The Women Scholars and Their Modesty

Hafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullah) says;

And we often find that the (great) status of women was unknown and the reason for that was their shyness (modesty) and their voluntarily being locked up (i.e., staying) in their bedchambers (boudoirs, indoors, homes). So nothing was known about their conditions (achievements, high rank, great knowledge etc).

Follow Those Who Have Died; The Living Are Not Safe From Fitnah

The Great Companion,
‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) said:

Whoever wants to follow a path, let him follow the path of one who has died, for indeed the living are not safe from fitnah.

I mean (follow) the Companions of Muhammad (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

They were the best of this ‘ummah: the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge and the most straightforward.

Allah chose them

to accompany His Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and establish His religion,

so recognize their status

and follow in their footsteps

and adhere as much as you can to their example of conduct and attitude,

for they followed true guidance.

“Indeed, I am upon two blessings, I do not know which of them is greater: that Allah guided me to Islam, and that He did not make me a Haruri (Khariji).”

Shaykh Abdurazzaq Al-Badr حفظه الله commented on this:

“It is obligatory upon everyone who has been saved by Allah from the ideology of the Khawarij to thank Allah for this great blessing.

There is no greater trial, especially in this era, than to see the extensive crimes they commit against Muslims, their takfir (excommunication), and their shedding of innocent blood.”

DO NOT BELITTLE OTHERS 🚫

Allah the Exalted forbids scoffing at people, which implies humiliating and belittling them.

In the Sahih, it is recorded that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Arrogance is refusing the truth and belittling people." (Jami at-Tirmidhi 1999 | Sahih)

And in another Version: "And despising people." (Sunan Abi Dawud 4092 | Sahih)

It is forbidden to scoff at and belittle people, for the injured party could be more honored and dearer to Allah the Exalted than those who ridicule and belittle them.

Duā of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) when drinking Zamzam water

Abdullah ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) saw a man drinking zamzam water. So he said: ‘Do you know how to drink zamzam water?’ He said: ‘How do I drink zamzam water oh Ibn Abbas?’ He said: ‘If you want to drink the zamzam, then pull a bucket of it, then face the qiblah and say: Bismillah. Breathe three times while drinking and drink until you are full. Then say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمَاً نَافِعَاًً وَرِزْقَاً وَاسِعَاًَ وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ

Allahumma inni as aluka ’ilman nafi'a wa rizqan wasi’a wa shifa’an min kulli da

O Allah! Grant me beneficial knowledge, an abundant provision, and a healing from every disease.

Question: May Allah bless you. He says his mother is old in age, has diabetes, and cannot control her urine (bowel). She urinates on herself and she is also unable to move. So what is upon her (to do) in the prayer?

Answer: If there is someone who can help her, and wash the place (with the impurity) and change her clothes without her having favour upon her, then this is required.

And If no one is available (to help), then fear Allah as much as you are able to, and do what you are able to, and she can pray in her state.

📌 Question:
The people of innovation say that dividing Tawheed into three categories is a newly invented matter. What is the response to them?

📜 Answer:
The response to them is that this is mentioned in the Book of Allah: "To Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them" (Quran 7:180), "And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess even as much as the membrane of a date seed. If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication" (Quran 35:13-14), and "If you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely say, 'Allah'" (Quran 31:25). This is mentioned in the Book of Allah.

Furthermore, as I recall, Abdul-Razzaq ibn Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad has written a valuable treatise refuting this claim and has provided the evidence. If you look into the Book of Tawheed in Sahih Bukhari, you will find it mentions Tawhid ar-Rububiyyah, Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah, and Tawhid al-Asma wa-Sifat. This is also how our early scholars approached it, such as Ubaydullah ibn Battah, may Allah have mercy on him, who divided Tawheed into three categories.

One can argue with them by saying: classifying words into nouns, verbs, and particles could be considered an innovation, and so could other classifications. However, this categorisation is supported by the Quran and Sunnah. Our scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, have authored numerous works on this subject. And Allah is the one whose help is sought.

Take advantage of your time and utilise it by performing voluntary acts of prayer outside the prohibited times. Likewise,increase in the recitation of the Book of Allāh, keeping your tongue occupied with praising Allah, seeking forgiveness from Him, supplicating Him, attending the lessons of the scholars and performing other good deeds in the Prophet’s Mosque just as you would perform in any other mosque.

Shaykhul Islām (may Allāh have mercy on him) mentioned, “The righteous predecessors used to carry out the legislated acts of worshipin his ﷺ mosque, that are carried out in all other mosques; the likes ofperforming prayer, reading the Qurān, reading various supplications, invoking Allāh, supplication, E‘tikāf, teaching the Qurān and islamic knowledge, learning it, and so forth [1].”

Muqatil b. Hayyan said:

“Tabarruj is when a woman puts a Khimar (cover) on her head but does not tie it properly.”
So her necklaces, earrings and neck, and all of that can be seen.

Then the doctor, who was Jewish, asked him, "Are you a Muslim?" He replied, "Yes."

The doctor said, "Read the Quran, and your speech will return." The man says, "So I started reading the Quran continuously, and now I speak better than I did before the stroke."

*Be Careful Of Being Like This With Your Wife*

Ash-Shawkaani [رحمه الله] said:

❝Indeed those of the people who have the highest status in goodness and are the most rightful in being characterised with the truth are those who are the best of the people to their wives.

Indeed the wife and family are those who have the most right to joy and happiness, deserving of good manners and kindness, and bringing them benefit and repelling harm from them.

When a man is like this then he is the best of the people and if he is the opposite of that, then he is at the other extreme of evil.

There are many of the people who fall into this dilemma, so you see a man who when he meets his family he is the worst of the people in manners, the most miserly person and the least of the people with goodness.

When he meets other than his family, non-relatives he becomes soft and timid, has delightful manners, and improves himself, and his goodness increases.

There is no doubt that the person who is like this then he is prohibited from success, has deviated away from the correct path. We ask Allaah for security.❞

By Allah! If your hearts were sick and bodies healthy, you will be more insignificant to Allaah than dung beetles.

If you want Allah to bless you ten times, remove ten of your sins, and elevate you ten degrees, send blessings upon the Prophet ‎ﷺ once.

If you want Allah to bless you a hundred times, remove a hundred of your sins, and elevate you a hundred degrees, send blessings upon the Prophet ‎ﷺ ten times.

And so on, whenever you send blessings upon him ‎ﷺ, multiply it by ten without any limit.

The Prophet ‎ﷺ said:
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will bless him ten times, remove ten of his sins, and elevate him ten degrees.”

And this is not specific to Fridays, but on Fridays, it is more virtuous.

« اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي

(Allahumma aslih li deeni-l ladhi huwa ismatu amri)

O Allah, set right for me my religious commitment, which is the safeguard of my affairs.

وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي

(wa aslih li dunyaya-l lati fiha ma'ashi)

and set right for me my worldly affairs in which is my living

وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي

(wa aslih li aakhirati-l lati fiha ma'adi)

and set right for me my Hereafter in which will be my final abode

وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ

(waj'ali-lhayata ziyadatan li fi kulli khairin)

and make this life (for me) a means of increase in all that is good

وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ »

(waj'ali-l mawta rahatan li min kulli sharrin)

and make death a relief for me from all evil."

🍃💐 *Reward Equivalent To A Year Of Fasting And Praying*

📜 From Aws Bin Aws Ath-Thaqafi who said I heard the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] saying:

❝Whoever performs a perfect Ghusl on Friday then goes very early to the Khutbah, walking and not riding, sits close to the Imam, listens and does not speak or keep himself busy then for every step towards the Khutbah is the reward equivalent to a year of fasting and praying.❞

[Collected By Ahmad, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi | Authenticated By Al-Albaani In Saheeh al-Jama as-Sagheer, (No. 6405)].

✍🏼 Shaykh Ali al-Qari [رحمه الله] said:

❝The people of knowledge say: 'We do not know of a Hadeeth of the Prophet [ﷺ] which has more reward than this Hadeeth.'❞

Our Good Deeds Are By The Mercy Of Allaah

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibnu Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:

« َيَجِبُّ أن يَعلَـمَ العَبـدُّ أنَّ عَمَلَـهُ مِن الحَسَنَـاتِ هُـوَ بِفَـضلِ اللَّهِ وَرَحمَتِـه ومِن نِعمَتِـهِ كَمَـا قَـالَ أهـلُ الجَنَّـةِ : 'الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهتَدِيَّ لَولَا أَن هَـدَانَا اللَّهُ'»

❝It is obligatory upon a slave of Allaah to know that the good deeds which he does are by the virtue of Allaah upon him, with Allaah's Mercy and from His blessings. Just as the people of Paradise said:

«الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهتَدِيَّ لَولَا أَن هَـدَانَا اللَّهُ»

'All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Who has guided us to this, never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allaah had guided us!'❞

Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhayli:

From the mistakes of pretenders to knowledge, from their crimes, and from their lies against the scholars is that they transmit the speech of a scholar about an incident that has a specific time and place and specific circumstances and apply it to an incident whose time, place, and circumstances are different. So they attribute to the scholar what he did not say by applying his words to the new incident.

Jurists know that such an action is not permissible. Even if we assume that the situation is the same, it is not permissible to transmit his speech unless it is known that the requirements are the same and that impediments and obstacles are absent. It is not permissible for anyone to do this except a Mujtahid who has complete knowledge of the words of the scholar.

So beware of the pretenders to knowledge, the deceivers, the frauds, for they are astray and lead others astray. Rather, you must adhere to the way of the scholars.

Our Lord descends every night to the sky of this world when the last third of the night remains.

The prophet (ﷺ) said in an authentic ḥadīth:

يَنْزِلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ ، يَقُولُ : مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ ؟ مَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ؟ مَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي ؟ فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ

Our Lord, the blessed and exalted, descends every night to the sky of this world when the last third of the night remains. He asks, “Who is calling on me so I can answer him? Who is asking me (for anything) so I can give (it to) him? Who is asking for my forgiveness so I can forgive him?”

When two piles of clothes and food had been amassed, I saw the face of the Prophet ʿalayhi al-salam radiate with pleasure and he said, ‘He who introduces into Islam a good habit will be given its merit as well as the merit accumulated by all those who practise it after him, without them missing out on any merit themselves; but he who introduces into Islam a bad habit, has to bear its burden as well as the burden of all those who practise it after him without them avoiding any of that burden.’

There are three primary opinions regarding whether or not touching a woman nullifies a man's wuḍūʾ.
Some scholars argue ablution is necessary as lustful contact leads to ḥadath. Others believe that wuḍūʾ is required whatever the nature of the touch. The third opinion, and the most correct, is that wuḍūʾ is only necessary if ejaculation has taken place.

💎🌸🎀💕 RIGHTEOUS WIFE

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:

A righteous wife will be with her righteous husband for many years, and she is the one who is meant in the hadeeth in which the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“This world is temporary conveniences and the best of its comforts is a believing wife, who when you look at her she pleases you and

- if you tell her to do something she obeys you, and

- if you are away from her she protects you with regard to herself and your wealth.”

This is what the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) enjoined when the Muhaajiroon asked him which kind of wealth they should acquire, and he said:

“Let one of you acquire :

- a tongue that remembers Allaah,
- a thankful heart, and
- a believing wife who will help him with regard to the Hereafter.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi from Saalim ibn Abi’l-Ja’d, from Thawbaan.

She may offer the love and compassion that Allaah speaks of in His Book, and the pain of separation may be harder for her than death in some cases, and harder than losing wealth or leaving one’s homeland, especially if one of them is fond of the other or they have children together who will be harmed by separation.
