💡 *E-Invoicing*
- To fully implement e-invoicing by July 1 next year. Businesses opt-in will be eligible for accelerated capital allowances related to the purchase of ICT equipment, software packages, and consultancy fees, claimable in full amount within two years.

💡 *Business Financing*
- RM40 billion is allocated as loan facilities and business financing guarantees under government agencies.
- RM1.3 billion allocated to empower contractors in categories G1-G4, specifically Bumiputera contractors to undertake small and medium projects such as road construction, as well as the repair and maintenance of public infrastructure.
- RM200 million has been allocated for the Cakna 2 Scheme to support the cash flow of G1-G4 contractors in completing government projects valued at up to RM1.5 million

*🇲🇾 iFAST Budget 2025 – Quick Points*

💡 *Cash Aids*
- RM13 billion for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) to benefit 9 million Malaysians.
- Maximum rate received by households to be increased to RM4,600 from RM 3,700.
- 4.1 million eligible STR households will receive SARA of RM100 per month.

💡 *Living Cost*
- RON95 subsidy rationalisation will start mid-2025, but 85% of the population will still enjoy the subsidy.
- Higher fees for the top 15% income group at fully residential schools and public universities and public healthcare service.
- My50 Monthly Pass to be continued

💡 *Tax*
- 2% tax on dividends over RM100,000 received by individuals starting 2025.
- The expanded SST will begin on May 1, 2025, exempting basic food items but applying sales tax to premium imports like salmon and avocados.
- Increased excise duty on sugary drinks by RM 0.40/L starting January 1, 2025.
- Carbon tax on iron, steel and energy industries to promote adoption of low carbon technologies.

💡 *Tax Relief*
*Individual*
- Tax exemption increase to RM4,000 on premium payments for education and medical insurance.
- Tax relief on premiums for Private Retirement Schemes is also being extended to 2030.
- First home tax relief on home loan interest payments
- Up to RM 7,000: Homes costing up to RM500,000
- Up to RM5,000: Home costing between RM500,000 to RM750,000.

*Business*
- 50% tax deduction on cost expenses for companies implementing flexible work arrangements.
- 50% tax deduction for employers of workers caring for disabled or sick family members.
- More tax cuts for MNEs under New Investment Incentive Framework in 3Q25.

💡 *Employment*
- RM 7.5 billion allocation for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
- Minimum wage increased to RM 1,700 from RM 1,500 per month starting Feb 1, 2025.
- RM 200 million for the full implementation of the Progressive Wage Policy next year.

💡 *Investments*
- Tax packages and a Single Family Office scheme announced for the Forest City special financial zone.
- GLICs to increase direct investment in the country amounting to RM120 billion for a five-year period.
- Khazanah to provide RM1 billion to lead investments that support the local semiconductor industry.
- New Investment Incentive Framework that focuses on high-value activities expected to be implemented in 2025.

💡 *Housing*
- Skim Jaminan Kredit Perumahan (SJKP) to guarantee loans for first-time home buyers up to RM 500,000 for homes developed on wakaf land.

💡 *SME*
- RM 1 billion National Fund-of-Funds initiative to support venture capital fund in start-up investment, commencing next month
- RM1bil allocation by Retirement Fund (Incorporated) under Pioneer Fund to support local start-up companies with RM200mil
- Bank Negara will provide RM3.8bil in SME funding loans to support entrepreneurs transitioning to digitalisation and automation, and to continue assisting the agri-food sector and sustainable practices.

💡 *Investment*
- Tax packages and a Single Family Office scheme announced for the Forest City special financial zone.
- GLIC through its GEAR-uP initiative will increase direct investment in the country amounting to RM120 billion for a five-year period, RM25 billion allocated in 2025.

💡 *Infrastructure*
- Anwar's emphasis of “Now is not the time for mega projects,” adding that development spending will focus on projects that benefit the public and on upgrading facilities supporting industrial areas.

💡 *Green energy: Solar & EV*
- Large Scale Solar (LSS) Program evaluation is expected to be completed in Dec 2024.
- Increase National Energy Transition Facilitation Fund to RM300 million from RM100 million in 2024.

💡 *Exports*
- RM750mil to be prepared under the Exporter Sustainability Incentive Scheme by EXIM Bank to encourage exporters to broaden their operations.
