About the Job

Job Purpose:

To supervise and maintain all farmland are free from pesticide, herbicides etc.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Designs and conducts periodic reviews and appraisals of the situation of plant pest and pesticide problems in the farm,

Advice the farm manager on necessary actions to implement pest and pesticide management techniques,

Prepare pest assessment schedule (Variety, Plot),

Prepare pest assessment reports in type of pests, stage of the pest and/or the attack level and submits the report daily for decision,

Collect samples of unknown pests and weeds and submits for his nearest boss for identification,

Assess the post spraying the pest control chemical efficacy,

Keep records of sprayed plots and varieties regularly,

Inspect the chemical spraying activity on the field and check the technic and condition of spraying, recommend corrective action,

Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Description Summary

The purpose of the Food Commodity Distributor position is to receive, arrange and distribute food commodities to project participants. She/he recordes and keeps all the necessary food commodity and project participants related documents. Responsible to provide quality commodity management, effective distribution and accurate reporting and documentation on all commodity distributions handled by World Vision.


Job Description

Food Commodity Management and Control

Ensure that all food commodities entrusted to World Vision arriving at distribution centers are properly accounted for.

Inspect all waybills for commodities arriving at the distribution centers.

Ensure that the commodities are of correct quantities and quality as manifested on the waybill.

Immediately record all quantities delivered short (missing), quantities lost in transit and quantities damaged if any (In the field and FDP).

Commodities must carefully be counted during off-loading

At the distribution center, commodities must be stacked in an organized manner, by commodity type to facilitate easy distribution.

Records and keeps all the necessary documents in well-organized manner

All observations must be recorded immediately.

Food Distribution Management

Take active role in the registration and verification of project participants to ensure that the process is fair.

Organize and supervise food distributions and equipment / materials in the field and FDPs.

Ensure that commodities must be properly stacked on plastic sheet at distribution center.

Ensure that the distribution center is properly organized and secured with ropes and crowd control measures put in place to ensure smooth distribution and flow of beneficiaries.

Responsible to ensure that all necessary distribution equipment’s are available at the distributions center, including forms, ropes, banners, plastic sheets, measuring devices etc.

Supervise loading of food that is left over after distributions. Ensure that a waybill is prepared for food to be returned to the warehouse.

Coordination

Receives master participants lists and commodities for distribution, checks for correctness and arrange in groups to facilitate efficient distribution;

Coordinate with community mobilizers and verify beneficiary identity and eligibility

Prepares periodic/weekly food distribution status to immediate supervisor and reports the amount of food distributed and returned to warehouse.

Reports and Documentation

Prepare daily distribution center visit reports and submit to commodity distribution reports.

Ensure proper completion and safe return of all tally documents and participants lists to the office for safe storage;

Ensure proper accounting of all quantities of commodities received and distributed at each center;

Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.



About You

Required Professional Experience

Candidates should have at least 1 year’s previous experience in similar positions.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

Prospective candidates should have Minimum Diploma/ BA/BSc Food Science, Food Security Studies, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration / Project Management, Disaster Management, Agriculture and related fields.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

This position requires a mature candidate, a self-starter, with dedication and ability to work with less or no supervision.

Must demonstrate willingness to learn and work with others as a team.

Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel frequently with difficult environment, harsh and demanding conditions.

"  ከ2017 የትምህርት ዘመን ጀምሮ የሪሚዲያል ተማሪዎች የማጠቃለያ ምዘና ከ100% የሚሰጠው ከማዕከል ነው " - ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር

ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር በአቅም ማካካሻ (Remedial) ፕሮግራም ውጤት አያያዝ ላይ ማሻሻያ አደረገ፡፡

ከ2015 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ከ50 በመቶ በታች ውጤት ካገኙ የ12ኛ ክፍል የመልቀቂያ ፈተና ተፈታኝ ተማሪዎች መካከል የተሻለ ውጤት ያላቸውን በመምረጥ በከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት በማካካሻ (Remedial) ፕሮግራም ተመድበው የማካካሻ ትምህርት እንዲከታተሉ መደረጉ ይታወቃል።

በዚህ መሠረት ተማሪዎቹ 70% በማዕከል እና 30% በተቋማት የሚዘጋጁ ምዘናዎችን ተፈትነው ሲያልፉ የፍሬሽማን ፕሮግራም ተማሪዎች ሆነው እንዲቀጥሉ እየተደረገ ይገኛል።

ይሁን እንጂ ከ30% በተቋማት የሚሰጠው ውጤት አሰጣጥ ላይ ወጥነት የሌለ መሆኑን የትምህርት ሚኒስትሩ ለሁሉም የመንግስት ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች እና የግል ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት በፃፉት ሰርኩላር ገልፀዋል፡፡

በዚህም ዘንድሮ / ከ2017 የትምህርት ዘመን ጀምሮ የሪሚዲያል ተማሪዎች የማጠቃለያ ምዘና ፈተና ከ100% የሚሰጠው ከማዕከል እንዲሆን ተወስኗል፡፡
