Condolence Notice
Dear Addis Ababa University Community,
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our senior staff member legend Dr. Befekadu Degife, CoBE, Department of Economics.
The College extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Dr. Befekadu contributions to Addis Ababa University, Ethiopian Economics Association and World Bank.
The Department of Economics, and the College will be long remembered.
A senior legend who used to help the sick in his village and give pocket money to underpriviliged women students. He is also known for participating in panel discussions in the College.
A funeral will be held today January 10 2025 at Keranyo Medehanialem church at 3:00 PM.

A collaborative Public Lecture by the Ethiopian Security Exchange (ESX) and the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) at the College of Business and Economics, AAU, will feature on "The Capital Market Ecosystem". It is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This educational session targets academic staff and students. The lecture intends to delve into the intricacies of capital markets, their frameworks, and the potentials they present. This initiative promises to significantly enhance both academic and professional growth within our community.
Attached is the document outlining the selected discussion areas for students to explore before attending the public lecture. There will be award-winning questions based on these discussions. The competition questions are mobile-based and may require approximately 10 minutes of internet connectivity. In addition, enclosed herewith herewith program schedule and the event poster.

Students who have already taken the AAU GAT exam this year and scored above 40% for the Master's program or above 50% for the PhD program are not required to retake the exam. They can apply directly to the relevant departments when registration opens.

ስምምነቱን የፈረሙት የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝዳንት ሳሙኤል ክፍሌ ( ፒ.ኤች.ዲ) እና በፖርቹጋል የውጭ ጉዳይና ትብብር ዋና ፀሀፊ ክቡር ኑኖ ሳሞፒዮ ናቸው።
ስምምነቱ በትምህርት ዲፕሎማሲው ዘርፈ ብዙ የትብብር መስኮችን ጨምሮ በዓለማችን በአራተኛ ደረጃ ብዙ ተናጋሪ ያለውን የፖርቹጋል ቋንቋን በአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለማስተማር የሚያስችል ነው፡፡
