The relevant sections of the AP Hindu Endowments Act are section 3(2) [Commissioner or below cannot be a non-Hindu], section 12 [Inspector must be a Hindu], section 19(1)(j) [Trustee can be removed if they aren’t Hindu]. Sections 28 [a trustee can be removed if they are not Hindu], Section 29 [executive officer must be a Hindu]. Section 96(2) disqualifies a Trustee if he isn’t a Hindu.

Now TTD doesn’t even want non-Hindu employees. But Waqf should not only compulsorily have non-Muslims, but they can be the majority of members!

Take a look at the AP Hindu Endowments Act: a Trustee cannot be a non-Hindu; no Commissioner or Assistant Commissioner etc can be a non-Hindu; even the inspector under Section 12 cannot be a non-Hindu. The Act under section 96 says the same thing about TTD

Now what is the Waqf Bill doing?
-Non-Muslims cannot dedicate waqf
-BUT at least TWO members of MUSLIM CWC and MUSLIM Waqf Boards should be non-Muslim
-A majority of CWC or Waqf Boards can be non-Muslim
-Earlier these members were elected, they will now be nominated by the govt, and the govt is very capable of having a non-Muslim majority CWC/Board. Why such hatred against democratic elections?

If only Hindus should govern Hindu Endowments, and only Hindus should be employees. Then why this discrimination againstMuslim Waqfs? @ncbn

It is being reported that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has identified 18 employees that are not following Hindu traditions or are non-Hindu. TTD argues that since it is a Hindu institution, non-Hindus shouldn’t be employed by it. We have no objection to it. But @ncbn should explain why his party supported BJP’s Waqf Bill in the Joint Working Committee. The Bill mandates a minimum of two non-Muslims in Central Waqf Council and State Waqf Board. The Bill also removes the requirement that the Council and the Board should have a majority of Muslims.

The demolitions in #Dwarka #Gujarat were targeted against Muslims, their places of worship & qabrasthans. They were in brazen violation of Supreme Court orders. The demolished qabrasthans & dargah were recognised as such in government records. The govt never challenged their status & the recent demolitions happened without following principles of natural justice. This is highly condemnable. The demolitions also prove why the Modi govt wants to amend the Waqf Bill and weaken protections against Waqf.

What is the @narendramodi govt’s China policy? The solemn protest on new Chinese districts in Ladakh and request for consideration on the new dam on Brahmaputra are not going to move Beijing. Do we have any plan to get the patrolling rights for our soldiers restored in Galwan, Hot Spring, Gogra, Pangong and Kailash range? Have we completely given up on restoration of status quo of April 2020 in eastern Ladakh?
A decade after Modi became the PM, our armed forces have not been given adequate resources to be modernised and prepared for tackling two adversaries. Why is the IAF in doldrums with its depleted strength of fighter squadrons, AWACS, mid-air refuelllers? Why has the third aircraft carrier not been sanctioned for the Navy? Why is the army short of 2 lakh soldiers now?
It is not only India’s internal security which is being mismanaged completely, particularly in the northeastern states but especially Manipur. Equally worrying is this mishandling of India’s external security, where the constant attempts to politicise the armed forces are likely to worsen matters. And our diplomacy is reduced to Mr Modi gifting expensive diamonds to Ms Jill Biden.
The Modi government allows no debate on these serious issues in the parliament. The Indian public is being kept in the dark, distracted by trivia and random entertainment as the country suffers on most fronts. I know that there will be no answers from  Mr Modi, because he has none except uncontrolled vitriol, hatred and violence against Muslims under his watch.

सुल्तान-ए-हिन्द ख़्वाजा मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती (RA) भारत के मुसलमानों के सबसे अहम औलिया इकराम में से एक हैं। उनके आस्तान पर सदियों से लोग जा रहे हैं और जाते रहेंगे इंशाअल्लाह। कई राजा, महाराजा, शहंशाह, आए और चले गये, लेकिन ख़्वाजा अजमेरी का आस्तान आज भी आबाद है। 1991 का इबादतगाहों का क़ानून साफ़ कहता है के किसी भी इबादतगाह की मज़हबी पहचान को तब्दील नहीं किया जा सकता, ना अदालत में इन मामलों की सुनवाई होगी। ये अदालतों का  क़ानूनी फ़र्ज़ है के वो 1991 एक्ट को अमल में लायें। बहुत ही अफ़सोसनाक बात है के हिंदुत्व तंज़ीमों का एजेंडा पूरा करने के लिए क़ानून और संविधान की धज्जियाँ उड़ायी जा रहीं हैं और @narendramodi चुप चाप देख रहे हैं।

The Babri Masjid judgement has emboldened Hindutva groups to target Muslim places of worship across India. Look at the case of Shahi Jama Masjid at Chandausi, Sambhal, UP. Within three hours of the application being submitted, the Civil Judge ordered an initial survey at the mosque site to find out if a temple had been demolished to build the mosque. The application was made by a lawyer who is the UP govt’s standing counsel in SC. The survey was carried out on the same day. This is how Babri’s locks were also opened within an hour of the court order, without even hearing the other side.

This “speed” isn’t shown in ordinary cases. If courts continue to carry out such orders, the Places of Worship Act is just a dead-letter. The Act was meant to prevent such litigation from even reaching courts in the first place.

A masjid that has been used as such for hundreds of years is being made subject to motivated and communal litigation. Courts must nip this in the bud.
