🌟 Empowering Educators, Transforming students’ Lives 🌟

High school is a critical time in a student’s life, where guidance and support can make all the difference in shaping their academic success, personal growth, and resilience.
At Rejoice Africa, we believe that mentorship is the cornerstone of empowering young minds and creating a brighter future.
Recognizing this need, we recently conducted a two-day capacity-building training for 49 women teachers from 48 government high schools across Addis Ababa.

The training, held at the Azzeman Hotel, focused on two vital themes: Mentorship and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention. These teachers, who are Gender Club coordinators and members, play a pivotal role in fostering gender equity and addressing systemic challenges in schools.

💡 Highlights of the Training:
✅ Mentorship Skills: Teachers learned practical strategies to guide students through academic and social challenges, emphasizing the transformative power of mentorship in reducing gender disparities and boosting confidence.
✅ GBV Prevention: A seasoned prosecutor with over 10 years of experience shared actionable insights on identifying, preventing, and responding to GBV in schools.

On International UN Day, young leaders development program attended from Addis Ababa University's a ceremony at the newly renovated Africa Hall, where they engaged with ambassadors and received inspiring messages about unity and peace. SPARK SESSION With UN Ethiopia
Launching Event

On International UN Day, a group of aspiring young leaders from our Addis Ababa University Young Leaders Development Program participated in a special ceremony with ambassadors at the re-renovated Africa Hall at the Economic Commission of Africa (ECA). During the ceremony, the young leaders were inspired by powerful messages of unity, collaboration, and peace. This experience ignited a sense of purpose within them, encouraging them to envision a future where they could contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world.

The day also featured a tour of the ECA library, where they were given access to the on-site library and examined useful materials about global issues and the UN's role in resolving them. They also went to the "Greening the Blue" campaign, which encourages environmental sustainability. Reflecting on their experiences, the young leaders left with renewed hope and determination, realizing their potential to be powerful forces for good in creating a just, peaceful, and sustainable future.

In our context, being gifted means having a note worthy of endowment, such as athletic, creative, or artistic aptitude. It's having general intelligence, or mental power. In other words, having talent. It may be 🎨artistic talents like acting and playing an instrument or 🏀 sport talents like balance and coordination... It may also be 🧠academic talents like mathematical thinking, problem solving, reading, researching, and story telling, or 👥interpersonal talents like teamwork. 👨‍🦱Personal talents like organizing, communication, and time management. These are small lists to get you inspired to start diagnosing yourself. If you know that you are a gifted person and can excellently point them out in your life, you may even have been impressed by them multiple times and love using and serving with these gifts, do you know that you can do better than expected using these gifts? Discipline is necessary for gifts so they can reach their full potential. The key to fully making use of these gifts with excellence and consistent record-breaking is "self-discipline".
