you cant become a consumption based economy if you are an export-oriented economy with asian savers and depressed wage growth (cant raise wages if not you will be uncompetitive), huge unemployed youth population and rapidly growing aging population. they keep saying the same thing but they refuse to do helicopter stimulus checks. at the same time....you are facing currency devaluation pressures while trying to artificially prop it up. Once you devalue again, your imports gonna be expensive. Consumption wont be cheap.

You already know my view on the market: I'm taking trades as long as they align with clean setups and staying defensive with Bitcoin under $100k. That’s my line—above it, I’m comfortable; below it, I dial back my exposure and play it more cautiously. A big part of this strategy is my belief that we’re on borrowed time for this leg of the rally. I expect the market to see some profit-taking as we approach year-end and the inauguration. The reason I am willing to mark off a close level and "buy up" is because momentum trades like this tend to work as things grow parabolic. It's a basic breakout strategy, and I am aware that the end of moves can often yield the largest percent increase in a very short amount of time.
Yesterday was an anomaly. Alts didn’t even have time to react to Bitcoin’s drop because a significant portion of the move originated from a single exchange position (OKX). I doubt we’ll get that kind of luck again, so I’m keeping it in mind moving forward.
Rather than a dull video reiterating everything I’ve already posted, I’ll focus on breaking down the specific Bitcoin long I took after yesterday’s liquidations. I’ll explain why that trade worked so well, so you can spot these opportunities in the future and capitalize on them as high-probability "pocket ace" trades.

Below, I link a good article from Cullen Roche. Smart money has been betting on a US bond and debt blow up for at least 15 years, maybe 50. The warnings you hear today are the same warnings you heard in 2011 and 2013 and 2016, using the exact same words. It is appealing to imagine that higher debt leads to higher yields, but the opposite has been the case for the past 30 years. Structurally higher debt and structurally lower and lower yields have been the path in reality. If you want to bet on deficits, gold seems cleaner than bonds.
The argument can always be made that this deficit to yields relationship is nonlinear and the tipping point is just around the corner. That is intellectually appealing, but has been the consistent clarion call for, like, ever. Until you see USD and UST selling off in tandem a few days in a row, the fiscal risk premium in the US is minimal. And when you do, you can bet that the government will intervene, and quickly put an end to it, just like they did in the UK in 2022 and the EU in 2011.
