The St Catherine South police are reporting that the leader of the One Order criminal gang, who was killed on Wednesday night, was among the five prime targets under the initiative being pursued by the National Joint Anti-gang Task Force to rid the country of organised criminal groups.

The gang leader was Othneil Lobban, otherwise called 'Thick Man'.

Lobban was shot and killed in a confrontation with members of the anti-gang task force in the vicinity of Six Miles in St Andrew around 10 PM on Wednesday.

It's understood that over the past few days, he switched between multiple safe havens across different parishes, as he sought to elude members of the anti-gang task force who were hot on his heels.

The task force felt it had cornered Lobban in Ellerslie Pen on Wednesday morning, but met fierce resistance from gunmen who engaged them in a shootout.
