Waste Management Sales Representative
Somerset West, Western Cape
Basic Salary based on experience and commission on a sliding scale.
Leading waste management company based in Stellenbosch & Somerset West is recruiting for an experienced Sales Representative with at least 4 -5 yearsβ experience.
The company is contracted to provide certain services to its clients. In order to increase turnover, the sales person will need to ensure a continuous supply of new contracts and additional contracts from existing clients. In addition, the sales person will need to ensure the satisfaction of existing clients by regular contact with existing client managers.
The ideal incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
β’ Client Liaison
β’ Develop relationships with all clients in the Western Cape and maintain them to ensure that the companyβs service is up to standard
β’ Ensure that clients renew their contracts every year and apply the relevant increases
β’ Adhere to the relevant systems / policies / procedures which are put in place, to provide satisfactory service throughout the region
Responsibilities
β’ Encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty
β’ Capture all required information at key points in the customer life cycle
β’ Work closely with all departments to ensure the CRM system works effectively for all aspects of the company
β’ Overseeing direct communication with customers
β’ Conduct face-to-face visits with all clients, at least once every 3-months
β’ Ensure that premium clients are visited on a more frequent basis (face-to-face meetings, more than once every 3-months)
β’ Communicate effectively with the management of the company
β’ Obtain and follow-up on possible new leads / referrals and quote as required
β’ Provide feedback to the managers meeting on service ratings from clients on a monthly basis
β’ Communicate effectively with the operations managers
β’ Escalate any concerns or queries to the relevant person, if necessary
β’ Creating reports that include percentages / recycling numbers of clients, their feedback from the service ratings and as well as complaints and compliments
β’ Communicate with staff on site about their wellbeing and provide feedback on staff morale to operations managers and admin manager
β’ Ensure that client escalations are implemented on an annual basis or as necessary
β’ Communicate with operations with regards to annual increases pertaining to costings
β’ Monitor operations in terms of efficiencies and give input to the operations managers and owner where necessary
β’ Assist operations, where possible and within reasonable boundaries
β’ Monitor company performance against service level agreements and flag potential issues
β’ Attend, plan and support the companyβs events or other related expos / functions
Qualification:
β’ Matric
β’ A formal Environmental or Waste Management qualification (or similar) will be advantageous
β’ At least 5 yearsβ experience in the waste/recycling industry of which 3 years should be in a sales capacity
β’ Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
β’ Driverβs license with own vehicle (Willing to travel)
