Probably some internal fears—like making a mistake or wasting time and effort. I even went to a therapist about it. And you know what? It helped! After 2 years of postponing, I finally took the first step and launched the channel.

And in just 2 months, the first videos started gaining traction. It was an incredible feeling. Another month later, I got my first sponsor who paid $300 for a 1-minute sponsored segment in a video. Then another for $300, then $500, and then $1,000!

These weren’t astronomical amounts, especially compared to what I was earning with my SMM agency at the time, but they were the first very satisfying results from this new project!

Looking back, I clearly see that I should have started sooner! Not overthink, not doubt, not try to calculate everything in advance, but just take action and… START!

And wow, how I would have regretted it if I hadn’t done it!

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own YouTube channel but just can’t seem to begin, make sure to join my free online workshop, *YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income*, this Friday!

You will:

- Discover your niche along with its profit potential
- Determine the fastest way to get your first 1,000 subscribers
- Overcome common fears and finally create your first video
- Understand how to outsmart the YouTube algorithm
- Receive a roadmap to create your side project on YouTube and generate passive income

P.S. Don’t regret a year from now that you didn’t start today.

Today I’m 40.

It sounds scary. This milestone has weighed on me for the past year. It feels like I’m not where I should be at this age.

I’ve always thought I was free from society’s expectations, and I’ve mostly lived my life doing what I wanted, not what others expected of me. But my own expectations are a different story. I often feel like I’m behind and need to catch up.

I need to make more money, achieve more in my career.

People are often surprised when they learn that I started my YouTube channel almost from scratch just two years ago, especially when they see how far we've come. But for me, there’s always that nagging feeling: we’re growing too slowly, we could be making more money, we could have a much bigger audience.

So, in the back of my mind, it’s always there: we’re not good enough, I’m not good enough.

But that’s the emotional side. Rationally, when I look back, I realize how awesome my life really is.

In terms of work, I feel like I’ve finally found MY thing, something I’ve been searching for all these years.

My career started at a pretty low level.

As a student, I worked as a waiter, cleaner, and mover. After graduation, I was an electrical engineer at a large Russian plant producing aluminum. I still remember standing outside at 6 PM on a Friday night, in -20 degrees Celsius, trying to fix a CCTV camera on the plant’s perimeter.

It was awful.

By Sunday, I was already dreading having to go back to work the next day.

But I was never willing to accept that this was how my life would be.

Step by step, I found jobs that were more suitable for me. At one point, I was a brand manager for Gucci, which was already pretty cool. But I was still searching, still experimenting. I knew I wanted MY OWN project instead of being a tiny cog in the big corporate machine.

So, 10 years ago, I left and started my own thing. Fast forward through countless ups and downs, and here I am. I get to interview super interesting people in different places, brands pay me for sponsorship deals (the biggest one so far was $24,000 SGD for a 1-minute sponsored segment), and I have a small team of four incredible people—the best teammates I’ve ever had!

But most importantly, I genuinely 100% love what I do!

Do I still have that “I’m not good enough” feeling? Of course! But now, on my 40th birthday, I can say with all my heart—it’s okay!

This Friday, I’m running a free online workshop where I’ll share my corporate and business journey and then teach you how to start, grow, and monetize a YouTube channel to generate passive income—and who knows, maybe even turn this side hustle into your main job.

We’ll discover your niche, explore its profit potential, learn the fastest way to get your first 1,000 subscribers, and help you overcome your fears and create your first video.

So, sign up for the free online workshop here: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/6/925q4ak

And for now, I’m off to celebrate and try to wrap my head around the fact that I’m 40! Haha. Hugs. See you on Friday!

How to Turn Your Passion into YouTube Profits!

After interviews, my guests often ask me about my YouTube project and are surprised to learn that it’s not just a hobby, but a full-fledged business that allows me to live in Singapore (not the cheapest city in the world).

When we start discussing it deeper, I usually explain why I think that being a YouTuber is one of the best jobs:

1) Low entry barrier to start. You just need an idea, a phone, and a $20 lapel microphone. That's it.

2) You can work remotely from any location. Just need WiFi and sunlight.

3) A well-established channel can bring in a lot of money. More than a good corporate job.

4) A YouTube channel can create many sources of passive, semi-passive, and active income. We currently have 10 – brand deals, ad revenue from YouTube, affiliate products (we have 5), and our own products (we have 3).

5) If you find your favorite topic and content niche, this work becomes super fulfilling and never boring.

So, if you've ever thought of starting a YouTube channel to create more income streams for you and your family, I can help you start this journey.

I will be hosting a free 3-day online workshop “YouTube Fast Track to Views and Profits.” I will share the latest trends and insights essential for your successful start on YouTube in 2024-2025.

Flying to Europe! The goal is to make a video on this trip. The working title is “Can I Live in Europe After Asia?”

I’ll be in France, Switzerland, and Italy, so I’ll reflect my thoughts by comparing Singapore (and Asia overall) with Europe.

My main criteria are lifestyle, business opportunities, community, cost of living, and weather.

I also plan to shoot a few interviews with expats over there. Let’s see how it goes.

PS. Do I look French enough for my first stop in Paris?

"Before doing business, we go makan (eat) first"

That’s what you'll often hear in Asia.

Most deals are done once the relationship between parties is strong enough. However, many still mistakenly think that to find a good job, close a client, or raise investments, you only need to be an expert in your field. Yes, it's important, but it's not enough.

Let me share how I saved a ton of money through networking, which is essentially the skill of building relationships.

Yesterday, I had my third strategic marketing call with someone whose individual consulting costs USD 50,000. He consults me for free! Here's how:

I met him at the right time and place (I was a speaker at a major conference he attended), built and nurtured relationships with him and his wife (decision-makers often include close relatives), and offered expertise in an area he values (I advised him on launching his YouTube channel).

The result: significant savings and a large-scale project I'll launch under his guidance this fall, which should bring significant profits to my business.

So, if you haven't realized it yet—there's a direct link between networking and your income.

I’ve packed my insights into an online workshop happening on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5 PM (9 AM GMT). *If you can't join live, opt for the recordings after signing up.

You will learn how to:
- Connect with Like-minded People: Easily expand your social circle in genuine, enjoyable ways.
- Showcase Your Value: Effectively highlight your unique strengths to grab attention.
- Break Out of Your Shell: Use simple strategies to meet new people, including potential clients and investors—ideal for introverts.
- Become a Better Speaker: Enhance your communication and public speaking skills to make a memorable impact.
- Foster Lasting Bonds: Streamline and strengthen your relationships and build a supportive network.

Bonus content includes:
- 5 techniques for comfortable business introductions
- 30 conversation-starting phrases
- A self-presentation script that distinguishes you from the crowd
- 3 strategies to enter the right social circles
- 7 methods to maintain connections efficiently

(английский) Just got back to Singapore from a weekend holiday in Thailand and found a bunch of messages from folks who've signed up for the 3-day online workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income." I'm pretty stoked.

As I guessed, the number one goal for most people who want to start a YouTube channel is to reach financial freedom. Not surprising, right?

But what really got me is the second biggest goal: to share their knowledge and inspire others! That's so refreshing!

And yes, I can tell you from experience, both these goals can absolutely be reached with a YouTube channel.

Alright, we're just a few days away; we start next Tuesday, Apr 2nd, with my online YouTube workshop.

So, if you've been thinking about starting a side hustle, creating another stream of income, and sharing your skills or creativity with the world while getting paid for it, it might be time to consider starting a YouTube channel. I've been there and can help you skip some trial and error. I'll personally guide you, help you save time, find your niche, and get started on YouTube smoothly.

To get my help, sign up for the 3-day online workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income."

How I Decided to Start My Own Business

I graduated from university as an engineer in the automation of manufacturing processes. While working for someone else, I always had this itch to try something of my own. However, it was unclear which niche to enter and what my advantage over others would be.

Finally, after much deliberation, at the age of 30, while still working as a marketer at a company (yes, after engineering, I had already made a drastic career change once), I decided to start a blog. Not a video blog, but an old-school text blog.

It wasn't easy. After work, I'd come home and, after dinner, when my girlfriend went to sleep, I'd stay up until 3 AM working on the blog. Back in 2014, everything was much more technically challenging - to make a website, you almost had to become a bit of a programmer.

After a year of this routine, I left my main job and fully immersed myself in my projects. Ten years later, after many ups and downs, I can say I don't regret choosing this path for a second.

However, if I were starting now, the first thing I'd do is launch a YouTube channel. In terms of earning potential and self-realization, I don't know of any other tool as powerful as this.

If you've ever thought about starting your own YouTube channel, then you need to be at my 3-day online workshop, where I'll show and tell you how to start on YouTube in 2024, how to choose a niche, get lots of views, and make money from them.

And who knows, maybe YouTube will become your main full-time activity like it did for me (or maybe not, and it remains a nice side hustle project with a small but pleasant passive income, which is also great).

So, grab your spot for the workshop happening on April 2-4 here: https://max-chernov.mykajabi.com/pl/2148297269

See you soon!

How My YouTube Channel Bought Me an Apartment in Thailand

I've always loved shooting videos. As a child, around the age of 10, our family got a VHS camera, which I practically never let go of - walking around, filming, and commenting on everything happening. We were living in Vladivostok, Russia, back then (the country's easternmost city, close to Japan). Today, you might call that a YouTube vlog 🙂

Could I have ever imagined that after living in Western Russia, Europe, and the US, I would return to Asia, where video production would become my profession and this career would earn me an apartment in Phuket?

Life is strange indeed. Before diving into YouTube, I started as an engineer in a German company, then worked as a marketer in an American one, and only years later did I create my first YouTube channel - in Russian, with expert content on online marketing, now boasting 300,000 subscribers.

Now, I'm a full-time YouTuber, but in a completely different niche. I film interviews with expats in various locations. I started this channel a year and a half ago from absolute zero without any audience in those countries.

I want to share how I managed to launch and grow two channels in completely different niches (educational and entertainment) in different languages, implementing the same strategy. I’ll do this in an online 3-Day Live Workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income."

It will take place on April 2, 3, 4. By participating, you will:

• Discover your unique niche along with its profit potential.
• Learn techniques to generate an endless stream of creative ideas.
• Determine the fastest way to get your first 1,000 subscribers.
• Overcome fears like being camera shy or fearing judgment from others, and make your first video!
• Learn how to outplay the YouTube algorithm to generate a large number of views for every video, even with a small number of subscribers.

➡️ Reserve your spot for free here: https://max-chernov.mykajabi.com/pl/2148297269

P.S. If you've ever thought about starting a YouTube channel but kept putting it off, participating in this workshop will be the best decision of your life!
