Congratulations to Mufti Ismail sahab on being elected as Malegaon MLA for a second time. I am thankful to the people of Maharashtra who voted for us in large numbers. To our candidates, party workers and supporters, I urge you all to not lose heart and work with renewed resolve. If anything, the election results show that the people are looking for a genuine political alternative and that Majlis has established itself in Maharashtra’s politics.

Faruk Shah, Farooq Shabdi and Ateeque Ahmad Khan especially put a formidable fight in their seats & inshallah their perseverance will pay off in the future.

Imtiaz jaleel led the party in a tough battle & and his own seat wasn’t easy. But I am confident that he will bounce back again inshallah. Imtiaz Jaleel is not a typical politician, and I sure that this is just a hiccup in his political journey.

मीरापुर, मुज़फ्फरनगर के ककरौली गाँव में झूठे केस लगा कर AIMIM के कार्यकर्ताओं को निशाना बनाया जा रहा है। कम अज़ कम 80 कार्यकर्ताओं पर केस लगाया गया है। वो ख़्वातीन जिन्होंने चुनाव के दौरान पुलिस की गुंडागर्दी के ख़िलाफ़ हिम्मत दिखाई थी, उन पर भी झूठे मुक़दमे लगाये हैं। योगी का प्रशासन नहीं कुशासन है।

The Babri Masjid judgement has emboldened Hindutva groups to target Muslim places of worship across India. Look at the case of Shahi Jama Masjid at Chandausi, Sambhal, UP. Within three hours of the application being submitted, the Civil Judge ordered an initial survey at the mosque site to find out if a temple had been demolished to build the mosque. The application was made by a lawyer who is the UP govt’s standing counsel in SC. The survey was carried out on the same day. This is how Babri’s locks were also opened within an hour of the court order, without even hearing the other side.

This “speed” isn’t shown in ordinary cases. If courts continue to carry out such orders, the Places of Worship Act is just a dead-letter. The Act was meant to prevent such litigation from even reaching courts in the first place.

A masjid that has been used as such for hundreds of years is being made subject to motivated and communal litigation. Courts must nip this in the bud.

My condolences to @KaramKomi & his younger brother @kapskom on the sad demise of his mother & Ex MLA Komireddi Jyothi Devi ,she entered the then AP legislative Assembly in 1998 ( i was an mla ) by winning a bye election she was a politician who stood by her principles never compromised on the secular ideology ,she even went against her party and protested  against my arrest by the then ruling party ,she came to the Musheerabad Jail along with her Husband late Mr Komireddy Ramulu and met me .
