Here is Balarama the baby street calf recovering from lumpy skin disease. He is so much better than a couple months ago. In between there were a few times I thought he would probably not make it, but now everything has changed. Every day he gets a little closer to full recovery.

Today during cyclone Dana around thirty street bulls and cows are taking shelter at our temple and goshala. We have put cows where ever we can fit them, spread out in five places around our temple property. I wish we had better facilities for them, but right now this is the best we can do. One day we will get a proper land where the cows can be given better facilities.

We are feeding two liters of milk each day to the sick street calf with lumpy skin disease. We didn't know if he would like commercial milk, but he loves it. Its not as good as his mother's milk but at least its some nourishment.
