inflow trends over the past few days has been a reversal => we are seeing eth inflows vs btc outflows. Post 10Jan, we could see a further acceleration of that as people rotate out to book in favourable LT capital gains tax rate vs ST.
My bet going into the new year is to be bullish alts/btc.

Current thoughts on elections
Alot of pre-hedging done in the market. Think that while a trump victory is much more positive for crypto, both candidates are on the road for dual fiscal and monetary stimulus. With so much event variance baked into the elections, on balance - markets will rally as the unwinding flow goes through.
Move for crypto probably comes later after - ~1 week later as the market first unwinds positions and players tack on additional risk. The real fun starts when BTC is above 80k, especially for alts.
The only take-away that is useful for most people is STAY AWAY FROM LEVERAGE. Taking levered positions increases your fragility, i.e stopped out or liquidated before the real moves comes.
