Uma turista japonesa de 46 anos foi resgatada de helicóptero ontem após cair numa área restrita no Cais do Sardinha, Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, Caniçal.
Os bombeiros de Machico, uma equipa da Sanas-Madeira e o helicóptero do Serviço Regional de Proteção Civil.
Uma vez que o incidente ocorreu numa zona proibida, a turista poderá ter de pagar os custos do resgate, que começam nos 753,25€, acrescidos de taxas adicionais para o pessoal envolvido e o tempo de voo.

For all other venues, the doors will close by 2 AM, and even that will be a rare exception! ⏰
The rules from 2015 are getting a major update, with different hours based on the type of business and location. Stay tuned for more details as Funchal redefines its nightlife!

👩🚒 The Volunteer Firefighters of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol, along with the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters, are heading back to battle the flames. Civil Protection's helicopter may be deployed if the situation demands.

💡 A new model for the social mobility subsidy is in place, but residents of Madeira must continue to cover the cost of traveling between Madeira, mainland Portugal, and the Azores.
🚀 The only real change for now? The refund process will become digital, simplifying things. No more dealing with CTT and its paperwork! The Regional Government, represented by Eduardo Jesus, hasn’t given up on ensuring that Madeirans pay just €86 for a round trip, though this has been promised for years. 🙌
🏅 Speaking at the tourism merit awards, the regional tourism secretary highlighted the aim of reducing bureaucracy. The goal is to make life easier by utilizing tech for the refund process and eliminating paperwork. This tech solution has long been proposed by Madeira to the national government. 💻

🚨 Tragic Discovery on Vigário Beach 🚨
Yesterday, the body of a man in his 40s was found on Praia do Vigário in Câmara de Lobos. The Judicial Police (PJ) are currently investigating the cause of death, which remains unclear. 🌊
Missing since Saturday, a report had been filed with Public Security on Sunday. The man’s body was discovered by a diver at a depth of 5 meters. Authorities quickly responded, and forensic divers were called in to recover the body. 🕵️♂️⚖️
The remains were later transported to Pier 8 in Funchal as investigations continue.

🔻 The price of 95 petrol will be capped at 1.503 euros per liter, a decrease of 3.6 cents. Meanwhile, simple diesel will not exceed 1.255 euros per liter, a reduction of 1.9 cents. 💶
Currently, 95 octane petrol costs 1.539 euros per liter, and regular diesel is priced at 1.274 euros. Despite the Regional Government beginning to roll back some of the tax benefits on fuel, prices continue to fall, offering some relief at the pump for Madeira residents. 🚘

INE data, which confirms the preliminary estimates released on August 30th, shows that over the past 12 months (excluding housing costs), the average variation in the price index was 2.16%. This percentage serves as the basis for the coefficient used in the annual rent update under the New Urban Lease Regime (NRAU). 🏠
🗓️ The final values for rent updates must be published in the Official Gazette by October 30th. After that, landlords can notify tenants of the rent increase. However, the increase can only take effect 30 days after this notice is given. 📬

FLIGHT DIVERTED DUE TO WIND AT MADEIRA AIRPORT
The easyJet flight from Berlin, which was supposed to land at Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport at 11:10 am today, was diverted to Porto Santo Airport due to the wind in Santa Cruz. So far, this was the only flight that had diverted, after the maximum wind gust reached 70 km/h, at 9 am.
