NTPC Green - Potential India's Largest Green H2 Plant - 400 KT Plant

NTPC is setting up a 1-tonne-per-day seawater-to-green hydrogen plant in Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh, as a pilot project.

The project aims to facilitate hydrogen production from low-grade water sources like seawater.

The project includes a 1,200-tonne-per-day green hydrogen production facility, making it one of India’s largest.

Half of the facility will focus on producing derivatives such as green ammonia, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel.
