To say rewarding insinuates to me that I was doing something for a reaction. While that is partly true it’s just plain fun to share traditions with my kids. No my family aside from a few Southern Germans were from the Alps, but it doesn’t matter. Instead of watching some ridiculous movie or have someone else tell them, I lit a little tea light shadow caster and told them a story myself. To first scare them then reassure them if they’re good kids Krampus won’t even come will have me smiling for a week.

Tradition is fun. Our culture is fun. Being White is fun.

I present to you my latest hand woven, one of a kind shawl.

'Abundant Harvest'

This is a multi purpose textile, handwoven on my loom with 100% natural wool from US-raised sheep wool. The colors are warm pumpkin, olive green, and oat. This shawl can be used for a lifetime and beyond in all ages- as a shawl or throw, or anytime soft, warm comfort is needed.

The pattern is hand loomed and the edges are hemmed and finished for long lasting use.

Available for purchase at $325 + shipping and sales tax, which is my asking price for this one of a kind handcrafted piece.

(I will offer a sliding scale folk price point of $300 or $275 + shipping & tax)

My first finished piece in a long, long time. I really enjoyed weaving this organic cotton and raw silk scarf. Remembering the beautiful gardens and happy memories from our old farm as the threads passed through my hands.

This piece has reignited my passion for fiber arts. I'm really excited to contribute it to the benefit art auction for my friend, a recently widowed mother and incredible artist. I'm naming this piece 'Wunjo' (pronounced "woon-yo) after the Wunjo rune which represents joy and comfort. I hope it brings its new owner much joy. 🤍

I have organized an art auction to benefit my dear friend J of Arcane Accents. Her husband unexpectedly and tragically passed away recently and our wonderful art community has come together and donated exquisite pieces to raise money for J and her young son.

The auction is now live. There will be five items in each round. Bidding lasts 2 days. There will be one off day in between rounds for me to finalize transactions. There are tons of exquisite donations so stick around for a spell! This is a unique and fantastic opportunity to snag handcrafted artisan goods made by our Folk for the holidays or for yourself - and for such a wonderful cause.

As a crafter, these visuals are beyond a delight!

As a heathen, I am honored to adorn Íris as she observes Þorrablót, a midwinter sacrificial feast and celebration.

Þorrablót is named after the winter month Þorri, the 4th of the 6 winter months according to the Old Norse and Icelandic calendar. This month is mentioned in the Grágás Staðarhólsbók from the 13th century.

There is mention of Þorrablót in the Orkneyinga Saga and also the Flateyjarbók where it is called “Hversu Noregr bygðist” and “Funndin Noregur.”

I’m continually amazed by The Witch Mother’s talent. The colors and pattern she selected for these earrings are stunning and amplify the enchanting essence of the swastika symbol. When exposed to sunlight, they truly come alive, infused with the vibrant energy of Sól. ☀️
